Is my Dutch GPA too low to apply to Canadian colleges?

Hi all, I'm breaking my head trying to figure this out. I get very different answers depending on what source I consult, so I'll try here: I have a 6.57 GPA on the Dutch 1-10 scale. Most universities in Canada (iirc) require you to have a 3.0 equivalent as a minimum. I went through different converters and some say its just 3.0, some says its from 2.6-2.9, so falling short. I even read that admissions people at these unis apply a curve when looking at grades from different GPA systems. All of this is insanely confusing to me and I just want to find out if I would be wasting hundreds of dollars applying to these unis if I fail to meet the requirement in all of them. Would really appreciate some clarity on this, thank you!

Anyone else got a handful of weird and hateful messages on their first video that really popped off?

I'm extremely grateful for my recent vid essay taking off (really didn't expect it at all, especially since it took after like a day). I got so many comments I havent read them all yet, but there was one where a guy called me a slur for no reason at all eventhough he agreed with my claims as he said.

Anyone else getting the same where its like 99% great positive engagement and that 1% of weird, crazy and nonsensical hate comments?

Ormund has already won the war for the Greens

Even though he is most certainly dying in the finale (RIP), he has planted so many seeds to warrant Rhaenyra's downfall in the next season. Daemon and Rhaenyra are complete idiots this season, they are clearly neglecting the smallfolk of KL. Pedo daemon's gold cloaks have left him, the city is crawling with Ormund's agents. It's even likely that his agents have infiltrated the gold cloaks when daemon was delivering his speech about conquering the whole world and remaking Valyria.

The Faith hates Rhaenyra's rule as evidenced by the scene with Septon Balman in Ep 3.

And most brilliantly, even if Ormund and his army get slimed in Tumbleton, the whole of the city alongside with its smallfolk will also burn - that will incite the KL riots and the next season's antagonist - The Shepherd.

How did British diplomacy and public opinion view Napoleon's invasion of Russia in 1812?

As per the title: During Napoleon's invasion, it seemed like Russia stood alone against the full force of Napoleon's Europe. IIRC, even the rearguard of his invasion force was made up of Austrian and Prussian Corps. To me, this begs the question if British diplomats and parliament realized their strategy could be utterly exposed and fail if Napoleon beat the Russian armies and forced Alexander to follow the Treaty of Tilsit again - which essentially would mean that the significant 'illegal' trade that Britain and Russia were having would cease and the Continental Blockade would really harm the economy of Britain if properly enforced by both a subjugated Russia and Napoleon.

At the end of the day, I personally feel like the CB was doomed to fail - it was too ineffective and costly for the parties involved. However, I do wonder if there was a doom-like attitude in British politics when Napoleon was on the brink of putting Russia back into the fold of his Continental System.

Its a great and really fun game but it raises my cortisol too much and makes me depressed

I like zombie stuff in general, was a big Telltale walking dead fan back in the day. This game is a perfect zombie experience. But man.... It's too perfect as in you have to think about a billion different things WELL IN ADVANCE as well if you want to survive for long. I just get cortisol spikes whenever I play this game and when zombies aren't around for long (when you have a base and you survived for months) it just gets depressing

How to grow niche video essay channel?

Hi all, I had my channel for a while but recently starting playing around with (posting edits, shitposts) until I finally found the time and energy to post my 1st vid essay on a pretty niche topic (its an ASOIAF theory video). I got a fair amount of subs from that and the viewership was also pretty good. I feel like its way harder to grow a video essay channel on youtube compared to other types of content. The main thing that annoys me is that I'm currently making a 40 min vid essay on a less niche topic within ASOIAF and HOTD and I'm worried that I'll again be in the hundreds. Is getting thousands of views of the bat just about luck? I must be doing something right since I got some good traction from such a niche vid from a channel with like 10 subs before the vid was posted, but I want to scale pretty quickly to be honest, would appreciate any tips from people who are in similar positions.
