The free and main attraction, the western village, of the park is closed on Wednesdays. We put frontier town in the gps on a whim to try something new, and it said it was open. And as we got there, it appeared to be fully open. Water park and main restaurant was open. Here’s the kicker—We even went in to the restaurant and asked the guy working where the western village was and he told us (I guess he didn’t know it was closed either😅) so we walked back, saw things were closed up looking, asked the attendant in another building and that’s when they said western village part was closed on Wednesdays 😅 ugh lol. After doing a website deep dive, there is a small section that says that portion is closed on Wednesdays, oddly, but I just wanted to save other peoples time by letting them know! Nothing like wasting your time on vacation lol

Planning on going to OC next week, and my anxiety and ibs is telling me to compile a list of public restrooms, lol. I’m aware of the 27th 9th and pier locations on the boardwalk, but I’m more so asking about on the drive in, on coastal highway. I’ve used Wawa before on the strip as they have public purchase free restrooms. I’m wondering if McDonald’s, royal farms, other gas stations and stops on coastal are the same way? Thanks so much guys! Any help/personal experience is appreciated!

What in the actual f 🤠 So to the people that could not access the webinar due to technical difficulties on the COMPANY’S end… just no pay for them lol? Strongly encouraged to view, but only paid for those of us that could make it live to the clown show? That’s it, that’s the post 😌 My second time wearing clusters w bond and seal glues and the stickiness was my biggest gripe. I remember seeing a comment on here about using black eyeshadow but didn’t want the fallout and the pigment so I tried translucent powder. It did leave a tiny white cast, so I just brushed the extra out with a spoolie brush :) Applied it to the top and bottom of my lashes w a small eyeshadow brush I hope this helps someone out!

I think I found the perfect sub to ask this question—

I’ll start by saying this, generating an image and selling it plain alone as “art”, I don’t like or consider as art as the human experience is removed, and tbh most of the time doesn’t look good lol

One thing I will say, thinking as a business person, not only as an artist, I don’t see the harm in using ai type tools to clarify blurry client reference photos, generate poses I can’t find reference photos for, generate social media captions (not graphics) to save time, etc. This can save me substantial time and money which counts as a small business.

I look at it as a tool to make the back end workings as an artist smoother, not to actually replace or sell the ai images themselves as “art”.

I’m looking for opinions on this process, basically. Is this an ethical use of ai occasionally as an artist?

I will say, I’m kind of in the middle of the debate. I understand a lot of artists are completely against AI, which I can’t say completely I am. (I work a part time job ai training, so I see all different sides of this debate)

To the people that are completely against it— I just struggle to understand. If ai is going to “take me job” why do clients that have pages littered with ai photos still come to me for commissions? If it’s going to replace us, why didn’t the camera? Like others said, there was a time digital art was frowned upon. And not only that, these people that are 100% against it don’t seem to be getting off of Facebook, Instagram, google, or Amazon anytime soon 😏

And yes— the environmental impact is not good as is. My hope is in the future this will be improved as the technology advances. Hence why I try to limit my use.

So my question is— what are your thoughts on occasionally using ai tools to assist artists with reference, poses, etc?

I’m in a bit of a pickle and looking for advice from other cluster lash users—

I’ll start by saying this, I have already used ardell lashtite glue, and boy the hold is STRONG! In fact, a bit too strong, which is prompting me to make this post😅

The problem is, the glue is so strong it rips some of my eyelashes out when removing, even with the ardell remover…

That’s why I am questioning transitioning over to a bond/seal type of glue.

The only thing I am worried about here, is I am worried these will be the opposite, and not stick enough!

For reference, I’ll be wearing these on my beach vacation, and have them on for about a week. (So wearing in a little bit of water, not underwater or anything) and a little heat, sweat, etc.

So— which type of glue would y’all recommend? Switch to the bond and seal and potentially loose the glue strength, or stay w the lashtite and loose some lashes😅

(I can totally try the bond and seal out for a weekend first, too)

I’ve been seeing a lot about this lately, with the general consensus of most people being that they are very against gen AI. I can’t say I agree fully.

Of course, maybe I’m a little biased w this job 😅

But I will say I have an interesting background. I also work as an artist, and work for a small business… so I can see the anti perspective from artists, but also the pro perspective from a small business (for example: a small business can’t afford or have the time to hire a social media manager, so they use AI for social media posts, etc.)

My opinion— I’m not one of these 100% anti-AI folk, but not a full pro also.

One thing I learned from this job is that this is a tool. And to the people that say AI will replace all jobs, artists, etc, … I don’t agree. For Christ sake, if it wasn’t for AI, I wouldn’t have this job! Ai TRAINING😂

I literally saw one of these hard core anti AI people on Facebook yesterday shame someone for asking a question about AI. And in their comment, they screenshotted an AI summery of why AI is bad😅 The idiocy.

Anyway, the point of this post, just a little conversation starter to my fellow AI coworkers… how do you feel about AI?
