Bought this Omen for ₹120000. Need some insight!

So my primary purpose for buying this laptop is college work (Mech eng), video editing, gaming, entertainment in general and whatever else arises later. I plan to keep it at least for my entire college life.

I had a budget of 1lakh and was eyeing the ryzen ai 7 350 rtx 5050 variant. Unfortunately I lost a good deal at that price range due to circumstances. That's when I saw this one with better looking specs at 1.2 and somehow convinced my parents to put in the extra amount.

Going overbudget was already making me feel guilty when I came across reviews stating it is a beast performance wise but struggles battery wise. The ryzen 7 variant supposedly has much better battery while this one barely crosses 2 hours of normal browsing (according to redditors).

I feel like I have bought an overpowered device which I might not even utilize fully while compromising on an important factor like battery. It hasn't arrived yet. Should I cancel the order and lose out on the deal? People who have the laptop/have used it, please share your insights. Is the battery life actually really bad?

I'm a big "zombie films" fan, an acclaimed korean zombie film released this week and has one fucking show in the entire city and that too at midnight😭

Been checking since Friday (the release day), it's the same case everyday. I understand there might not be enough demand but at least try running one show at a normal timing for like 2 days.

There is a 4DX show scheduled in the afternoon but it is expensive man😭

Maybe my humor standards are low, but I really liked the episode. Alia, Sharvari and all contestants were super fun. People are being overly critical

Pokemon Elysium has the best side quests out of any ROMhack I've played

I'm playing through Elysium right now and it is easily one of the best pokemon games i've ever played considering its story, characters and world building.

While I like a lot about the game, my favorite part is definitely the side quests. Some of them are integrated into the main story while the others are optional and all of them are really fun. The optional ones especially are the best because you can actually fail them. For instance, in the Illusion side quest, the evil guy manipulates you and you get an option to abort the mission. I went ahead, just out of curiosity and failed the quest lol

There is another quest where you have to defeat a lvl 15 ekans with a lvl 10 magicarp that only knows splash. If you lose, you fail the quest. There is no 2nd chance.

Succeeding the quests is satisfactory and also rewarding. There is a place in the map where repels cannot be used but doing one of the optional quests before going there gives you an item that allows repels. Must have been really annoying for those who didn't do the quest.

Apart from the quests, there is a treasure hunting minigame with a great reward in an uninhabited ancient city that is totally missable if you didn't explore the area well.

Overall, if you are still reading this and haven't played Elysium, GO PLAY IT!! Genuinely really fun (and also really long, I am not even halfway through the game and I have 8 badges).

This Spanish hack has insane graphics for a GBA game!

The hack is called Pokémon WaterBlue and it is a remastered version of FR/LG. A Spanish friend of mine told me about it and I'm genuinely impressed by how good the game looks.

The current beta only goes till Cerulean City and also hasn't been translated to English yet.

BTW it runs pretty smoothly, it's just my recording that is a bit laggy.

It's surprising that a completed new region original story romhack was randomly dropped on hackdex without any marketing

Was on hackdex to download Celia's hack and stumbled upon this. The dev mentions working on it for 4 years and that it is completed so was surprised to see that this wasn't posted on any major forum.

It looks good, check it out if you're interested.

Exam day! Need food recommendations in Bandra

I have an exam tomorrow morning and my center is MET league of colleges in Bandra. We were thinking about having Lunch there itself after the exam. Please recommend a restaurant/eatery that is not too heavy on the wallet and serves good food.

While a place near the centre (walkable) will be preferred, I don't mind travelling a bit via rickshaw for some really good food. Please drop your recommendations below.

ALSO I'm Vegetarian, I don't mind eating at a place that serves both veg and non-veg but I hope the veg options are good at least. Any cuisine works.

Prediction: Monomyth will join Unbound and Odyssey to form the big three of Pokémon ROMhacks after it's release later this year.

The developers of Pokémon Monomyth announced it's completion and subsequent release last week and this was out of nowhere for me. As someone who takes great interest in romhacks, I had no idea something of this scale was under development for the last 6 years.

Digged a bit into it and apparently the game is already complete and the devs are just bug testing before releasing it in fall this year. It is story focused and has original fakemon, great visuals and an extensive post-game. The devs are also super ambitious as they have already planned a multiplayer showdown competition and a collector's edition with wallpapers and stuff. They are keeping a lot of stuff hidden as of now so that we get a feeling of organic discovery when it releases.

Suddenly, this is the hack I'm most hyped for this year and I think yall should keep an eye on it too.

P.S: The big three thing is just an exaggeration. I just mean I have hopes that this might become one of the most popular hacks out there. I love all ROMhacks and all hackers are goated!

It's crazy how far we have come. There are so many I haven't mentioned that are being developed such as Rocket Edition hoenn dlc, Saffron, Samiya, Rose Gold NDS, Ghost Grey, Ultra Eclipse etc.

I didn't even know about Pokémon Monomyth until yesterday and suddenly we are getting a complete release with 70+ hours of polished gameplay this year itself. We are in for a treat guys!
