Sunblock help needed

I hate using gels, creams, lotions etc. I find the sensation on my skin unpleasant, and I resent the time it takes to do and then to hang around waiting for it to absorb before I can touch anything.

With sunblock, I'm also a fairly greasy and sweaty person so it invariably gets in my eyes at some point.

This is to say, I really need some advice on a lightweight, easily absorbed sunblock.

I'm in the UK and on a fairly tight budget. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, and I have no allergies to consider.

Twelve Golden Hairpins / Twelve Beauties of Jinling leporello / accordion book - any info appreciated

I found this in a charity shop, someone at r/translator helped provide the title - I'm interested in any additional info. It looks hand painted? Or is it a combination of woodblock outlines and hand painted?

Is it tourist ware or made for the home market?

Print Gocco screen cleaning advice

I have an old Print Gocco machine I'd like to use at some point, but I've read in some instructions that some cleaning fluids can damage the screen, and to use their "OK Cleaner."

Has anyone used other things to clean the screens when using oil-based ink? I'm in the UK, and would usually go for Zest-It before simple dish soap & water but I don't want to risk melting the screen!

Self-employed AtW update - nearly sorted!

Self employment Access to Work update

Just for anyone looking for current timescales.

New ergonomic chair (Hag Capisco with saddle-type seat) delivered yesterday. Put reimbursement request in through online form.

AtW decision on supplying the chair was:

"Whilst ergonomic seating would normally be considered a reasonable adjustment and therefore the responsibility of an employer, the recommended chair includes specialist features that are required to meet your disability-related needs. I have also taken into account your circumstances as a self-employed sole trader with limited business income. The chair has therefore been approved as it will help you carry out your day-to-day work activities more comfortably and sustainably."

I was fully expecting to contribute the basic cost of a regular office chair, but that wasn't required.

Full timeline:
September 2024 - made application to AtW

May 2026 - had call to confirm email communication as access requirement.

June 2026 - had email from Case Manager to clarify my self employment details, whether I earn enough, what my working pattern is etc.

July 2026 - meeting with AtW assessor from external AtW assessment company.

484 at Camberwell - why so wobbly at start of route?

This 484 was due in 6 minutes, 15 minutes ago. It's now been fluctuating between "due" and "45 seconds for the last 8ish minutes. This isn't uncommon at Camberwell - how come? It's the start of the route, if one hasn't actually started its journey, why show it on the app?

Ios app keeps jumping back to home page

The app has been basically unusable for the last few days for anything beyond racking up the Microsoft points. If I use it to read articles or browse websites it keeps switching me back to the home page, and the page I was reading isn't always retained.

Can anyone help identify this piece of scientific glassware please?

A local flea market had a few crates of different pieces of scientific glassware. I was most intrigued by this tiny flask suspended within a cylinder. It has three indentations in the base, I'm assuming to be supported over a flame?

I bought it out of curiosity, so it won't be used for anything particularly practical (maybe a tiny bud vase, if anything)

Any information would be appreciated!

Skin around base of nails peels & frays. Advice appreciated

I've had this happen since early childhood. I bite my nails, but I managed to stop for a while and the peeling still happened. Occasionally it gets more red, swollen and sore, but usually it's just like this.

I don't use anything specific on my nails, I use Weleda Skin Food to help with splits that sometimes occur in the tips of my thumbs. I get occasional mild dishydrotic eczema.

Ravensburger 960pc 3D globe complete!

Charity shop find - it was complete!

Started by putting the countries together, but the globe shape meant I couldn't then link big chunks up, I had to break it back down into smaller pieces. Once I had those done, I worked by the numbers on the reverse to get the seas done and then do the final assembly. The last pieces were incredibly fiddly, I couldn't put enough pressure on to click them into place fully, but they're in enough to stay in place.

Vintage 750ish piece Victory puzzle of the map of Europe. Irresistible charity shop find!

Going by the "A subsidiary of JW Spear & Sons" this must be from the 1970s?

Switched to Formotorol / beclomethasone DPI inhaler - getting the jitters!

I've gone over to the combined Fostair Nexthaler from separate beclomethasone / salbutamol MDI inhalers. I think the formotorol is giving me the jitters - does this wear off when I've been using it a while?
