[serious:] if you are Black and you are born in the USVI, are you a “Foundational Black American”?

I ask this because I have a friend who was born in st thomas but he has family who been here since the islands were Danish (so the border crossed him) This is a food for thought question because i know in the states, people will see us carribean rather an american especially when we talk since we don’t “sound the same” but on some real shit, is soca gonna be playing at the cookout? im down to bring some genips and saltfish paté.

im not tryna be part of that tiktok bs but it make a lil sense because we are not first generation immigrants like the other carribean american folk and africans as our families been here longer than most people although puertoricans got citizenship before us.

what if people had chromatophores in their skin like chameleons and octopus?

if we were like that after evolving from homo erectus (somehow), how would human history change especially after the 1500s?

napoleonic era ural cossack impression?

based on surviving pictures they’re depicted with a navy blue chekpen, trousers that can be bloused and a belt or a sash as well as a busby. i can procure or substitute nearly everything else but a chekpen is nearly unobtainium that is also cost prohibitive compared to the common pakistani made chokhas on etsy/ebay. so what is a nearly economical option for a knee or above knee length coat that will look right but not break the bank. i have $156

*chokha were officially adopted after the caucasian war in the 1860s.

if you were a construction worker and were teleported back to a duelling arena with a construction tool, which one would you prefer in your offhand as a diy buckler?

1st one is a cement groover, 2nd one is a invert groover, 3rd is a outside step edger, 4th is a inside step edger and the 5th one is a darby. all of these are subs for a buckler but if you had a rapier or messer.

Is Black America a nation?

I am not advocating for separtism at all because it will make people attack us. the OGs of the republic of new afrika are dead and that idea never took off. trying to send us to liberia failed. But a nation is defined as a large group of people with a common language, culture, history and territory. they often have a government, but some nations do not. Black America has all of that except a government. because of that reality, I believe we are a schrodinger’s stateless nation like the kurds, sami, and metis? at least those cultures are allowed autonomy like rojava in syria. if we attempted something like that like, it will get shut down somehow as boondocks and grinlocke showed us. we also have a vast collective memory of institutions like a nation.

i will not get into the history because most of us know it already from the elders or quality research.

Update: to an extent, the usvi is the closest entity we have to autonomy in america. but even over there, the culture is different from aa culture.

during the caliphates as well as the ikhanate and ottoman rule, what was the peasant loadout besides spears?

let’s say you are part of the zanj revolt against the abbasids or a medieval fellah in mamluk era egypt? what would the starting arsenal be? the hussites of czechia were sophisticated because they had backup in the form of mobile firepower and they also had threshals which worked well against armor. what did farmers have access to from the 700s to the mid 1300s and a lil after? i know the minjal sickle resembles the east asian kama but what else would those class of rebels also have? its rarely documents

Will the Earth be a much better place if every perpetrator of a crime where the child was a victim faced imminent capital Punishment?

because somebody has to think of the children even if they are beating each other up in the restroom, behind a store, at a bus stop or even on the bus.

what if everyone on the planet who had any authority anywhere behaved like a slave driver?

after all, they get stuff done so it is not like that is poor leadership. if that is the template then what if we ran every institution as an authoritarian like many parents, jocks, jrotc cadets, teachers, first responders, retail leadership and etc.

Making civil rights activists check in with federal law-enforcement prior to a protest or life activity aside from school or work.

because many world leaders and subordinates dislike people challenging the status quo, even if it will make the country better like abolishing legal genocides or segregation

Does it pay to keep a foreign country in chaos especially if it pisses off its neighbors with: refugee camps, spillover, illegal immigration and mafias tied to all 3?

for example, the uae in sudan but similar stuff happened throughout history

how do know when someone has a idea but it is not making any sense?

for example, some poor parents are unable to afford to provide for their children. so cps takes them away and gives them to a foster family but the government pays them money to take care of someone else’s kids! so unless the bio parents were too incapacitated to do their jobs, why do the govt subsidize the bio family so the youth would not be forced to imprint on strangers that might hate them or use them as a “paycheck”?

how do you all address “the laws of man vs the laws of god” conflict if it exists in islam?

i been hammered by right wingnuts and one of them told me that god laws says follow man laws until they conflict with gods law, romans 13-1. is there an equivalent in the qur’an? or religion aside, how do you make that call because hardliners everywhere would rationalize bulldozing a lgbt friendly house of worship (church, synagogue or masjid) but in most places where lgbt is tolerated, the law will arrest and charge you with vandalism or similar offenses because all both abrahamic texts say lgbt will go to the flames.

i know i need to read but there is a reason reading a bunch of relevant textbooks or manuals without going to school will not allow you to be recognized as a qualified individual for whatever you do?
