Only affects certain aspects of the game, not everything. But like majority of the game is red lol. Also I don't have this issue with other games, just this one.

Currently playing catch up with IDW, bit confused lol

Title kinda says it all. I'm not the kinda person who can immediately start a second playthrough of a game, especially if I put in a ton of hours. But I sorta miss the game, but idk how same or different it will feel. Or even good or bad different. Just kinda want to hear people's thoughts.

Soo yeah, I actually like the very hated lockpicking minigame.

I mean at first I HATED it. Even once I started to kinda understand it, I found it frustrating and time consuming. I even used one of those online cheats to give me the combo/instructions.

But after a while, I realized Gothic isn't a game you need or should just rush through. It's okay to take your time getting into the mechanics and exploring. So the time consuming aspect kinda went away for me.

I also realized the more I messed with it, the better I understood it. Even those lockbreaker cheat websites kinda helped me better understand it (kinda like seeing the work that gives the answer). I started to find the challenge quite fun, and easier over time. I only ever upgraded my lockpicking skill once!

Now, I don't think it's flawless. BOY, IS IT FLAWED! The update that provided XP was a nice touch, and the added difficulty icons were... a nice attempt (they seem deceiving sometimes).

Now I'm no game dev, but I'm a game enjoyer... a gamer, if you will lmao. But here is my ideas to kinda make it more enjoyable.

- Better loot. Nothing gamebreaking, but do better than 2 arrows, an apple, and a big ol "fuck you".

- Add a "Force Lock" feature similar to other games. Depending on lock difficulty and skill training, there is a certain % chance that it'll auto-unlock or break your pick. (Maybe after training your Lockpicking to 2, a book will spawn in Xardas's bedroom that'll give you Lockpicking 3. It won't change much from level 2, but will give a bonus increase to Force Lock % chance.)

- Randomize the locks. Now hold on, I know those who've been recording every combo for every lock won't like this. But I think it adds more variety and better engaging gameplay, if that makes sense? The "lockbreaker" websites could still be used here, and if the loot is improved, it could be more worthwhile.

I really hope this mini-game doesn't get entirely removed in an update or the potential Gothic 2 Remake. Changes and improvements, definetly. But please don't purge it.

Anyways, I'd like to hear other's thoughts on how this system could be improved for more to enjoy, rather than rip away the whole thing.

We need an official Cheese, Chocola, Hero Chao, and Omochao.

Throw in Dark Chao, normal Chao, and Golden Chao, and make it a 7 pack for like $30-$35. Easy money Jakks.

A bit over a week ago, I made a post asking what kinda playsets would fit with my sons 2.5in Jakks Mario figures, as I'm more familiar with Jakks Sonic figures myself lol (I do have one 4inch Dry Bones tho lol).

Out of all the great suggestions, this one seemed like the best fit, and it came with Bowser! So thanks to everyone here!! (plus he gained a few more characters too)

I'll have to keep an eye out for more unique characters, as I usually pick them up from Walmart and Dollar Generals I deliver to for work lol

I get that those who've only played Skyrim may not know TES is (or used to be) an RPG before it was turned into an RPG-lite action adventure, but this conversation is so dead and redundant.

Protags can be whatever the fuck you want them to be. Your canon protag can be a 8 foot tall, time-traveling mudcrab femboy with knives for legs, that's sick as fuck. They can be whoever you want them to be, who cares.

No, trailer/marketing placeholders arn't the "official canon" but you can use them to base your headcanon around.

Also I see alot of mentions about Dragon Breaks. There is ALOT of misinformation/misconceptions surrounding Dragon Breaks in this community. There arn't that many known in lore, nor do they work in a way that represent "alternate timelines" or every minor choice you make. I highly suggest checking out this video by Snowy City and/or reading the related article on UESP.

Edit 3: Skyrim is an amazing game, but hardly an RPG compared to the rest of the series or other popular RPGs. Attributes, classes, star signs, races actually making a difference, are all gone. The skills are watered down. Player agency is pretty minimal/lackluster. There is little to no consequences or benefits for choices, when presented with the few the game actually has. Guilds/factions have no actual requirements and you can go from newbie to the leader within an hour of fetch-questing. Custom spells are gone, the magic system in Skyrim is pretty horrible in general. Weapon choices are pretty much for aesthetic. The last two points are why everyone plays stealth archer, it's the only interesting gameplay style in this game.

Edit 4: at the time of writing this, this post is 19hrs old with almost 1.5k upvotes and over 250 comments. No need to stop the discussion, but I'm not gonna read your 5 paragraph essay about how I'm "wrong" while you regurgitate the same bullshit as the last guy who was downvoted and proven wrong. Go ahead and comment, I won't stop you. But I really can't be bothered to waste my time engaging with the same exact arguements over and over bc you can't read the other comments.

Plus the default amounts are set to send most to IDW and Humble, barely anything to the charity. Tho I know Humble does usually let you customize this.

Anyways, I almost got this so I can keep what I don't have, and give the rest to my little brother who's been getting into Sonic.

But instead this is essentially just asking for charity donation (although they hope you give most to IDW and Humble) for something that's already free.

Hi! So I'm not actually a collector of Jakks Mario toys (I only own a 4in Dry Bones), I do have a decently large collection of Jakks Sonic toys.

Anyways, these belong to my kid who really like these 2.5in Mario toys by Jakks. I was wondering if there were any cool playsets my son could use these with, that are not suuuuper expensive and decently matched in scale. But any and all recommendations are appreciated!!

Unfortunatly it wasn't off the shelves for retail price... but the eBay seller dropped the price heavily for me to be not far off from retail, so I still avoided crazy scalper prices.

Had to go with eBay bc the closest stores to me that sell Jakks Sonic are 2hrs drive away, after my local Walmart clearanced them out and replaced them with other toys.

I wish they'd release more Sega and IDW characters. Hopium has convinced me the line is just on a hiatus with all the 35th Anni stuff.

Imagine we get NiGHTS, Ulala, Alex Kidd, Samba, Billy Hatcher, Beat, Axel and/or B.D. Joe, Opa Opa, and Akira Yuki for Sega.

For IDW we need Whisper, Starline, Surge, Kit, Mimic, and Lanolin. Even "Gadget" would be really cool.

Assuming it'd be via the Sega line, I'd love if they dropped more Sega characters too! Samba, NiGHTS, Alex Kidd, etc.
