I want to start fishing and eating them. What gear should I get?

I live in argentina. I’ve never liked fishing, but I love eating fish. I feel like it’s a skill I really need to develop, which is why I wanted to write this post.

There’s a lagoon in my town where you can find silverside, catfish, and carp. I go there on weekends, and since my only gear is a bamboo pole and a line with a bobber and hook, I was wondering what I’d need to fish one big enough for eating lmao. I don’t know anything about fishing; the only time I ever fished was when I was a kid. I recently got a fiberglass rod, but I have absolutely nothing else besides that.

I was wondering what fishing method I should use, what would be recommended in my case, and if instead of bread or flour-based baits I could use something made with cornstarch (I have celiac disease, and if I eat even a crumb, I’ll totally wreck my system, hahaha).

Also, is this different from a lagoon than fishing on a Beach? Id like to do that one day too, but im not sure if im able to do that yet.

When does Wheel hardness difference begin to be noticeable?

Im using a 65mm 83A longboard wheels that i rotate from my longboard to my cruiser (which is my skateboard old deck).

Im thinking about buying a 63mm 80A local wheels that has rounded shape to still do some old school and freestyle tricks and being able to Cruise in the very rough terrain I have in my city (which is the worst ever lol). This wheel is almost transparent: looks like silicone almost lol.

I found also a 65mm longboard wheel which has 78A hardness: this wheel is from a local brand too but its Aimed for a longboard than a cruiser: the wheels are wider and doesnt have the shape I look. But instead it has the 78A hardness that all People recommend me to skate.

Is 78A and 80A different? Is 83A to 80A a noticeable gap? What about 83A to 78A?

Also I got another weird question, what about shaping the wheel? Can I reshape a skate wheel with a sandpaper? I know this sounds like im trolling but I Wonder if its possible lol.

How to push with a heavy and spacey backpack

Im going to be skating with a 70 liter trekking backpack which is kinda heavy cause its going to carry a tent and some gear.

I was wondering if there is a way to push without worrying about the bag (im going to use a longboard 8cm high from ground so Ill have to bend a lot my knee.

Will it work if I place the backpack behind my front foot on the board like one of these positions? (Lying flat and tying it to the board or placed up tied to the leg?

First time buying camping gear. Question about backpacks, tents, hammocks...

Im going to camp on a forest close to the Beach on summer. Ive never bought gear cause my dad gives me always his stuff when im with him, but now Ill be with my friends so I need some stuff lmao.

I will go only with a backpack, im not sure which backpack capacity should I get cause Ill be there for a week (im thinking about 65 liters aprox). Inside I will place all my clothes (just 3 of each thing except only one pair of shoes, polar and a jacket) and the equipment Ill use (cooking stuff, etc.)

The problem is that I want to travel as light as possible but I didnt figured out about where to sleep! Should I get a hammock, a small tent... what??

The climate im going to be is warm at day and cold at night with moderate Wind (from 16°C to 34°C) so im wondering if sleeping on a hammock with all my clothes on is a great idea or should I just get a sleeping bag and sleep on the floor... im not sure at the moment thats why im asking lol.

Im running on a low budget too cause I want to get all the essencials I need for camping. And also need a good backpack for this lmao. I already have a sleeping bag which could work, but im not sure what to do yet.

How to make diy tailguards or tail skids

I like to do freestyle and street tricks, but in my country I cant find the tailguards.

My skate is starting to get razor tail from the freestyle tricks so I was wondering what could I use to make tailguards. I found a video where a guy used a small cutting table but I cant find any on the streets so... what could I do?

How to replace griptape if its partially used?

So im new lol, but was wondering if I should replace griptape by parts cause there are parts that doesnt have any griptape anymore (nose and tail) but there are parts of my deck that still have grip (like the mid of the skate).

Also, mob griptape now is worth a lot of money on my country (idk why but it skyrocketed): should I buy a skate grip online on aliexpress or places like that or should I change brand? I like mob but now I dont know if I should change brand cause now its getting really expensive

What pickups and bridge should I choose? 25.5 scale length from drop A to drop F#

Im going to make an ST body style guitar with a pretty thick custom set of strings (being a 70 the thickest one, and 13 the thinnest lol). This guitar is going to be tuned in different ways, being the highest tuning drop A and the lowest tuning drop F# (Im going to also use drop G# and drop G and the standard tuning as well, so its all in between B standard and G# standard kinda).

I want to play metalcore stuff in general with this guitar, and im conscient that I should grab a 27 scale or 26.5 but I dont have any guitar neck available to ship into my country: im very limited lol.

-Pickups stuff first: knowing that im using thickest strings possible and that its going to be a little loose on G#, I would like to have a raspy sound: something that I could do swedish tones, chugs, but also maintain clarity and a nice tone for the clean sounds. Should I go for a P90 or a humbucker style pickup? Hot pickup or something more dynamic/vintage? Id like it to be passive if possible, but if passive pickups arent useful for my plan I dont mind buying an active pickup.

-bridge stuff; ive used a vintage strat from a friend of mine with a vibrato bridge: lowered the tuning to drop B, the strings were flobby and it sounded normal. Yesterday ive went to my friends house, grabbed his ibanez hardtail strat and tuned it at drop B as well: the 6th string "oscillated" when I hitted hard.

I dont know if this is something because of the style of bridge or my force or whatever the hell it happened, but it oscillated and sounded weird. Im surprised about this and im doubting if I should make my build with a vintage tremolo with a lot of Springs on the back if it prevents from happening. Im not sure if my friends have different string gauges; both felt like 10s so I guess they where using the same.

What should I do then?

