Had my first service today. Pretty uneventful, which I guess is a good thing 😂

Booked through the app, reached on time, got regular updates, picked it up in the evening.

Honestly expected a lot more drama after reading online forums, i was mentally prepped to make a hate comment here 🤣

Girlies, what's your face shaving routine?

I've recently started face shaving every week, mostly because my makeup sits so much better afterwards, but I'm still figuring out the best routine.

Do you guys shave on freshly cleansed skin? Use an oil?

I usually shave while my cleanser is still lathered on. I prefer a foaming one like the CeraVe one because it gives enough slip without making things messy. Also consulted with my derm and it doesnt give me any breakouts as well. Once I'm done, I just wash everything off, the cleanser and the tiny hairs, and then go in with a toner.

It's been working well for me so far, but I'm sure there are better tricks out there. Would love to know what everyone else does and if there's a hack I can steal.

My Rapido rider gave me a free ather test ride. now I'm buying one 😂

Had booked a Rapido after work because it started drizzling out of nowhere. The ride ended up being almost 40 minutes because of traffic and somehow we just kept talking the whole way. Started with Blr traffic, then jobs, then cricket, then family.

I mentioned I'd always wanted an EV and he just goes, "Bhai, try mine."

He literally hopped on the pillion and let me ride his ather till we reached my drop location 😂

I knew the scooter had cool features like maps and all, but the ride felt smooth

the free test ride worked❤️. Going to buy one now ❤️

One random ride home made me rethink what actually matters in a scooter.

Yesterday’s ride home was supposed to take 20 minutes. Somehow it ended up taking almost

an hour because of the rain.

The funny part is traffic wasn’t even the biggest issue. It was trying to figure out which roads

were actually okay to cross and which ones had potholes hiding under all that water. You really

can’t tell sometimes until you’re already in it. After I got home, I realized I spend so much time

comparing specs online but barely think about whether the scooter can actually deal with the

kind of roads I ride on every week.

I’ve been reading more owner experiences since then and came across quite a few people

talking about the Chetak after riding through this year’s rains. Honestly, those are the reviews

I’m finding more useful now than the usual spec sheet comparisons.

For people who’ve owned EV scooters through multiple monsoons, has your experience

changed what you actually value in a vehicle? Anything you wish you’d paid more attention to

before buying?

Does Iktara make anyone else feel like it's about to rain? ☔

I don't know how to explain it, but Iktara has this weird ability to make everything feel... slower.

Grey skies, cutting chai, balcony, windows open. Even if it's 35°C outside, the song somehow convinces my brain that Mumbai ki baarish bas shuru hone wali hai.

Every year, the first time I hear it, I end up opening Spotify and adding it to my Monsoon playlist. It just doesn't feel complete without it.

Now I'm curious... what are the songs that instantly give you Mumbai rains vibes?

Drop your picks below. Looking to add a few more gems to my monsoon playlist. ☔🎧

Which song has been stuck in your head all week?

Mine has been Aarzoo bya Noor ever since I found it on RADAR playlist in spotify.

Need new songs before I listen to the same thing 500 times.

What's yours?

Everyone is talking about Latent and Khamba’s new show, but are we just sleeping on Rohan Joshi’s new watchalong streams?

Is anyone else watching Rohan Joshi’s Coke Matchday Hangout streams? He's doing football watchalongs with Sakshi Shivdasani, Kaashvi Hiranandani, Dalima Chhibber, and guests. Honestly, it's super entertaining even for non-football fans. Surprised it hasn't been brought up here yet!

Good to see corporate donations going into something people will actually use.

Reliance announced the donation of 25 electric buses for Tirumala during Anant Ambani's temple visit. Public transport for pilgrims is something that benefits thousands every single day, so this feels like a meaningful contribution.

People Who Went Abroad With Average Profiles, What Was Your Actual Strategy?

my_qualifications: 7.6 CGPA, Tier 3 engineering college (CSE), currently in final year, 2 internships, no research papers, average extracurriculars.

Not Talking About Toppers Or Insane Profiles.

I Mean Like 7–8 CGPA, Tier 2/3 College, Normal Internships Type Profile.

Did You Guys Apply To A Lot Of "Safe" Universities Or Focus On Building SOP And Storytelling?

And How Did You Even Figure Out Which Colleges Would Realistically Accept You?

Because Right Now Everything Just Feels Like Guesswork.

I've been trying to shortlist universities and every site gives a different answer. I even spoke to a counselor at Leverage Edu and they helped me categorize universities into ambitious, realistic and safe choices, which honestly made the whole process feel way less overwhelming.

Still curious how people who actually got admits with average profiles planned their applications.

For investors, is early possession a bigger advantage than launch price?

Hey guys, I've been researching premium gated communities around Dwarka Expressway and Golf Course Ext. I have finalised a few like M3M Crown and Sobha City. During a recent site visit, my broker mentioned that M3M's promoter Pankaj Bansal has committed ₹14,500 crore across projects towards construction of ongoing projects to give delivery fast. Like they aren't relying on the usual messy market debt to finish the work.

