I listened to the full-casted audiobook by Audible, but now I'm afraid I've missed details from the actual book
I found out after listening to the entire audiobook (which was excellent!) that the full-casted audiobook leaves out and even rewrites details present in the book. Especially regarding social commentary.
What's everything from the book that I've missed by only listening to the full-casted audiobook by Audible?

Sweden bans cousin marriage and other marriages between close relatives, law takes effect July 1, 2026
swedenherald.comNEW RULE: No Doxxing or Anti-PFU Sources
Freedom of speech is of course very important, and whether you are far-right or far-left, you are still allowed to voice your opinion, as long as you do not hurt anyone, or spread hate in the process. It is important that we let people we disagree with voice their opinions without silencing them, as muting/banning them only plays into their agenda that we are "against freedom of speech". Proving someone wrong in the comment section is way more healthy and effective than muting/banning opinions we do not like. We will not contribute to the already toxic polarization of our society.
The rehabilitation process for criminals in our society is virtually impossible whenever their criminal record is released to the public. They are likely never gonna get a job, which means they might be stuck in NAV (social subsidies) for the rest of their life, and more likely than not return to a life of crime (I know I personally would). Therefore, it is paramount that we choke the spread of those harmful sources. This new rule is meant to reflect that.
rNorske have rules protecting people's identities, but have not been very good at enforcing them. I have thus sent them a message, awaiting a response to see what is going on. Based on what I find out, forwarding posts from rNorske will be either specifically marked as allowed, or banned.
This is the new rule:
>Do not post identifying information about private individuals in connection with crimes or serious accusations. Discuss the issue, not the person.
>Content or news sources that contribute to public shaming, doxxing, or unnecessary identification of private individuals will be removed. As a general rule, sources that do not follow PFU's guidelines (Vær Varsom-plakaten) are not allowed.
>Examples of controversial sources:
❌ Rabulisten (not allowed)
✅ Document.no (allowed)
NB: This rule may not be perfect, so feedback is more than welcome. The rule may even be subject to change after constructive feedback.
I speak five languages on a B+ level, but I think it's because of (hypo)mania. Anyone else?
I feel like languages is the only thing of value I've been able to pick up during my life (M25). I've spontanously moved to different countries to learn languages, but during my "low periods", I've been stuck in that country, still being forced to learn the language that my manic-self wanted to learn.
This pattern hasn't worked at all whenever I've been trying to work or study, because I just get fired, or realize when I've "overstayed my welcome", and quit before things go too badly.
Learning languages have been my escape, because when I'm in another country, it doesn't matter if I'm happy or not; I just have to learn the language at be able to function at all.
Just realized the vast majority of my HC-list comes from '95-'97. Why doesn't newer hardcore catch my interest?
I'm pretty new to Hardcore Techno, so I apologize if my playlist seems overly basic (but these are songs I love A LOT). The sub-genres that have really caught onto me this far are "Makina" and "Happy Hardcore". Maybe down the line, I will begin to enjoy rawer and heavier stuff (like I've already gone through in metal).
But back to my question; I suspect the answer may be that I find a lot of 21st century hardcore to be quite corny, and I'm not saying that's necessarily bad thing (I'm a huge power metal fan after all, which is the corniest genre of all time), but I suspect that might be what's putting me off?
But what do you guys think? I honestly can't quite put my finger on it myself.
