Had this video pop up and decided to have a gander, this clip came up during the video and I'm trying to find the original

Does anyone know what it is? The clip has a guy saying 'I only get three hours of sunlight a day' and walks his dog in the darkness

Not sure if anyone else tried it

But I just stumbled upon Not This Time by Toby Ash, and had the most smoothest transition from that towards If You Wanna Stay by Norma Sheffield, and it is one of the best things I've ever listened to. Trust me

CMV: The majority of redditors on this platform are miserable and a collective hive mind, only out for being a prick for no reason at all. This goes for some moderators as well

I have no clue if anyone will agree, or if this gets taken down for some obscure reason like with most subreddits I've seen, but I hope there is someone here who's online enough to agree with me to some extent. Matter of fact, its likely common knowledge, but this common knowledge wasn't really evident to me up until recently.

On reddit, when you make a comment, one of three things can happen: people agree with you and like it, your comment gets swept under the rug, or you piss off one individual which inadvertently leads to a chain reaction. If you need a clue, nine times out of ten its usually not the first two options.

Redditors being absurdly miserable and toxic is more than not a common fact, so my post might be removed. That's another view I'd like changed by someone on here: that moderators are also miserable as well. I was on the subreddit for making complaints a week ago, and made a post complaining about one of my other posts being removed, a week later, because dear moderator of that sub doesn't condone the 'hive mind generalisation'. It is a subreddit for making *complaints*, and my post got removed for that exact reason. I was a little annoyed about that, and may have toed a couple lines by making a follow-up post complaining about that removal, but even after that I soon got silenced and received the ban hammer. Because the moderator of the complaints subreddit didn't happen to like my complaint, which broke no rules of that sub.

Matter of fact, that is another nuance I have, is that you have some subreddits which are far too strict with their rules. 'No memes allowed', 'no posts complaining about reddit on the complaints subreddit', 'no whining about moderators or we'll ban you just because', it honestly gets to a point where it becomes too restrictive, and surprisingly, makes reddit more miserable to use as you're constantly walking on eggshells around people experiencing a power trip.

I could go on to continue waffling about how bad of a place reddit is, and make this post longer, but I doubt anyone would read through it and make a comment here. But I just hate the fact you can be genuinely curious about something, make a post, and have the swarm hound you for it rather than thinking 'understandable, have a great day'. They could just leave it be, but instead they take pleasure in being worse than a troll, and are just instead a condescending, insulting swine out to make your day just a little more shite.

I'm tempted in setting up a business mail for photography, what should I know first before committing?

This was a topic I was chatting with a friend about earlier, as they're part of a band which needed a photographer and said 'why not hire my friend instead, as he needs a job anyway?'. Brilliant stuff, cost was agreed as I'm only just getting back into photography as they were the ones who said about paying for it so they can establish socials to promote their band.

During that discussion, however, he mentioned about setting up my own profile to promote myself so that I can potentially be hired by others for photos. But the thing is, I'd rather have my personal email kept as such, and create a business email for others to contact me by. I've been sat on the fence for this for quite a while, and might actually get myself back into photography, starting with volunteer work while I sort out my business mail. Which is why I'm here, as I'm not sure on where to start. Or is it too soon for me to think of such things?

If further knowledge helps, I'm from the UK, got an A grade for photography in my GCSEs and will be starting ny second year of BTEC media this year.

Well this is getting a little out of hang

Calls me a fool when he's acting like the average reddit mod. How do I drop a report on him exactly?

More stuff on r/complaints

Is this harassment? All i was doing was complaining, which is what the subreddit was created for.

u/Apprehensive-Comb234 — 7 days ago

Motherfucker

Tried calling out the mods of r/complaints for their power trip episode and there's this bullshite mod approval because 'ooh, spam bots oh no my precious subreddit 😰😰'

Annoying feature about Pinterest

Usually the only issue i have with pinterest is the oversexualised and suggestive ads, absolutely horrendous shouldn't even be on there especially with how ruthless they are with removing innocent posts or ones that are less in your face than the adverts on there. Fucking hate them

But one of the other things that ticks me off is the privatisation of your account. Perfectly fine, protects your profile and hides it from others except the only thing you'll be hiding are your created and saved pins and even then you can just private those specific boards and still keep your profile open. Which I especially find annoying when people do the opposite as they'd respond to a comment i made, i'd try reply back but oh wait I can't as 'you can't respond to this user' or whatever it is the app says.