It got me thinking from an investor's perspective. Is getting possession early a bigger advantage than securing a slightly lower launch price?

I've always felt that timely delivery can help capture rental demand and appreciation before an area gets saturated, but I'd love to hear from experienced investors. How much weight do you give to execution speed when evaluating returns?

Guys, is this true? Can we actually join Rohan Joshi’s live stream?

Just came across this somewhere and I’m confused… Are they actually letting fans join these football watch-along streams with creators like Rohan Joshi and others?

Haven’t seen this before, so not sure what the scene is.

Please suggest good cafes around FC Road where you can actually sit and work for a few hours?

I need some genuine cafe recommendations because me and my friends got indirectly kicked out of one yesterday.

We were at Third Wave Coffee and they usually allow people to sit and work there, that's why we were sitting there for almost 2 hours working on a startup pitch deck for a college thing. We had laptops out, notebooks everywhere, fully locked in for once. I even had my earphones in listening to that spotify Unlock your startup dreams playlist because there’s some genuinely useful startup/pitch deck podcast episodes in it. Funniest part is right when the speaker was talking about garbage pitch decks, we realized ours was absolute trash so we were redoing it. And then the manager came over and said “sir waiting customers hai” line and we had to pack up midway.

So yeah now I need places around FC Road or Deccan where people can sit with laptops for 3-4 hours without any interruptions.

My typical Indian parents finally validated my startup job, I'm most happy person now😭❤️

For the last 2 years my parents have been completely clueless about my job. Since it’s a small startup, every family function is just an interrogation round. "But what exactly is your work?" "Company stable hai na?" "Ek baar government exam de do anyway" 😭 Like to them, startup work just sounds like being unemployed but with extra steps. For our parents a real career has to be visible... like bank job, doctor, engineer.

But last week a local newspaper published an article about our startup and suddenly their whole perspective shifted. My mom literally forwarded the link to like 5 different family groups on whatsapp with some long caption like I won a Nobel prize or something lol. Even my dad came to my room yesterday to ask about what we do, where does funding come from, etc completely out of nowhere.

I was just travelling back home yesterday listening to some startup podcast on Spotify (I think it was on that unlock your startup dreams playlist, random find) and the guy was talking about how in India, parents emotionally need external validation before accepting unconventional jobs. That hit way too close to me. They don't trust your process until society puts a stamp on it. It’s honestly a huge personal win for me because they finally stopped stressing and are actually proud of what I do.

Almost had a ‘how I met your dad’ moment today lol

So I was sitting alone at this tiny cafe yesterday scrolling reels and drinking coffee alone, the place was dead quiet until this really beautiful indie song started playing on the speakers. Just soft guitar and this raw voice that literally made me stop scrolling midway.

There was this really cute guy sitting at the next table and at the exact same moment I looked up at the speaker, he looked up too. We made eye contact for like two seconds and he smiled and went “this song is so good, right?”. My brain literally stop functioning and I almost choked on my coffee before managing to say yes and asking if he knew the artist.

He laughed and said he didn’t know either because he’d just asked the barista to play one of spotify RADAR playlist. Then he pulled out his phone to show me the playlist so I could save it. we ended up talking about random music and artists for like ten minutes and he was genuinely so easy to talk to?? like calm pretty-boy energy 😭

Then his friend showed up and they left a few minutes later but now I'm at home listening to all these songs and thinking about him.

Destination Indian weddings are basically high-stakes fashion shows now

Just got back from my cousin’s destination wedding, and I genuinely didn’t expect the outfit pressure to be this intense. Every event had a completely different aesthetic, and half my stress was figuring out how to pack for four separate functions without going broke or over the baggage limit.

I ended up taking these two lightweight outfits from House of Indya. Honestly, trying to fit traditional wear into a suitcase without ruining it is a challenge in itself, so having pieces that were easy to pack and actually survived the east coast weather was a lifesaver.

I finally get why people start planning these looks months in advance!

Indian weddings in Canada are lowkey becoming fashion competitions

We moved to Canada years ago and I genuinely didn’t expect the Indian wedding scene here to feel this elaborate.

Every event now has a different aesthetic, professional photographers, coordinated decor, custom dance performances… people are genuinely showing up.

I had my cousin’s wedding last weekend and realized half my stress wasn’t even about attending. It was figuring out outfits for four separate functions without spending designer-level money on clothes I’ll realistically wear maybe twice.

After way too much scrolling and comparing options, I ended up ordering two outfits from house of indya, a lehenga and a suit. I was honestly more nervous about whether they’d arrive in time than anything else.

The outfits took around 18 days to reach me, which felt longer than expected when there’s a wedding countdown in your head . Once they arrived though I was relieved that they worked out for the events I had planned.

I finally understand why everyone here starts planning wedding outfits ridiculously early because one invitation somehow turns into coordinating looks for four events, weather changes, heels you can survive in, and whether your outfit will photograph well under lighting.
