What Women Want (2000)
What are people's thoughts on this? I watched it last night for the first time in years. It's a bit of its time, but I liked it all the same. I loved the early 00s vibes.

I find them a bit cringey myself, unless they serve a specific purpose to the plot, but that's very rare.
I know it was a while ago but I never watched it at the time. I've just been working my way through it while recovering from surgery and I'm loving it. Being from South Wales, it's very "familiar". I love all the characters and the chemistry they have with each other.
I'm currently on series 5 so I'm getting towards the end now (no spoilers).
Anyone else who liked this show?
Spotted in Accessorize Birmingham.
Just seen a comment in another sub from someone saying that they went out with their partner to a gig and said partner got really shitty with them, because they thought the OP was attracted to the performer. Something to do with how they were sat apparently! Cue a lot of texting back and forth and their partner telling them it was all their fault!
I'm not saying all relationships are like this, but still, I am so glad to have my peace as a singleton!
You may recall that I recently asked if anyone was interested in a Discord server aimed specifically at childfree people in the UK.
I've had a lot going on since then so there has been a slight delay, but after the positive reaction to my last post, I have decided to set it up. There are just three main conditions to join, you must be childfree (of course), over 18 and from the UK.
If you're interested, please drop me a message. :)
Help a depressed girl out.
Not only was it awful, brain-dead television, but it was notorious for exploiting and abusing the vulnerable in front of an audience, lying about the accuracy of lie detector tests, stigmatising addiction and mental health issues, demonising the working class ...all in the name of "entertainment".
This show was huge in the late 00s and 10s. I couldn't stand it myself, I just found it absolutely grating even before I realised how problematic it was. I always thought Kyle himself was an absolute wanker too, and the intervening years have only solidified my prior assessment of him.
It was finally cancelled in 2019 after fourteen years on air, following the suicide of a guest (and of course Kyle made it all about him).

There was an interesting documentary made about it a few years ago, which exposed a lot of the appalling behind the scenes stuff that was going on.
Why do people think this is a gotcha? First of all, not everyone does think like us (you're never going to get 100% of people to agree on anything), so it's a moot point. But also, so what if the human race dies out? We would all be dead and therefore have no capacity to care, and frankly I'm not the biggest fan of our species anyway. I don't think it would be such a bad thing if we allowed ourselves to go extinct voluntarily, but there's more chance of hell freezing over than that.
Preferably ones with a happy ending. Thanks in advance. 😊
I have more, but this sub will only let me post one image.
Having a bad mental health day so just stuck this on in the hope that it'll make me feel a bit better! Not seen this one before.
Just stumbled on an old Reddit thread and saw this.
