Help Us Keep Our Community Hydrated

For the last 3 days, the Philly People of Hope team has been out in extreme heat serving free groceries and meals to our neighbors. Because of the demand and the high temperatures, we've completely run out of bottled water to hand out while families wait in line.

We still have 2 more intense giveaway days ahead of us. Since many other food programs and organizations aren't operating this week, we've been seeing even larger crowds than usual.

If anyone is able to donate cases of bottled water, it would make a huge difference.

Drop off address for water: 6114 Chestnut St phila pa 19139

To help us purchase:

Cashapp: $phillypeopleofhope

Venmo: Phillypeopleofhope

P.S we are giving food out again today July 5th from 11.30am til 4pm

And Monday 6th 12.30om til 6pm

For anyone who needs to get free groceries, come on out

Follow us to see our journey to help Philadelphia

Received $25 via Venmo. I am going to Walmart to buy as many cases of waters as I can.

It’s my birthday tomorrow6/28/2026 — I want to bake cakes for the community 🎂 (Philly People of hope)

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow is my birthday, and honestly, I don’t want to make it just about me. I adore this community deeply, and I really do try to practice “love each other” in real life — not just in words, but through action.

For my birthday, I want to bake cakes and give them away to the community as a small celebration of love, joy, and togetherness.

I’m asking if anyone has any extra cake pans, boxed cake mix, frosting, eggs, oil, flour, sugar, sprinkles, foil pans, or other baking supplies they’d be willing to donate.

Philly People of Hope would also love to serve meals with the cakes, so donations toward food, ingredients, and supplies are appreciated too.

Donate to Philly People of Hope:

Cash App: $phillypeopleofhope

Venmo: @phillypeopleofhope

You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram: Philly People of Hope

Thank you to anyone who helps me turn my birthday into something the whole community can feel.

P.s If your coming to the birthday celebration/free giveaway it is at 6114 Chestnut St Phila PA 19139 and it starts at 1pm

Donation received via Venmo: $10

(Imma buy 2 boxes of cake mix and some frosting for cupcakes).

I already have a cake to also share

Philly People of Hope launched merch to help support our community pantry! (Tshirts, airpod cases and more!)

Hi everyone,

Philly People of Hope just launched a small merch shop to help support our community work. We are a grassroots, community-led food pantry serving hundreds of people every week across Philly, including families, seniors, disabled neighbors, unhoused residents, and people being failed by the system. With school out for the summer, we are expecting food needs to increase heavily. Every purchase helps us keep showing up with food, hygiene items, clothing, outreach, deliveries, and emergency support for neighbors.

Shop here:
https://philly-people-of-hope-shop.fourthwall.com

Even if you cannot buy anything, sharing the link helps a lot. We are also still accepting donations, sponsors, volunteers, and nonperishable food.

You can also donate!

Here we go again!!

Hey everyone, just wanted to give a quick update.

ShopRite gave us 3 boxes of ramen and mac and cheese, and it was gone in less than 3 hours. People’s Fridge pulled up to make sure we had at least something on the shelves, and we’re grateful for that. But the truth is, the loads we’re getting from Sharing Excess are getting smaller, while the need keeps growing. Families, seniors, disabled neighbors, and people just trying to survive are still showing up. We even fundraised for dinner for 3 days and only raised $60 total. We know people are tired. We know everyone is being asked for help everywhere. But we also know people are hungry right now.

We are not a big organization with a warehouse full of food. We are grassroots, community-led, and doing the best we can with what comes in.

Thank you to everyone who keeps showing up, sharing, donating, and believing this work matters. These shelves do not stay full long — and that tells you everything about the need. And yes we applied for every grant possibly.

(Please no hate comments. I'm expectionally tired of seeing negativity when we just trying to get the community more help)

Recieved $50 on venmo (Ordering 2- 25 pound bags of red kidney beans)

just to give more insight: My team and I work our asses off daily while working full time jobs. We do not get paid for any of this work involving PpOH. We even put our own money into this pantry. We are a group of people that loves the community and fight for change. If the city won't give us the funding we need, yes, I'll ask reddit, facebook, Instagram, and call up every where possible to make sure the community has what it needs! One day, there wont be no grants to even rely on given who is in office. We do apply for grants but we are an outspoken grassroot org that fights for the vunerable.

On a comedy note: tired of us asking? If you have connections help us out! Share us to media, and anywhere else! Push our message out! You already have our socials, websites and daily proof of our work!
