I'm a 40+ year King reader, I finally am tackling The Talisman. I'm 90% done, and have not really enjoyed it that much. Is Black House worth reading?
Obligatory Title Says it All. Been reading King since 1984, at 14 years old. I've read just about all of his works, except the Straub stuff, and his more recent crime novels. I am finally reading The Talisman (after 2 start/stops over 30-40 years)) and have not really enjoyed it that much, despite liking similar novels like Fairy Tale and the Dark tower books.
Is Black House worth a read? Talisman has become a bit of a slog, to be honest.

Just finished watching Glen Matlocks 'I was a Teenage Sex Pistol'. As a lifelong Sex Pistols fan, this (along with the miniseries 'Pistol') gives the best history of the band in it's very early years.

My 30 y.o. shipmate & I are testing all phones on my ship. He radioed me, said there was a 'really old crank-style phone' in Steering Gear he didn't know how to operate. He asked my advice, so I told him to text me a picture/video of the phone. Behold, the Antique Phone he was unable to operate.

Marjane Satrapi died about 6 weeks ago. At 10, She fled Iran in 1980 as the Islamists came to power, spent her teen years in Europe, & returned to Iran in 1988 @ 18 years old. She's the author of the Graphic Novel Persepolis. She was as Punk as you can be, and risked her life to be so. RIP Marjane.
