Realtors in North Philly

I need some solid recommendations because I’ve already worked with two realtors and I'm getting tired of the B.S.

Looking to rent a house ASAP which will turn into buying as going through mortgage process but it takes some time to save for the down payment to buy a house.

The first realtor took way too long to respond to anything.

The second realtor actually scheduled a viewing with us, we showed up…and the damn keys didn’t even work at the door.

At this point, I just need a realtor who is responsive, reliable, knows North Philly, and actually follows through.

Anybody have someone they've personally worked with and would recommend?

Edit: Nicetown West Side (North Philly)

Please keep an eye out for my wallet — West Philly. Potentionally anywhere in philly by now.

During a resource fair today at 31 N. 60th St (that I organized funny enough) my purse was taken. I serve this community every day, so this is extremely fucking with my mental state.

The wallet is a black vintage/1950s-style clutch with a rustic gold metal top, very small but incredibly detailed handcrafted red roses, and a distinctive WHITE PAINT MARK on the bottom-left. Its like a tiny dot. If someone tries to sell it, those details should make it recognizable.

My cards were used. Already reported transactions are being reported, and yes, I’ll be able to go to the store tomorrow to view the footage.

This already hurts because it hinders our move into our commercial space, but the wallet is what hurts the most. The person who gave it to me is no longer here. It was the last thing they ever gave me, and I kept it for over 10 years — until today.

I just really would like my wallet back.

Today was absolutely exhausting.

I’m fucking pissed about today.

I spent the day giving out free school clothes, shoes, groceries, books and resources to families, and somewhere in the middle of all that, my purse disappeared.

My black tote, my cards, cash, and most importantly, my vintage wallet that had real sentimental value to me. Then I find out my cards were being used.

Yes, the transactions are reported. Already contacted stores to view footage

But that wallet? That’s what really fucked with me. Money can be replaced. Cards can be replaced. Some things cannot.

I spend so much of my life helping people and serving the community. Having something like this happen in the middle of doing exactly that just pissed me the fuck off.

Today was exhausting.

Help Amplify Philly People Of Hope Community Resource Instagram!

Hey everyone. I’m with Philly People of Hope (PPOH), a grassroots organization in Philadelphia providing direct services and advocacy for homeless and low-income residents.

Right now, we really need visibility. We’ve been raising concerns about conditions inside Philadelphia’s homeless shelter system, documenting what we’re seeing and hearing, filing public-records requests, and pushing for accountability. The records fight has now reached the court appeal process.

We need more people seeing this work, sharing it, and paying attention. If you’re willing, please follow our Instagram and share our page or the video below. I’ll also attach a photo of our Instagram profile so we’re easy to find.

Please Watch and Share This Video To Raise Awareness About The Homeless Shelter Conditions (Office Of Homeless Services)

Hey folks,

I posted this video around and sharing it here to raise awareness about the Office of homeless services. Years into this battle. I finally feel comfortable enough to take them to court personally. This is the start to accountability and I believe everyone should know what going on, how tax dollars being spent and how H U D dollars are being spent. And most importantly, how are they going to fix how unhoused people are being treated inside the homeless shelter system.

If you can, please pass this along for visibility and awareness. Thank you.

Help Philly People of Hope Move Into Our New Permanent Commerical Space

Hi everyone. Philly People of Hope (PPOH), is a grassroots organization serving people experiencing homelessness, low-income families, seniors, children, and other community members throughout Philadelphia. We provide free food, clothing, hygiene supplies, outreach, resource connections, advocacy, and other direct support to the community. A lot of what we do happens 7 days a week, and we do not charge the people we serve.

We now have an opportunity to move into a commercial space that will give us more room to store supplies, organize distributions, meet with people who need help, and continue growing our community and advocacy work.

We need $3,600 toward getting into the space. Our team has already personally put in $1,000, so we are trying to raise the remaining $2,600.

Anyone hiring for assistant or even grant writing?

I have 8+ years of experience handling a wide range of administrative work and am currently looking for opportunities with solo attorneys, small businesses, busy realtors, nonprofits, other organizations or just any individual needing an assistant!

