Six Flags opened a haircut business in 2009...

It was in CT and PA (states without Six Flags parks.) I'm unable to find if they had Looney Tunes and DC; the site via the Web Archive does have the Looney Tunes copyright at the bottom. At least there's Wags :3

Orkin Pro's disturbing new ad

I'm in a motel in Connecticut and during the hockey game my mom is watching, there was an absolutely hellish commercial for Orkin Pro.

IT FEATURED CREEPY COCKROACHES AS ALCHOLICS. WHAT IN THE JOE'S APARTMENT RIPOFF POSSESSED THEM TO MAKE THIS AD?!?!?! (And Joe's Apartment was already cringey.)

I hope the Tetris Blast cockroach cripples them with his Mega Bombs. Just saying.

[Six Flags New England] Trip Report: Good as always (5/16/26)

I finally went to SFNE today. I had trouble sleeping the night before again, and I had that weird "sleeping with my eyes open" thing again. But I came out well-rested and watched Looney Tunes on Tubi and Six Flags commercials on YT to pass the time.

I dressed as Supergirl again. I have a Superman crop top now that looks more like Supergirl's, but it's 80 degrees. So I got my short-sleeved shirt on. I also took my brand-new Tyco Marvin the Martian stuffy and my Six Flags DCAU Superman stuffy.

We left for the park round 8:30 AM. I watched a bit of Superman IV: The Quest for Peace on HBO Max to pass the time. We got there at 10:35 AM.

Of course, I booked it to my favourite ride.

Superman: The Ride (2x) - I got the first ride of the day on it. I did the flying pose when the Superman theme picks up on the lift hill, and yelled, "SUPERMAN!!" on the drop. This was followed by the Superman intro narration and the Superman TAS theme. On the brake run, I was like, "WE DEFEATED BIZARRO!" The second ride was at the end of the day. I sat in the fifth car, front seat. On the drop this time, I yelled, "FOR KRYPTON!!" This ride was even better, and it made my shirt roll up from the airtime. Did the same thing on the brake run.

Cyborg Hyper Drive (1x) - Talked with a few folks about DC. I think we were the first ride of the day. On the ride, I did "Come On Baby, Give Me Life." When Grid was purged, I went "RIP." The ride is pretty intense, but I can handle it, unlike that OTHER spinning ride (lookin' at you Harley Quinn.) The gift shop sells this cool Cyborg shirt, but I didn't get it.

Supergirl Sky Flyer (1x) - I can't reach or get off the seat by myself. Thankfully, the ride op helped me. I can handle it, but I closed my eyes for some of the spins. Also, I was doing the Art Show cold open from SGC2C again. (Why is THAT my routine for this ride?? I did it once in 2022 and it somehow became my routine.)

Then we went to Gotham City.

Batman: The Dark Knight (1x) - The line for this ride gets me exhausted. Slight headbanging, but not that bad. Love the airtime on the cobra roll. I didn't go down the elevator this time, sorry guys.

We went to Main Street to see the Looney Tunes Block Party. Bugs and Foghorn were dancing. I mainly watched from the gazebo steps. It's a different show than last year's; they do VIC's Wobble now. After the show, I got pictures with Bugs and Foghorn.

We had lunch after that. We went back to Gotham City to see if we could get a meatball sub at Carlini's, but they haven't had it in 2 years. RIP. So we got a slice of pepperoni pizza with a Coke.

Then we saw Tweety, Coyote, Daffy, and Sylvester. I asked Tweety if he remembered when he became a monster and chased Sylvester; I asked Coyote if he caught the Road Runner (he hasn't, yet); I asked Daffy if he remembered when he drank that liquor with Porky and sang Mary Had A Little Lamb (I was watching that one this morning); and I asked Sylvester how Granny was doing. I also saw The Riddler. I have no idea how WB allowed him (they have to approve of the actors playing DC characters.) But he was there, and he told me that The Joker was appearing tomorrow too.

We went over to Pandemonium, but it had a long line.

Blizzard River (1x) - My mom rode with me. We got wet. I was yelling "OH, NO" thru out the ride and "WATER'S UP, DOC?" every time I got wet (god bless the old SFGAdv Web site for that one.) We rode with this family who were DC fans. They were awesome to talk to.

Wicked Cyclone (1x) - Talked to these kids who were kinda scared on line and told them I used to be scared of coasters. On the ride itself, I realized how much the theming was like the movie Twister; so I decided to quote Nostalgia Critic's video on that movie. I yelled, "ELEPHANT!" on the drop. The rest was just "OH MY GOD," and I even said, "I WANT MY MOMMY" (something I heard in a video my mom took of SkyWinder at SFA.) Then on the brake run "Phillip Seymour Hoffman isn't here anymore. No, he's gone."

We got a Flash Pass for the new ride.

Quantum Accelerator (1x) - Was assigned Row 6, and lemme tell you... this ride doesn't live up to the hype. Aside from the launches, it's not that fast. It's good for families, but it's one and done for me.

We went to CrackAxle Canyon afterwards.

