this quail is just so damn mean, she can’t get along with ANYTHING. i had to seperate my male, and females into seperate cages because she scalped them. i’m starting to think she might be the one who needs seperated, because she’s so insanely aggressive to litteraly everything and i can’t get her to stop. i feel like she honestly just needs to be by herself, because she’s severely injured/scalped everything that’s been in the cage with her, but i know so many people down on keeping them alone which is why im posting to ask. i feel like it’s safer overall for her to be alone if she’s this aggressive to everybody, like she just hates them all. i took this picture after pulling her off one of the last uninjured flock mates head. i have no clue why or how she scalped my male either.

i have milky water. at first it was just a sheen but in the span of 5 hours it’s gone almoast completely foggy. i have no clue why, parameters are all normal. it seems to be getting worse when i turn the light off, ive done a 70% change but it only made it much worse. what’s going on? the tank is about 6-8 months old, never had issues before.

this specific ramshorn has outlived 3 fish now, i’ve had her going on SEVEN YEARS. i love her, i thought she was dead cuz i hadn’t seen her but i just did and she’s STILL kicking it. how is this even possible wtf?

no clue how, but a wild spider now lives in a fish bowl i was storing pencils in. i thought they only lived outside, but gertrude seems to love it in here and i drop feeder roaches and worms in there for her. figured i should share here, because she’s pretty cool. i woudl get her a big bio active enclosure and all that jazz, but she’s comfy in the bowl and i don’t have any spares so she can stay here. (courtesy of my guppies suddenly dropping 80 fry after a drought where i was only getting 4 per brood, i had to use my spare tanks for the babies.) she’s made an awesome home for herself in here.

i have NEVER netted this many at once, holy crap! i have 18. usually, i only collect about 2-12 every b i r t h and move them to the nursery tanks so they don’t get eaten, oh my goodness am i lucky or what?!

ok, my fav hair was when i had it dark with one super light stripe. i did it at home, but when i did it i dyed my whole head black first and then bleached the strand. i do NOT wanna put bleach over fresh box dye, it didn’t cause issues last time i just don’t wanna risk it again. back then, it was a bob but its longer now. how do i do this without getting dye on the strand i wanna bleach or bleach on the black? photo is me with the hair im talking about. also, id definitely go to a salon if i could afford it but i cannot and this is my signature fav hair, but now its all like ugly and faded and grown out and just… icky. ive dyed my hair with box dye a LOT and never had any issues tho, its always been super healthy regardless.

i have no idea how i’m gonna get rid of this one, its so insanely sweet. i’ve hatched a lot of quails, these have been the fastest eggs i’ve seen proceed to hatch in such little time between rests. i think i might keep 2, the plan i had was to hatch and sell them but ive grown attatched to my first feathered heir, and i already had plans to keep the one that hatches out of the green egg. if you haven’t been following along, which i doubt you have been i will explain. i bought these eggs at a flea market, they were sold as organic yummy chicken eggs but when i brought them home and cracked one open it was fertile so i put the rest in the incubator and welll… ive had one hatch and 4 more in the process.

i was cleaning the cage as usual, had them on my bed and 2 flushed up, june and this dude. june landed in front of the tank, but he was not so lucky. he landed litteraly right in my fish tank, thankfully it’s heated to 82 degrees so not to cold but then when i went to retrieve him he started SWIMMING. nobody told me they SWIM. cherry was on the bed like the precious princess she is, listening perfectly while the two terrors were flying and reaking havoc on my room😭 june landed in front of my other tank which houses my elderly betta and scared the crap out of him, because he’s never seen the birds.

he was born to a female blue albino, and his father was green/red cobra non albino but i think he might have some sort of mystery genes, id like to know what he best aligns with

i’m posting here because i’m so confused, and im getting message threats now. i have a 7 gallon, sponge filter, fully natural, and planted for my male baby betta.(he’s more juvenile, his fins are already really big.) i’ve gotten messages making fun of my appearance, calling me a fish abuser, threatening to dox me, and telling me to kill myself. i have 11 bettas, and im a guppy breeder. (previously bred bettas aswell, but i was spending a lot of money on imports and high quality fish and time while not making anything at all only losing, it was fun and i really loved it but it just wasn’t feasible so i switched to guppies instead since they’re semi similar and i also love keeping them and have for 7 years.) im genuienly so confused i mean, yea the tank doesn’t have a heater right now but it has a tempature thermometer which never fluctuates at all and stays at 78, i dont use heaters until it becomes fall/winter because that’s when the temps drop and tend to fluctuate, making it necessary where i live. it also has a sponge filter, does nobody have anything better to do? my fish is perfectly fine. i check the parameters every THREE DAYS with my liquid test kit and nothing has ever been off, his behavior is fine to. ive never once put a betta in anything less then 5 gallons, or anything that’s not up to standard for care and beyond. my tanks meet every single care requirement and more so why the hell am i getting messages calling me abusive and making fun of me? i’ve had to delete so many comments because i keep getting asked the same question over and over again or called abusive. this is honestly so petty and childish, if i WAS being abusive that’s still not okay you still shouldn’t threaten to dox people or tell them to kill themselves over it. i’ve never came across this issue on reddit, the post wasn’t made on reddit either but i’m asking here because im very experienced with bettas, ive researched probably everything their is to research and more, i dont have much experience with sickness/injury tho since ive never had a betta get sick on/because of me or hurt because im super careful with my scape layouts and quarintine periods, ive only really felt with fin rot in 2 of my modern extreme fin males that i have right now but this tends to be a good place to ask questions and not get told to kill yourself for doing so. it has mostly mini lotus, floaters, and anachris but it wasn’t feeling planted enough for my taste so i ordered some more after looking through a bunch and still not seeing much that fit the vision, but i did find some after about 2ish hours of searching.

photos pictured are just one of the twins, but this is so weird! she had 4 others that are healthy, and is stil going on a few more i just decided to lay down and sleep and hope they don’t get eaten.(i net out every single baby as its born usually) also, all 3 are alive.

my cat was supposed to be spay aborted, but she gave birth prior to her appointment to silent babies. were rescheduling it, but i know this has been hard for her so i want to let her adjust for at least a few weeks before taking her to have another potentially traumatic moment. her next appointment will likely be next month, my dads cat he brought in was extremely underweight and tiny and looked like it had been raped by another cat and bleeding out of her private area (which i know is their mating process, it’s violent) but she was so tiny my dad assumed their was no way she could be pregnant. after nursing her back to health, my dad assumed it safe to continue putting meat in her bones until any surgeries. she ended up getting really big which my dad assumed was just from the food and treatments he had given her, none of us knew until very late in her pregnancy because she was kept in the basement until that point. she ended up giving birth to 5 kittens, stopped feeding them at about 4 weeks and they were extremely tiny and undersized after besides one who she was still feeding. my cat had given birth to still borns about 2 weeks after she stopped feeding hers, and began letting my dads cats kittens nurse. this has been truly amazing to watch, she basically saved these kittens lives. they were so undersized and struggling to gain weight i throughly they were going to die and now they’re at a completely normal size for their age and my cat seems very happy that she has something to take care of aswell, soon she will go in to the vet to be fixed with my dads cat but that’s not the focus of this post, and i don’t want it to be. i want to make this post to praise my amazing cat for being such an amazing mother to babies that weren’t even hers after she went through something so horrible and lost her own. she’d probably make an awesome foster mom cat, but since i will be getting her spayed she won’t lactate.