My experience includes administrative support, legal research and document formatting (non-attorney services), grant research and writing, business to business contact lists, professional correspondence, document preparation, data entry, various types of research, client intake, scheduling, spreadsheets, and other day-to-day office tasks.

I live close to the EL, so getting to work anywhere in the city isn't an issue. The issue is I keep getting this overqualified or no call back. Total burn out. Freelancing is okay. But, I'd want to really get back into the swing of steady things.

If you know of anyone hiring or looking for reliable administrative support, I'd appreciate any leads. Feel free to DM me😭❤️

Hourly rate: $25-$30 an hour

Help Build Philadelphia's New Community Hub

We always love the people.

Philly People of Hope (PPOH) we believe people shouldn't have to face hunger, hardship, or broken systems alone. That's why we provide direct services like food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and resource navigation while also advocating for our neighbors and pushing for greater accountability from public systems.

Like many grassroots organizations, we don't always have large funding behind us. Sometimes the cost of serving our community comes directly out of our own pockets because needs don't stop when funding runs low. We simply do the best we can with what we have.

An opportunity of a lifetime is here and we can more into a larger commercial space on the 1900 block of W. Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19140

It's an opportunity to store more food for the community expand our programs, serve more people, and create a permanent space where our community knows they can turn for support.

To make this move possible, we're working to raise $3,400.

Hit by car, pain still there years later. 32, female, PHL

Hi everyone,

I am a 32 year old female, light smoker, Not a drinker.

I was hit by a car on August 17, 2022. The driver fled the scene. I went to the ER because my left knee was in severe pain, and I could barely move it. They gave me a knee brace and referred me to an orthopedic doctor.

The orthopedic doctor found fluid in my knee and drained it. They did X-rays, an MRI, and other tests, and told me everything looked fine.

By 2024, I was still having ongoing knee pain, so after about two years of bringing it up, I was referred to another orthopedic specialist. They repeated imaging, told me it was arthritis, and prescribed arthritis medication.

Now 2026, everything is just getting worse and worse.

The pain is still there every day, but what worries me most is that my knee randomly gives out. I can be standing still or just walking, and it suddenly buckles. Sometimes it also gets so stiff that I can barely bend it.

I help care for a community and spend a lot of time on my feet, including around children, so having my knee suddenly give out is becoming a real safety concern.

Has anyone seen this happen even when an MRI and X-rays don't show anything significant? Is there another type of specialist I should see, or should I get another opinion from a knee specialist? I'm trying to figure out what my next step should be because something doesn't feel right.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Seeking Philanthropic Investment in Philadelphia Direct Services and Government Accountability

Hello all, I am Ms. Angelique, founder of Philly People of Hope, an organization serving homeless, low-income, disabled, and anyone who is unheard throughout Philadelphia.

What began as direct street outreach has grown into a seven-day operation providing groceries, hot meals, clothing, hygiene products, emergency deliveries, housing support, referrals, and advocacy. During our busiest weeks, we have served more than 850 people.

Our work also includes government accountability. We use public records, court processes, community education, documentation, and advocacy to challenge harmful conditions and push public agencies to answer to the people they serve. A major focus of this work is Philadelphia’s homeless-services and shelter systems.

We are now preparing to move into an official commercial space. The location will be used for food storage, outreach operations, housing support, meetings with families, workshops for everyone to get work skills, senior care, and as a partial workspace for our government-accountability efforts.

We are looking to connect with:

• Philanthropic and impact-focused funders

• Corporate and community sponsors

• Funders supporting government transparency and public accountability

• Donors interested in food access, homelessness, poverty relief, and policy change

• Businesses willing to contribute equipment, supplies, or professional services

• Experienced individuals who can help us build sustainable funding relationships

We are seeking mission-aligned people who understand the importance of investing in grassroots infrastructure, direct community support, and independent government accountability.

Philly People of Hope is already doing the work. We need partners who can help us build the capacity and stability required to take it further.
