Does anyone use free SEO tools? Any that aren't too limiting?

So i spent about 2 months building my store before making it live last week. Slowly getting more human traffic but Ive been using SEMRush to do SEO audit and didnt realize how limiting the free version was. It only crawled half my site and now I'm out of crawls for the month.

Considering MOZ and others but I'm assuming theyre equally limited. Am I just going to have to make due until I can afford a subscription?

What's this peeling on the underside of the lid of my Weber Spirit II?

Been using this grill a little over a year, just noticed tonight. Plan to scrub tomorrow, but a little concerned at what I may be exposing myself to

Reinforced tunic for rapier practice?

Hello, Ive been fighting in my padded spes jacket for a few years and while I love the protection, im dying from this heat.

I got the idea to take a tunic I have and create an inner layer to pass the punch test, but this lead me to some questions. First, are short sleeve garments ok for rapier? The rules I can find specify torso and armpit coverage so I guess short sleeves are a risk if raised arms shows armpits

Second, what materials could I use with a standard cotton tunic that would pass the punch test with minimum layers? And how could I attach them without looking bad? Someone was showing me their doublet that they sewed layers into

Not happy with my store, just launched today, been working on it in my free time for about a month.

I feel like its not very intuitive to get around and I know i need to set filters but havent had time to learn how to do that. Also not really happy about typography

Last rejection is more than I can take...the realization that I'm probably not landing anything before I lose everything...I cant do this

Unemployed since June 12. Had a decent, but not high paying remote role. Funny enough I think they wanted to switch to an on-site hire, but I live in a LCOL area and the office is in a HCOL area, doubt they increased the pay, heard from a coworker that got to stay theyre having a hard time filling my role

Im well over 300 applications at this point. Spread between job boards, company sites, and cold inquiries. I can only really track the job board applications.

My electricity, credit cards, and mortgage are all a month behind at this point. Unemployment is less than half of what I earned. I had no savings. Completely my fault and im paying the price now. I have no idea how im going to recover from this financially. Maybe I dont.

I get the impression my rate of getting interviews is good, ive gotten 5 interviews. However I completely fail to turn these into jobs. Ive been ghosted by 4 of them. Only 1 had the decency to reject me promptly. At first I was upset but now, im not. I had to call today to confirm that my second most recent interview went with another candidate

Honestly I cant take this any more. Yeah I know im not the only one going through this and I dont mean to downplay anyone else's suffering but this is insane. I got turned down from a job paying 5k a year less than I had been making, while going from fully remote to a 25 mile commute (1 hour with traffic).

I get that remote is shrinking. I cant do this any more. Im sick of the applications im sick of my bank account getting smaller im sick of the anxiety

Partymod for thps4 steam deck troubleshooting

I am doing a playthrough of the series on my steam deck and am having a difficult time installing party mod for thps4. I got lucky and found a version of 3 with partymod preinstalled.

Do I just have the wrong version installed?

Job I interviewed for would be downgrade to job I lost but I feel like there's no choice

I don't want to waste anyone's time but I lost a 50k a year fully remote job. Really worked for us because it allowed us to be a single income family. Single car too. And it allowed my 18 year old car to stay in good shape.

Well I live about 25 miles from a city so obviously thats where a lot of the opportunity is. We are committed to staying here in our nice little town for a number of reasons, moving would be a last resort.

I recently interviewed for a government role that I would honestly love the work and it would be really fulfilling but its a 30 minute commute without traffic, 1 hour with, plus it would leave my wife with no car. The pay is about 5000 a year less so despite needing to get a used car id be earning less.

Has anyone ever recovered from a pay cut like this? I have a side hustle in the works that im ready to get off the ground, I cant start it yet because ill lose unemployment. If im lucky I can make up the lost income there.

Want to send thank you after interview but cant find interviewers email

Friday I interviewed for a low level government job. I met with the head of the department and one other person but it was clear the head of the department was conducting the interview. I know im late but I want to send a thank you email today. I can't find her email address anywhere on the government site. The interview was set up over the phone. Do I just move on?

Laid off a month ago, not coping well

The job market is terrible. I moved to a smaller town in 2021 so I could afford a house, but I shot myself in the foot because now im an hour away from any liveable job. Im probably going to take a slight pay cut and also deal with a 30 minute to 1 hour commute.

Ive been ghosted from 2 interviews. I got turned down from Medicare so I cant even see a doctor despite the loss of income. I had no savings because im an idiot who was ok with living paycheck to paycheck. I just want to say fuck it and check out and let whatever happens happen but I have a kid.

Plus if I do get a job im worried that AI will fuck everything up in the next 10 years. I have no hope for my future. I was never going to be rich but I was content. I had a job I enjoyed that paid shit but enough to live.

Sorry for rant. I get 4 or 5 rejection emails a day and the most recent one set me off

I have 0 hope for my future

I was laid off last month. Am the sole income for my family of 3 (not willing to disclose why)

Of course ive been applying to jobs non stop since then and of course I've had no luck. But thats not what makes me feel miserable. Even if I am fortunate enough to find a job, I feel 0 hope for the future. Now or in 10 years, 20, etc, AI will replace normal people. Ive thought about ending it because of this. Today I looked my daughter in the eye and had to go break down. I cant leave her but this is too much. My job is to provide and ive failed.