I only got the app initially as my ex used it to chat on and from there I mostly stuck around because I enjoyed the concept of it. Except now its been enshittified. Brilliant.

Question about the last few updates of Gamehub

So another patch, another attempt of fixing my components, and as is the usual I still can't and am still confused on how to do so. It felt initially hopeless as I was on the verge of giving up entirely, but I had a bit of a theory after checking the recommended components for one of my games (of which being Celeste for example).

For suggested components, it only really says to use mono, so I assumed that each of your games has a baked-in redist component when ran through gamehub unless that's also fucked, I've yet to check. But it got me thinking while I was looking at my broken cjfonts and gecko components: is each update intentionally breaking any of my installed components that aren't required to run a certain game? Or am I just going insane?

Fucking hate this website, the moderators with their shopping list of rules and the patronising as all shit wankers on here, but there aren't much other alternatives with a large user count

Anyone else think this?

My left knee feels ticklish when pressure is applied?

I'm not sure if its compressed nerves or some other underlying medical issue, but whenever my cat sits on my lap and has her paws dig into my left knee or anywhere on my left leg above the knee, I always get this really ticklish sensation. This is only my left leg mind, no other limb has this issue.

Does anyone else have something similar, or know what it might be?

Really need help with Gamehub

Ever since update 6.0 none of my components worked or I couldn't install them to any new downloads, 8 patches later and I still have the issue where even with the option to fix my components it would always say 'failed to reinstall component' every single time.

I'm at a loose end, I feel like tearing my hair out as i've been spending the last two months trying to find fixes while trying myself, and i'm honestly getting desperate and don't want to risk losing all my saves from my library moving it to a different emulator.

Please help me.

Is it just me or does everyone only respond to praise on this subreddit?

Like all the posts asking for help with bugs (mine included) just get swept under the rug while you have posts that are "wow, Pragmata runs so well on my Thor Ultra!!" where everyone flocks over to parrot what the title says

That or I just seem really impatient, which is kind of the opposite case as I've been personally trying and failing for the last couple months to find a fix for my issue

"Failed to reinstall components"

I've been waiting ages for the latest patch hoping for a fix, even sent an email to gamehub hoping for a resolution to the component fuss I've been dealing with but all I get now is acknowledgement that any components failed to install since the latest update.

What should I do to fix this?

Trying to find a YouTube video

I don't have an image of the video I'm after, but it was a while back and was a satirical animation on how most corporations are forcing AI on their users with the latest 'product' (as referred to in the video)

But I have no clue what it was called and have tried typing 'companies forcing AI into everything' but haven't had what I was looking for pop up, so I was just wondering if anyone knows what I'm on about

Asking Wales as someone who's also from Wales, is there a point to Welsh baccalaureate aside from being a filler course?

I'm asking this as i'm currently doing courses with coleg gwent where welsh bacc is mandatory for those taking BTEC, and so far I struggle to see the use for it aside from something to deck out your cv with and to get you into university, and I personally aren't planning on going to uni.

So I was wondering, has anyone actually benefited from it or is it just an absolute wastraff amser?

What is it with Prime including the second film (or second part) of a series for free, but never the first?

So far I've noticed this thrice by now: first with Scream 2 being free, but not the first one with the rest either also needing to be paid for or not featured on Prime, then The Mockingjay part 2 being free and not part 1, and now they're advertising Dune 2 for free, but you still have to buy the first modern Dune.

Why do they do this? Is it a marketing strategy, to milk more cash from its consumers? Do they assume you've seen part 1 already? Or am I wrong in both assumptions, as it is quite annoying having the first film gatekept with the second one being a free watch.
