Did they bring up contract negotiations at the convention?

Alright, we just had a huge good ol boy party that cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars. Did we get any news on the contract negotiations? Or did they just talk about how awesome they all are.

Life ain't getting cheaper

Edit: I'm not anti union, Ive been involved in the union for many years as it is our only buffer from being mistreated, however I find the national union to be lacking in every metric, and frankly annoyed at how people seem to forget WE ARE OUT OF CONTRACT

Beginner asking how to get cleaner and louder recordings

Hey everyone. I just purchased a model 12 and have had a great time recording tracks on it. My main issue is that my tracks sound a bit muddy, and they also sound very quiet.

In terms of volume, I have the main fader at max pretty much, and the other faders are at 75% or so, and when I listen back to my mix, it's noticeably quieter than a song on Spotify or Apple Music for example. Could this just be because wit is not mastered?

In terms of quality, I run everything through a reverb or soke effect so that may have something to do with it. Maybe the less tracks the better if there is a lot of reverb?

Market is at all time highs and this sub keeps talking about how the market "crashed"

I'm just saying you guys are in psychosis. The market is at an all time high this week and everyone is citing a seeming stock market "crash".

I think a lot of you guys are overbought in AI and tech and need to diversify your portfolios. It'll help you sleep at night.

Or maybe simply you guys have very little time investing so you don't have the gains to have perspective. Since 2022 the stock market has been ripping upwards in an absolute incredible trajectory. In the past 4 years you have had the ability to really pad your positions and gain some serious upwards momentum if you stick to a keep buying strategy.

I check this sub once a day to check news but lately it's people somehow losing money in the best stock market the country has ever seen

Should I compensate exposure when using an automatic camera + red filter?

I have the Minolta Hi matic AF2. I ordered a red filter for B&W. Using tmax400. Should I compensate the ISO (the only variable setting) or just shoot at 400 and let the camera figure the metering out?

Got Dad's Fisher PHW-803 fixed ;)

My dad gave this to me and only the radio was working. Cassette decks were cooked. I called around and no one wanted to work on it until one guy finally did. Took a while but I finally got it back and it works great

Finally got my dads boombox fixed

The is was my dads always on workshop boombox. I don't think it got turned off for 30 years. He gave it to me and I wanted to use the cassette decks. Unfortunately I don't think he ever listened to a single cassette on here and the decks were non functioning and filled with a brick of dust.

I called many places and pretty much everyone hung up on me when I said boombox, until I finally got to a guy who said he would be happy to look at it. Took a few months in his shop but it's back good as new. Very very happy

Some of my favorite pictures taken on my SRT 101 and Hi matic af 2

Started doing film in April in an attempt to return to analog in an increasingly digital world. There's. A great lab at the end of my street that helped me out and got me going. I originally bought the SRT 101 because I watched a YouTube video and they said it was a sleeper pic, high quality and relatively inexpensive since they aren't Nikon or cannon etc. after using it for a while, I found it pretty heavy and hard to carry around so I bought the AF2 as a lightweight every day carry. There are virtually 0 light seals left but I didn't find any light leaks, which is pretty awesome. Out of maybe 5 or 6 rolls these are some of my highlights. Hope you enjoy