4 Interviews in a month of unemployment, could I improve?

I was laid off at the beginning of last month and am currently trying to obtain any employment I can ASAP, as I am the sole income for my family for reasons I'm not going to discuss.

I've had 4 interviews during this month, which I attribute more to applying to entry level roles than my resume or work history.

Anything I could improve?

I haven't had a moment free from anxiety since early June

I thought I would have something by the end of the month but I feel no closer than the day I was let go. 8 years of experience and I cant get a callback from Walmart. Bills are stacking up, I feel this tightness in my chest 24 hours a day I just want to go to sleep. My heart is beating out of my chest. Every time my phone goes off I get this stupid "what if" excitement. If its a ring, its some god damn foreign scammer, if it's an email its fucking linkedin despite being unsubscribed. Dad says ill find something but get the feeling he blames me. I dont hold it against him, he's in his 70s. He couldnt know what its like. Im 33 feel like I have to start from square one. I got, what. 40 years left to make it work? How? I wasted these 15 on a degree that doesnt do shit for me and I cant repay. I got into a career that saw me as disposable and now I cant do it anymore because of AI. Is this all there is? If I didnt have a kid it wouldn't be so scary. I was the sole income. Its my responsibility and now I cant even provide. I dont want much just what I had 2 months ago.

1 month in, running out of time

Yeah I know 1 month isnt a long time (it should be) but im seriously running low, I might lose my house. I was paycheck to paycheck before the layoff, so I didnt have the savings I should have. Yeah obviously thats a failure on my part but im just fucked.

10+ applications a day well over 200 so far and I feel no closer than the day I got let go. What the fuck do I do? Ive applied for hardship assistance but im going to have to pay everything back so either I get lucky and get a job next week (lmao) or I go from being paycheck to paycheck to just bleeding money.

This is so frustrating I did nothing wrong to deserve this i feel like I've been having a heart attack since last month

Curious about orthodoxy

Hi. Raised Baptist, left for a while, was atheist. Came back to Christ, but when I tried to return to the Baptist church it didn't feel right. I have a hard time explaining what felt off but the closest I can manage is it didn't feel serious? My wife was raised episcopal church and does not want to return for politics.

I flirted with the idea of Catholicism for a while because the history there did make it seem like it had the seriousness I was missing but I just never went. About a year ago I attended a funeral service at a Greek orthodox church and that more or less introduced me to orthodox Christianity in general.

For whatever reason the thought that I have to get involved in church is at the front of my mind and im considering checking out the nearest orthodox congregation. They are about 20 miles away. I was going to reach out via the contact form but how well are visitors treated?

2 charge 4 watches killed by recent update?

Yeah, I know theyre old now but both mine and my wife's charge 4 were working perfectly fine and have died in the same way in the same week. Battery is all over the place, suddenly not working with either of our chargers.

Anyone else?

1 month unemployed

You guys weren't kidding. The market is awful. Im taking psychic damage from each automated rejection email. Rushing to check my notifications or answer a phone call just to have it be spam. One of the applications I submitted was fake and they sent me a malicious link.

Had an interview last week, just got the rejection this morning. Had a great chat with an HR manager at a job fair, was told to check in after a week, no response after 2 weeks. Had a REALLY great interview last week but my confidence is so shattered im expecting to get ghosted.

How do you do this? I was paycheck to paycheck before the layoff now I dont even know what im going to do. I have a kid i dont want to uproot her by losing the house but it might be out of my control.

All this for a layoff that was outside of my control. My boss liked me and my work was great.

Pardon my venting

Feeling lost setting up shipping

Feeling lost setting up shipping

Completely new to this, setting up a shopify store that I want to launch in about a month. Currently dealing with suppliers. Most of what im going to start with is manual dropshipping and dealer fulfillment so no shopify integration.

Im also dealing with a lot of oddly shaped packages so shipping by weight isnt really helpful. The only shipping profile I have set up right now is books lol.

Also im worried about setting up shipping for orders containing items from multiple distributors. How did yall get started? I have a decade of ecommerce experience, shipping is way more tricky than I pictured

How do I report a job?

I applied to a job tonight around 9 est and was sent a link to interview at midnight. Theres just a lot about this particular listing and the email itself (which included a link and tried to seem urgent) that is extremely fishy. I suspect it might be a phishing attempt but I can't find a report button on the listing

Asked to do a "test drive" with a Webcam on immediately after applying to a job

Im not sure what a test drive is lol I guess its just part of the application but I've never been asked to do anything on camera as part of an application, is this a red flag?

Laid off, any opportunities in the Columbia area?

Sorry if this is a bad sub for this, but frankly im terrified and will take any help i can get.

I am from columbia, currently living in chapin. I was recently laid off from my remote ecommerce job. When I was remote I didnt mind living this far from town, but now it feels like there's nowhere to work other than doctors offices unless I want to drive all the way into town. Ive applied for a ton of jobs at USC, but im going to assume im not getting them. Is there anything else I should consider?