Houdini: The Great Escape (1x) - Why am I always nauseous on this ride?? This doesn't happen on the SFGAdv version. I was talking about Scooby Doo to various folks on the ride. The rest of the ride I spent going "OH, NO." It's a good ride, but I just wanna know why I am always about to throw up on it.

Rock 'n Rodeo (1x) - This ride didn't help my state either. It goes too fast and had me going "WE'RE SO FUCKED WE'RE SO FUCKED."

After a short break, we went to Looney Tunes Movie Town.

Daffy's Hollywood Tours (1x) - Don't know why I did this. But I had fun on it. It's a gentle little Crazy Bus ride.

Then we went to Main Street to see the Block Party again. This time I got up there and danced like I have never danced before. Foghorn impersonated The Flash during charades.

After that, we went to the Dino Off Road Adventure, but it was closed, and so was Catwoman's Whip. So I had that Superman re-ride.

Then we played a game and I won a generic pink dinosaur. I chosed him because it was the closest to Dino.

We watched the Block Party with Daffy and Sylvester while eating a cherry ICEE.

Then we left.

I'm staying overnight and going back a second day. I'm gonna go to Red Robin (Tim Drake) now. Cheers!

[Other] Discowing my beloved (bonus: the Nightwing ride that formerly operated at Six Flags New England, which doesn't have Discowing)

The second image comes from Yahoo, the third one comes from DC's official shop and the fourth one comes from CanobieFan dot Com. Have no idea what the first one comes from.

Delores, my favourite one-off character

I honestly think Diablo Cody should've wrote a script about her for WB instead of the Powerpuff Girls (I liked Powerpuff and wish that it got picked up, but I can see how it sucks.)

[Cresskill Unico Carnival] Trip Report (5/7/26)

I went to the Cresskill Unico (no relation to the unicorn by Tezuka) Carnival yesterday.

Round-Up (1x) - Better restraints than the one in Teaneck. I was mostly yelling out "HERE WE COME ON THE RUN WITH A BURGER ON A BUN" and other stupid crap.

Hurricane (1x) - Rode with my eldest sibling and his friends. Thing goes fast, but not as fast as the one in Tappan that one time.

Scrambler (1x) - Rode with my sibling. Kinda fast, but not as fast as the OG Eli Bridge ones. Those WHIP you.

Paratrooper (1x) - Rode with my sibling. By far the standout of the lineup. It goes fast and gives you the stomach drop somewhat. Also, the loading is terrifying when you're at the top.

Then we left and got Burger King.

Next will be SFNE.

I passed this carnival getting set up on the ride to Popeyes a few days ago, and today, after we had dinner at Popeyes, we stopped in.

Super Shot (1x) - Very surprising coming from me, who's always done launch towers. I was expecting it to be like the Double Shot at Playland, except without the launch. But lemme tell you: that thing went HIGH UP. I was yelling "SUPERMAN I'M ATTACHED TO THE EIFFEL TOWER SHAFT HELP" and screamed when it dropped. My legs flew up to my chest. Back on the ground, I was like, "SUPERMAN THANK YOU." My legs were trembling afterwards.

Scrambler (1x) - Rode with my eldest sibling. It was going pretty fast. I was screaming about Swayzak the entire time. The restraints are a pain in the arse, though.

Pharaoh's Fury (1x) - Love this model. The stomach drop is awesome and the height is great. I screamed about Swayzak, CupcakKe lyrics, and "YIPPEE-YI-O-KI-YAY, HERE COMES QUICK DRAW MCGRAW" the entire time.

Zero Gravity (1x) - Round-Up model. It was pretty good, but the restraint was hard to get on. I was screaming about Swayzak and the Quick Draw McGraw theme again.

The Air Scramble (basically Kraang Prime Pandemonium) was playing Blackpink. That made me think of Barry Allen. The game booths had DC and Looney Tunes on them.

Then we left.

Next park is SFNE next week. We're staying overnight too.

Me and my dad went to the Palisades Center today. It's raining, and you know I've wanted to go to the mall in the rain.

We did a power walk of the entire mall like Maya and Martha have done, stopping at the food court to eat Subway and also at Barnes & Noble. (They have a Captain Underpants manga?!) Along the way, I was pointing out what everything used to be to my dad. I guess I've lost weight. I was sweaty by the end of it all.

I was also looking at the old floor. There are some labels I can't make out. I discovered Record Town's label. What's "Friday's?" Didn't TGI Friday's not open until February of 1999?? Why would it be on the opening day floor??

Also, a telephone pole fell in front of my house. FML

ETA: Looking it up on Logopedia, it WAS TGI Friday's. Which brings me to my next point: TGI Friday's was one of the mall's original twelve restaurants, even if it didn't open till '99.

  • Chili's
  • Legal Sea Foods
  • Dave & Buster's
  • Empire Buffet
  • Don Pablos
  • Macaroni Grill
  • Rainforest Café
  • Johnny Rockets
  • DiGiorno Trattoria
  • Oscar Meyer Hot Dog Construction Co
  • TGI Friday's

Was the last Sweet Memories??
