Do cis people really believe trans women ARE women or do they just believe trans women aren't men?

I have two cis sisters and they make it clear that they don't truly believe in the fact that we're women. Like they can acknowledge that dysphoria exists and transgender brains exist and is real but they don't think transition makes someone a woman..? I struggle to see their logic in that but they do tell me that the majority of people especially women do not see trans women as one of them, they simply support trans women as they have empathy but they don't believe the former.

I don't know what to think because I'm not sure if their opinions have clouded my judgment or if this what the majority of cis people including allies think. What do you think from cis people or even your own opinions if you are cis? Even another question, is it a bad thing since they're supportive anyway?

Ableist thoughts are making my mental health deteriorate

I recently found out that my sister's abusive ex has BPD. I had already known about the disorder but not the details, and now that I've heard more about it it's just made me want to avoid every single person I suspect has bpd or similar which is impossible and also very cruel and I of all people should understand that since I've experienced discrimination myself.

It seems to be driven by my own anxiety I just wish things like bpd, schizophrenia and other things like that just didn't exist because I'm under the impression the world would have complete harmony. I just feel like we'd be in a utopia without it but I understand how unrealistic that is because we do live in a society.

I think what I actually have is a phobia of those specifically with cluster-Bs, and schizophrenia if that's not included. It scares me how I can't control what happens especially now that I've been personally affected by someone with it. But I do understand that they have their own trauma and upbringing and likely they're suffering way more than I am but I just can't seem to help how I feel.

I've tried writing in my diary what it is that's actually scaring me about it, seeing how much of the world has it, and it's helped a bit but I still feel so horrible for even having the thoughts, I've reached out for support and I'm hoping I'll be able to see a therapist about it but I think the fact that I have these thoughts is what makes me feel even worse, I'm typically very empathetic and progressive so this is really a shift for me. Just really needed to vent

Why has transphobia increased?

The 90s to early 2010s pushed for such growth in the acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. I mean we really had it good, gay marriage was legalized, the pride flags were finally in places, it was just good. Not perfect but good.

Yet through all of that the acceptance of trans people have just been on the decline, compared to any of other group in the community. Why is this? What is so significant and why couldn't it be stomped out like the gay stereotypes that had grown from the AIDS time, or like the stereotypes about the whole community. Why can't people stomp out the hate against trans people?

Men don't have a higher sex drive than women

I think the average man and woman have the same level of sex drive, however physically and biologically it's different. Think about it, everyone on Earth (apart from gay men) are attracted to women, women find women to be attractive, men find women to be attractive biologically and physically at the same rate, children feel safer to approach women, studies even show dogs show a preference towards women over men too.

For many heterosexual women, first they have the biological attraction to men but the physical attraction comes second because of evolutionary traits to be aware of perceived "danger". The perceived danger of men, even pushed more by the patriarchy is why there's more of a girlhood than a brohood. Services like OF for example have a large male audience but some women watch it too, and they all primarily watch women. Women don't typically watch men on OF, there's not a high demand

Even with reproduction, men have to be aroused to make a woman pregnant. Women don't. Women literally could be asleep, but men actively need to be aroused to release sperm. So with reproduction, 100% of reproduction is dependent on the man's enjoyment. Pregnancy is a long and many times painful experience, which is also extremely risky for the woman which is why there's a natural aversion when deep true love is not there, which is also why PPD is a thing (depression after childbirth)

This is simply my theory on it

How do you answer the question: "How did you know you were trans?"

How do you answer this in a way that sounds coherent, of course without saying "I feel like a woman/man/different on the inside". How do you say it to a person in a way that they'll understand? How would you personally say it?

A bit meta: but why are there no snark pages on men?

Something I've noticed with every snark page, if it's on a man it's going to be of the man and their girlfriend. Artists like Chris Brown can quite literally get away with beating his wife and other allegations, and still have fanpages upon fanpages but someone like say... TaraYummy will be a little boy-crazy and get multiple "snark" pages on her. Why do we let men get away with so much more? It seems a lot like misogyny

To make matters worse, I've seen a lot of men engaging in snark pages saying the most horrible things about women and their bodies and it's upvoted and cheered by other "snarkers"... so we're just celebrating this now? Believe me I love a good snark but sometimes it makes me feel a bit recessive in terms of women's rights - especially now that I know that for example the Ernst snark pages have a huge percentage of men.

What do you think?

Does TERF rhetoric get to anyone?

Does anyone else sort of feel worried by terf rhetoric or even almost believing it? I just spoke with a trans girl who's really affected by terfs for some reason, she takes their word as like gospel which I find to be pretty sad? Surely we all know terfs aren't right, I'm not really sure how to help her because she's got to be like the third I've spoken to now who somehow takes terfs opinions over the majority of lesbians

Most lesbians support trans women given by the data, clearly this and many other lesbian subreddits are extremely supportive, dating apps are supportive. I'd say the only real issue we have is infighting among trans women, but terfs are pretty rare. Is there any reason why people internalize it so hard?
