Keep your Aadhaar Biometrics unlocked, PLEASE!!

Hey guys, wanted to share a crazy situation I got into recently and how it got resolved, just in case any of you ever find yourself in the same soup.

So, I ordered a new phone on Flipkart via exchange. Before handing over my old phone, I formatted it, but stupidly managed to wipe my eSIM profile as well.

When I went to the Jio store to get a duplicate SIM, they told me they couldn’t issue it because my Aadhaar biometrics were locked. To unlock my biometrics, I visited an Akshaya centre where they said I needed an OTP.…which was being sent to my phone number... which was on the wiped SIM.

Boom. Absolute deadlock. No SIM -> No OTP -> No Biometric Unlock -> No duplicate SIM.

The folks at the Akshaya centre didn’t even know what exactly to do couldn't help me out. So, I decided to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra at Kacheripady (Ernakulam).

I reached there around 9:15 AM. Their office opening time was 9:30 AM, but the office was already open, super clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

The staff there guided me with the whole process very professionally and updated my Aadhaar-linked mobile number to my dad's phone number instead.

Upon submitting my request, they said it would take a maximum of 3 days to update the number but it hardly took just 10 minutes!

Within an hour, the number was updated, my dad received the OTP, we bypassed the deadlock, and I successfully unlocked my biometrics permanently. Right after that, I walked into a Jio store and got my duplicate SIM without a hitch.

I hope this helps someone out there.

Cheers!

Does anyone know where the Flipkart Warehouse is for the Malaparamba area? I would like to go collect my order as it's getting delayed. The item has already reached my nearest hub but I need to know the correct hub location.

Thanks.

Best iPhone accessories (India)

Hello ya'all.

My iPhone 17 is about to arrive in a couple of days. I've been a lifelong Android user and this will be my first iPhone.

Could someone please suggest the best accessories for keeping my device in its best condition, please:

  1. Case (I wanted to go with the Daily Objects stack case but I heard it's bad)

  2. Charge adapter (Should I get the official Apple adapter)

  3. Should I get the cable from Apple?

  4. Screen protector (I want a privacy screen protector)

Thanks in advance!

Good iPhone 17 deal?

Hi guys,

Just ordered the iPhone 17 (256GB) during the Sasa Lele sale.

- Listing Price: ₹82,900

- Effective Price: ₹58,593

- Pixel 7 Exchange Price: ₹10,050

Got about ₹19,000 off total between the exchange value for my Pixel 7 and the bank/sale discounts.

Is 58k a solid price for the 17 right now, or should I have held out longer?

Hello my dear Kozhikottukaar!

I'm in need of some suggestions.

Starting from Malaparamba( where my home is), I'm strictly looking for a solid stretch with smooth roads and, most importantly, minimal traffic.

No, I'm not going to Wayanad churam (I know that's going to be packed).

Just want a peaceful, uninterrupted 1-2 hour round-trip cruise to decompress. Maybe pull over somewhere scenic for a quick chaya or snack, and head back home.

Where is your favorite go-to spot for an anti-stress drive when you just want to cruise?

I'm wondering how the police are going to manage and maintain this stretch as a zero parking zone. What are your thoughts on this?
