The expectations of these women to have ready made adult men who want jobs and a wedding The day these men come out of prison is delusional. Some of these guys are 23 with no real jobs ever. Some are 35 with no real relationships ever and have lived with their moms since birth. Why are these women delusional ?

From me as a person who lived in Iowa in the 90s : the whole society is several kinds of toxic mess. Mostly eating and drinking contaminated food and water. but significantly clinging to white patriarchy that says white farmers who have no education other than being farmers know best. A significant amount of violence and drug use starts at home with fathers, brothers, moms who abuse children ( my mom Iowan born baby boomer was this victim). The culture is toxic.

My mom was literally so clean she would come after me as I was drinking a drink and take it and throw it away , half full. She likes to scrub the kitchen floor on her hands and knees ( i don't ). She would also clean just seething with anger that I was never so enthused about mopping that I was not down there on the floor with her.
When I saw the " No more wire hangers " scene in Mommy Dearest , it reminded me of my mom. She was not screaming at me while cleaning though just silently cleaning with rage.
Several examples of this : Justine, Scott , Brittany was the incarcerated ; why are adults getting in the way of the children seeing their parents and re-establishing a relationship with them first ? like give it a few days or a week before they swoop in to rescue . Stan could have just let the Blonde lady in the wig parent for a while and see how that goes.

I want to know, HOW IN THE WORLD AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIVE SHE IS FAT?? All I hear is her saying how fat she is, the other characters saying she is fat... this woman is not fat. They picked the wrong actress for this roll to make me believe she is fat... My personal opinion is Melissa McCarthy from the Mike and Molly days would have worked better. It bugs me how they will have her interact with other "fat" women in the show and they are undeniably larger than her and it is jarring in that context.
I have lost 60 pounds and am considered "skinny" by social standards and I wish I could have a figure like Katy Mixon. 😭
