A while back, I was at a restaurant when an intoxicated person showed up. They first started bothering me, and then the restaurant staff had to call the police. I watched the officers try to help the person. After that, the police began searching the person’s bag for alcohol. Isn’t that considered an illegal search, or did the police have probable cause based on the person’s behavior?