27 inch baritone. power chords? Adapt tabs of 7 strings songs?

Im between buying a 7 string 27 scale neck vs a 6 string 27 scale neck (same scale, but one is 7 string).

How hard is it to adapt songs from a 7 string tab to a baritone guitar if it uses the high E string on high frets (I know the maximum note I can reach on a baritone is the 19th fret of the high E string of the 7 string)? Am I cooked for a lot of songs with lead stuff on a baritone?

What about quick power chord changes on the first frets? Are they much different than a 25.5 scale? is it Just a small difference? I use as my first guitar a 24.75 scale guitar so im worried that I might be cooked lol

25.5 vs 27 scale length. Questions about tension and tuning ranges

Id like to make a guitar build of my own 7 string as a "partscaster".

Sadly, the only scale lengths I can choose right now is 25.5 or 27 inch necks. The 27 inch necks are doble the expensive so I dont know if its worth it.

Id like to play things like crowbar, some loathe songs, polaris and korn. The main problem im having right now is that id like to handle drop F# at maximum (just on very rare ocassions), so im kinda worried that the 25.5 scale length is useless at this point. Also id like to play some drop A stuff, so im worried that I cant find a hybrid string gauge for the 25.5 or (in case of choosing the 27) the thinnest strings be way too tight for playing on drop A.

In case of choosing the 25.5, ¿is there a hybrid setup like the 6 strings 10-52 from ernieball with a low B for 7 string? Would that work?

I know that im trying to "cover" a huge range of 3 halfsteps on the EADBGE strings and covering 6 on the low B while also complaining about string tightness: but I cant afford to get two guitars in different tunings for now. Maybe in the future, but not now

Can I bolt on this style of neck joint if I do this mod?

I want to make a guitar with this type of neck to have better access to higher frets.

I didnt want to make it a set neck because it would make it difficult to repair if broken (im gonna use this guitar project for traveling).

I was wondering if placing and glueing a block of wood over the small piece of wood thats coming out (the one thats supposed to go under the neck pickup on the right part of the image) so i could use normal screws to join the neck at the body.

Im going to make a one pickup (humbucker at the bridge) style guitar so that free space for the neck pickup on the neck is useless for me.

Preamp pedal or EQ, what should I get for tone shaping on a champ style amp?

So, im using a laney cub 8 (a 2 knob amp, tone and volume, no gain) with dirt pedals. I want more versatility: I want to be able to scoop or boost some lows, highs, mids to get more versatility.

This amp is great, has awesome sound without even plugging a pedal and its pretty cool, but its so limited in shaping my sound when im using my gain pedals (which only has tone volume and gain control only)

Ive seen some joyo preamps for the same price as a cheap 10 band eq (sonicake tone group) and i dont know what to buy: this little amp only works with pedals in FRONT OF THE AMP, so I dont know which one would work better for me.

I cant test these two pedals because I have to order them online, the only thing ive tested close to a preamp was a metalzone and I managed to do an awesome chugging guitar tone, leads, death metal stuff, doom, classic rock stuff, etc.

My chain would be like this: amp<-reverb<-tonebender clone<-proco rat clone<- les paul copy

Honestly im doing something wrong which I dont know really what is the thing. If there is a tutorial id love to watch it or if someone could help me describing how to do it it will be great, thanks!

Best module for making a guitar power amp?

Im gonna make a 50 watt power amp to connect to a 8 ohm speaker cab. Ive talked with some people and many told me to build one based on a module, I have transistorized and digital options available for making the amp. What should I choose? I have class D options and A/AB,

I do care more about sound quality than weight and stuff like that, im willing to spend less than 60usd total so I guess it limits the things a little bit more, thats why id like to make the best power amp possible with that money lol

can I make a tube power amp without a preamp for my electric guitar? Can I buy a "module" already made?

I wanted to make Just the power amp stage for sending the signal of my guitar through external preamps (which is why id like to make or get ONLY the power amp section). Id like to have only the power amp section so it runs as clean as possible.

I need a 50watt rms power for an 8 ohm 12 inch speaker. Im kinda new to soldering and electronics projects, so id like to buy a "module" or a board if possible: if its not possible, i wouldnt mind making it as long as i could find an easy circuit (its one of my firsts soldering projects so...)

Any ideas? Ive seen class D modules on sale and im considering getting one if the tube is not possible, but id rather ask here because I have no idea how difficult this is lol

Celestion G12t-75 VS Celestion Rocket 50 VS Celestion Seventy 80

Im looking to build a 2x12 guitar cab and im Just wondering if anyone has bought one of these three speakers to know how good are they. I couldnt find much details on Internet about these speakers so Id like to ask how good are they and their tonal aspects.

I want a 2x12 to play metal music (doom, death metal, etc.) With downtuned guitars (Drop A is my lowest, though I usually play on drop B or C)

How can i make a 50 watt power amp for my guitar? Can I use a tda module? What models?

Id like to make a power amp that only works for giving power to my cab without "coloring" too much the signal (something that runs as clean and transparent as possible) so I can use preamps externally (ill use preamp pedals to emulate some guitar heads) to change the tone, add distortion and stuff like that.

Id like to make something as powerful as 50watt so I can use it instead of buying a guitar amp of that power. Im gonna be using a 8 ohm cabinet with 12 inch speakers at maximum

Ive asked on some forums and people told me to make one using a class D amp module: what module should I get? Where do I place a volume knob and what value should the knob be? Im considering buying a 3118 of 60watts, but I dont know how will I be able to limit the amp to 50w because I couldnt find a 50wat module on my store nearby but I can order one online, so thats why Im asking what module should I get
