What happens when u catch a fly ?

It's been a very big deal for while to be able to catch a fly with ur own hands and instinct for a long time I thought it was just a trick of some sorts untill I met a guy who actually did it infront of me and it was very fast, and I often wonder how did a human get so fast if humans can react that fast why do they die in car accidents could be some exceptions.

the quiet way my mom says she misses me

my family has never been very good at saying emotional things out loud.

we do not really say “i miss you” or “i love you” that much. it is always more like, did you eat, wear a jacket, take an umbrella, i made your favorite food today.

after coming abroad for college, i started realizing how lucky it was to come home and just have my mom’s food waiting there. funny how you only understand some kinds of happiness after you leave them.

my mom gave me this little divoom timesframe before i moved. i kept it on my desk, but honestly i was so busy with school and work that i kind of stopped paying attention to it.

then a few days ago i came back to my room and saw it playing photos from home. our dog. the kitchen. the food she made that day. little random pictures looping one after another like a tiny family drama.

i just stood there for a second.

my mom is not a tech person at all, so the fact that she figured out how to send those pictures somehow made it hurt more. it felt like she was using the clumsiest, softest way to say she missed me.

i miss her too. i am just not very good at saying it either.

i am almost done with the work i have here, and i can finally go home soon. i keep thinking about eating my mom’s food again.

there are so many photos i want to keep, not just saved on my phone, but somewhere in my head too. life is still long, right. i guess i can take my time sorting through them, remembering them, and keeping them properly.

GX batch -GT Cut 1- “Trevor Ariza Kings PE”

These sneakers are quite new on the market, so I've decided to share my experience concerning them.

First of all, the choice of colors is just amazing, because all things were done brilliantly with respect to purple and golden colors. In addition, they look great on photos and are even better in reality. Hence, it was another reason for me to admire this pair more than others from the same category of sneakers.

Speaking of comfort, everything is superb right after trying them out. It goes without saying that they are rather light and well-balanced, which proves that sneakers of such quality exist.

To sum up, I cannot be happier about owning this pair. Nonetheless, you should know that if you are a fan of Lakers, then this pair of sneakers might be just the thing you need.

AI features almost nobody uses but should

Custom instructions / memory

Everyone begins each chat from scratch, introducing themselves and their demands. After getting through that stage, it surely wouldn’t waste much effort!

Editing previous messages instead of starting over

In case the answer is irrelevant, one could simply edit the original message and get the answer accordingly – no need to type another message, right?

Asking to ask me anything first

If it’s a complicated assignment, one could ask the AI bot to “ask me anything before continuing” and it’ll be more precise as a result.

That’s all little stuff, yet it adds up significantly.

Does any underused but vital feature come to mind?

What's the one thing it said that genuinely stopped you in your tracks?

Not the kind that puts you up on a pedestal, definitely not those.

This is the time where it makes something that is so intrinsic within you that you would put away your mobile phone.

This was one of those times that made me realize that I am the type of person that always says sorry even if I am right.

And I didn't even have to tell it.

So tell me about yourself?

Nobody talks about this enough with AI tools

There's a problem with confidence in each of the AI systems. They think they know everything, even when they don’t.

This isn't a bug they’re yet to fix; it’s an element of their design to ensure fluid content production rather than bring attention to any of their shortcomings.

However, the ability that most people underrate when it comes to AI is not producing great prompts but verification.

Here are some lessons I have learned from individuals using AI models effectively.

How do you go about verifying what AI gives you?👇

AI search is useful. Most people are using it wrong.

Throwing a poorly formulated question to an AI search tool and expecting the best from it is no different than Googling a single keyword.

The folks who are seeing some real results know that this is not about posing a question but a discussion – more questions, requests for references, arguing bad answers, deep-diving into one topic rather than glossing over five others.

AI search is not some black box that gives answers. It is a brain partner whose results depend fully on how actively you interact with it.

How do you conduct your research with AI?👇

The fastest way to kill your productivity with AI tools

Using 5 different AI tools for each of the 5 tasks seems to make sense. On the contrary, that is just a recipe for decision fatigue.

Choose 1 tool for each process and really get to know it. The ones who derive the most value from AI technology are not constantly switching their tools around.

They focus on mastering fewer but deeper tools.

What is the one AI tool that has made you save the most time when fully committed to it?

Most AI meeting tools are solving the wrong problem

Most AI meeting tools are solving the wrong problem

Everyone's racing to build a better transcription tool. But the transcript isn't the bottleneck.

The bottleneck is what happens after turning decisions into action across Slack, Jira, email, etc.

The AI tool that nails that loop will win. We're not there yet.

What meeting AI are you actually using day-to-day? 👇

The thing nobody talks about when the weight starts coming off

It happened around the fourth month, and I wasn’t prepared for it at all.

The moment the food obsession stopped, it left me with some room in my head that I didn’t know what to do with. For years, my mind had been preoccupied by thinking, stressing and negotiating about food all day long. I had normalized it so much that it took leaving me to realize how exhausting it was.

What no one tells you is that this obsession was also a way for me to handle my emotions. When the drugs had taken care of my eating issues, the emotions stayed behind but had nowhere to go.

If only someone had warned me, I would have been prepared for this process to happen, rather than shocked by it.

There’s plenty of documentation for this experience, although it's not always discussed. It may very well be the most important aspect of this whole story.

Anyone else experienced the same thing?
