I’ve been tested 6 times this year alone for it and no medication has made it stay away, I was tested and positive for mycoplasma and got rid of that but the bv just stays no matter what! My doctor now prescribed me 1 week of oral metronidazole (which never worked for me) along with 1 month of boric acid suppository, after that 4-6 months of metronidazole gel. Has anyone tried this and does it work? I heard biofilm defense can help and taking vitamins with lactobacillus can but I just don’t have much hope. Just need advice I’m scared to try some things I’ve heard but I just want to be done with this! It sucks too cause I feel like I can’t have sex while taking suppositories and this is for 4-6 months, feel defeated

I just finished my meds for bv and mgen a few days ago, me and my boyfriend had protected sex with a condom after I was done with the meds, and we didn’t have lube so he used his spit. it was starting to hurt because of the lack of lubrication during it so that’s why he used it as well. Afterwards I went pee and it burned bad. Yesterday I went int clinic and got retested for bv, yeast, trich and mgen all came back negative thank god ( been struggling for over a year to get rid of it) but since we had sex my vagina and urethra have both been itchy. My vagina is the inside and outside area. No burning while I’m peeing anymore now just that once and no other symptoms, what’s wrong? it’s really bothering me!

I got swabbed for bv and mgen and I got positives for both, that was my first time for mgen but been dealing with bv a month before I met my boyfriend. I was with someone else two months prior before him. He got tested the other day too and it was negative and I haven’t been with anyone since we’ve been together.I haven’t done anything to dis earn his trust but he just seems to not believe me that I most have slept with someone to get this. I haven’t and idk how else to tell him the truth?? We’ve been together since August 2025 and we’re pretty good about using condoms but don’t sometimes I just don’t know how he doesn’t have it either. just stunned is there any explanation or advice about this?

I’ve had this ongoing problem with BV for a year now, it always comes back. I’ve tried the gel, didn’t work. I tried metronidazole, didn’t work. I’ve tried boric acid, didn’t work. I just got tested for BV again and mycoplasma for the first time the other day, both came back positive, they prescribed me 14 days of metronidazole, the gel and an antibiotic for the mycoplasma. I just need advice on which order to take this and how to make sure it doesn’t come back. This problem started a little before I met my bf and I’m worried I gave him the mycoplasma as well so he’s getting tested. I’ve read that is he takes the metronidazole it could help me as well? Idk I’m just confused on what to do with all this stuff and I’m just exhausted with this issue. Please help

I feel terrible. I’m trying to come off of these things, been taking them since I was 15 I’m now 20, started off at 10mg, been taking 5mg for about 2 years, but omg I feel like shit the brain fog and headaches and I’m so lightheaded, exhausted and nauseous all the time. I almost passed out at work today and threw up from the smell of food I was cooking.
I’ve been napping so much too I can’t feel well rested, the first like 5 days off this I felt great, it’s just gone downhill and today is one of the worst days I’ve had. Also very sensitive and crying over lots of little things. How long does this last I want to quit taking it because I don’t want to be reliant on it anymore but I just don’t know how long I can deal with these withdrawals it sucks
