So i tried posting on this account before as well but nothing worked. I used to post a single low effort reel, no growth, delete it. That happened three times. But then i took two days (about 12 hours combined) to brainstorm, plan, record and edit this reel. Ngl I am very impressed by the work that i did on this reel. The editing (music, caption, pacing) is something that just popped in my head immediately as i sat down to edit this video. Then I finally posted the reel and to my shock, I got my very first Like and the same person followed me as well, just after 35 minutes of posting that reel. LIKE IS THIS REALL??😭😭❤️
Then i checked their profile and the account seems genuine cause she is a college student i guess and has like 550+ followers. It means that Instagram may recognize that my reel and account is worthy to be pushed more. (this is just a theory i have)
Anyways i am so grateful for this and i will be glad if you guys let me know what you think about this and what should i do next.
I don't know on which specific subreddit did i see this post but someone made a post that the outlets in the town are weird. And they posted it as if they discovered something?? like a detail no one noticed?? but the show made it pretty clear that the outlets don't let you plug anything cause they are oddly designed and the plugs of the existing electronics are weird too. Its just the terminals of the lamps where the bulbs are inserted that can actually be used to get electricity.
Disclaimer: This is not from my personal experience with my parents. I actually noticed this behavior in a friend i used to have. He was just so loud and impulsive that i had to choose my words carefully around him or he might make a scene and let the whole class know. Then when i thought about it, i realized that this is a very common behavior in a lot of parents. I then understood why some children don't share much with their parents.
I feel like if your parents are the kinda people with really loud reactions, the ones who never be chill, always loud and screaming, like not even in an aggressive way but are just loud by nature, it becomes hard to express.
If you can't relate to what im about to say next then this is not for you.
So imagine you just told them about low grades or you got punched in the face by somebody or you injured yourself (basically 'bad' news) and your parents are like 'HOW DID IT HAPPEN? WHAT DID YOU DO? WHAT WERE YOU DOING THERE??!" and even after you explained everything and its clearly not your fault and they are still like "I TOLD YOU NOT TO DO THAT! I TOLD YOU TO NOT GO THERE! WHY DONT YOU LISTEN"
Now in this scenario, your parents are worried for you cause they care about you. But since it did not need a reaction that big, and their emotions are all over the place, now its YOUR duty to calm them down, deescalate the situation, and basically be a parent.
And lets say your parents have ZERO situational awareness, and they behave the same in PUBLIC as well. Then its just a nightmare to tell them anything when there's people around.
As you grow up, you realize that every time you tell them something even barely concerning, they are going to over react and YOU will have to be the one to calm them down and explain how its not a big deal and things would be okay and that its not your fault. So you come to the conclusion that its better to keep things to yourself instead of sharing cause you are not going to feel relief but just more anxious and annoyed than you already were.
I feel like this is a pretty good reason to explain why you bottle up your feelings even with your friends and partner. Can you guys share your thoughts on this?
