Will Democrats be punished in 2028 if they don't deliver on 2026 promises?
Something I've been a bit concerned about for the 2028 election is that Democrats often fail to deliver on their agendas due to political infighting between the left and right wingd of the party. Of course, 2008 & 2020 are clear examples at the national level, but are there any examples of state-level parties been able to ensure the coalition works together well? And moreover, if the state coaliton passes a watered-down bill, from what was campaigned on, is there any data to show if voters rewarded or punished the state party?
Could be slightly difficult to examine since politics has become so national, but would also be curious if local Republican parties have any examples.
