Are multi-region players legal? If so why don't the big manufacturers make their players such?
Would it destroy their business relationships with all those who produce/distribute films and TV shows?
Otherwise if it's not unlawful what is stopping say Panasonic from making their players multiregion to win customers over from competitors? Competition should lead to this.
I go on Amazon and it appears there are no region-free blu-ray players and only one such DVD player, as if it's a very niche thing with very little demand, the latter being all I needed and was thankfully cheap, small, and very lightweight, but I hope it will last as long as my region 1 DVDs I got it for and that it isn't some shady product.
