MBA Loan Survey: Looking for Real Stories, Not Internet Advice (10–15 mins, Huge Impact)

I'm an education writer and researcher who spends a lot of time analyzing MBA admissions, placements, ROI, and student financing.

One thing I've realized is that most content available online about MBA loans is based on assumptions. Very little of it captures the actual experiences and thought processes of MBA students and graduates.

That's why I'm trying to collect real-world perspectives directly from people who have taken—or are considering taking—an MBA loan.

When it comes to MBA loans, I've noticed two broad schools of thought:

1. Aggressive repayment

  • Pay significantly more than the EMI whenever possible.
  • Try to close the loan within 4–5 years.
  • Save interest and become debt-free early.

2. Extended repayment

  • Stretch the tenure to 9–10 years (or even longer).
  • Keep monthly payments manageable (30–35k/month).
  • Save cash flow for investing, buying a home, building an emergency fund, or lifestyle goals.
  • Accept paying more total interest over time.

Questions I want to learn more about:

  • Is becoming debt-free early always the smartest financial decision?
  • Should MBA graduates prioritize loan prepayment or investing?
  • How much MBA debt feels manageable once you start working?
  • What repayment strategies do successful MBA graduates actually follow?
  • Looking back, what do MBA graduates wish they had done differently?

Please fill up this google form

A 10–15 minute response from you could help lakhs of future MBA aspirants make better borrowing and financial decisions.

The goal is to gather real-world perspectives that can help future MBA applicants make more informed borrowing and repayment decisions.

Need help with US investing

I'm currently using INDmoney to invest in US stocks from India.

Are there any other platforms for investing in US markets? I'm looking for options with reasonable fees, good user experience, and reliable fund transfers.

Also, apart from the usual big names like Google, Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, and Amazon, what are some good US stocks worth researching right now? I'm particularly interested in relatively lower-priced stocks (not necessarily penny stocks) that have solid growth potential over the next 3–5 years.

Would love to hear what platforms and stocks you're personally invested into?

IIM Indore to Study 15-Year-Old IPL 2026 Sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

It's not every day that a teenager's sporting journey becomes material for management education.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's rise continues beyond the cricket field.

After a breakthrough IPL 2026 campaign that made headlines across the country, the young batter has become the focus of a new case study at IIM Indore.

What leadership lesson do you think business students can learn from him?

IIM A gives 190+ crores as salary from MBA fees... Shocking!!!!

Most MBA discussions revolve around placements, rankings, and salary packages.

I tumbled upon this article that looks at a different question: where does that money actually go?

This is NIRF data and I am shocked to know that IIM A is spending over 190 cr over faculty salaries... Like reallyyyyyyyy??? IIM B is also spending close to 130 cr but IIM C spends less.

To everyone stressing over CAT 2026

Crack the CAT, absolutely. Put in the hours. But don't kill your hobbies or stop growing as a human being in the process. Your uncommon interests might actually be the thing that saves you in your summer placement interviews.

How do you verify if a company and job offer are genuine?

Saw a story about an MBA graduate who claims she spent ₹75,000 to move to Delhi after getting a job offer from a startup. After relocating, she says the company stopped responding and the job never materialized.

For those interested, here's the article.

Sharing an Analysis of Expected MAH MBA CET 2026 Cutoffs for Top MBA Colleges guidance

I've noticed a lot of people asking whether a 90-95 percentile in MAH MBA CET 2026 is enough for colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, Welingkar, Rizvi, and others.

Since CAP counselling is approaching, I found this useful analysis that compiles previous years' closing percentiles and estimates the expected cutoffs for 2026. This might help to choose 10 MAH CET MBA colleges during the CAP process based on your percentile.

Check-out-the-MAH-CET-Cutoffs-here

Would also love to hear from seniors who got into JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, or Welingkar—what was your percentile and final allotment? What should we consider before filling the choices?
