Thinking about making a DnD table with this 90" tv. Thoughts?

I'm the IT director for my company and we are moving offices soon. This 90" advertisement tv that we were using as a conference room tv wont be moving with us. This is a 12 year old model and only gets to 1080p so its not great as a tv. But i think it could have a new home as a massive DnD table.

Ive only played a few DnD oneshots, the last being with a false hydra. But figure someone would want such a table. Or at least the tv for a table.

Could probably find a pane of glass large enough to place over it as protection.

Runners Review: Fitbit Charge 6 v. Garmin VivoSmart 5 v. Smasung Galaxy Fit 1

This specific review test all 3 models at the same time, but I have used all devices separately as well. I am seeking to replace my Samsung Galaxy Fit 1 and retain all features from before the device was set to EOL. All my Samsung review portions will be PRIOR to EOL, but I will note if that feature is now broken.

The required feature set is a fitness tracker that can track runs and give easy, quick access to information of a in-progress run, and complete after run summeries. I will be choosing a winner in a number of feature sets that I feel are most important in a fitness tracker for running.

All Devices were updated to their most current firmware as of August 1^(st) 2026, as were their connected apps. No subscriptions were activated for any apps.

Apps for each device:

Fitbit – Google Health App

Garmin – Garmin Connect App

Samsung – Samsung Health

Voice Cues: An audio cue through headphones that gives updates throughout the run.

  • Fitbit – Voice cues do not work when a workout is started via the watch. Gives time for every mile given when started via app but the run does not display information on the watch. No other information is available to be heard.
  • Garmin – N/A Vibration only for this device
  • Samsung – Runs started via app or watch have voice cues. Total distance/duration/steps, HR, current distance/pace/speed can be set to be heard. Splits can be set via distance or time.  (Currently broken when started via watch as distance cannot sync)

Winner: Samsung

Ease of seeing information during a run:

  • Fitbit – Have to swipe through multiple screens to see data. Distance and time are further down this swipe list. Does not show info when started via app.
  • Garmin – Shows distance, current time, HR in one screen.
  • Samsung – Shows distance, current time, HR in one screen. (currently broken if started through app)

Winner: Tie: Garmin and Samsung

Ease of starting a run: How easily can I start a run, can I set a goal?

  • Fitbit – Multiple swipes to get to workout, and required to scroll through a workout list. Cannot rearrange position of the works outs to make this faster. Can start via app easy enough. Goals can only be set as brand new activity types via app. Once set they can be chosen.
  • Garmin – Push button to open menu, select activities, then select the activity. Not immediately intuitive to push button in my opinion. No option to start via app. Can rearrange the activities to bring running to the top.
  • Samsung – Can set to be one swipe to activity list. Can rearrange workout list to bring running to the top. Can start via App. Goals can be set via app, after selecting run you can choose a distance and have the workout stop once the goal is it, or to continue. It remembers what your last goal was and sets it as the default for the next run.

Winner: Samsung

Visibility: Can I see the watch in the middle of the sun?

  • Fitbit – Very Bright, very easy to see
  • Garmin – High contrast, but the white is a bit harder to see in direct sunlight.
  • Samsung – Could be brighter but visible.

Winner: Fitbit

Shake to Wake: Move my wrist to see the screen.

  • Fitbit – Takes a second or two to appear but consistently works.
  • Garmin – Immediately wakes on shake.
  • Samsung – Works 75% of the time, and other times too sensitive and kills battery.

Winner: Garmin

Run Information: What info is displayed to me after a run – this is more on the app than the watch admittedly.

  • Fitbit – Time, Pace, map, and hr info available. Cannot see what your max and min HR was. Map shown at top, summery requires you to scroll.
  • Garmin – Shows weather, time, map, pace, HR. Does not show min HR. To see HR at certain times of the run you have to use a pinch and zoom screen (imo bad design). Do not need to scroll for summery.
  • Samsung – Time**,** Map, pace, HR. Has minimum HR and can tap on the graph to see what your HR was at what time.

Winner: Tie: Samsung – thanks to ease of HR tracking. Garmin for including weather data.

Bonus: Tap to pay

  • Fitbit – yes
  • Garmin – n/a
  • Samsung – n/a

Winner: Fitbit

Final Verdict: At current, even with the depreciated feature set, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 1 comes out on top. The voice cues are unfortunately a deal breaker for both the fitbit and the garmin. I’m happy to revisit the fitbit if voice cues work for workouts started via app, or if the app pushes a started workout to the device. The other items I could bear with if that were the case.
The garmin unfortunately does not have what I need.

Galaxy fit 1 since 2019 - distance tracking when activity started from watch has stopped working. Is there a fix?

Hey all

I love everything about my fit 1. However about 2 years ago when starting any distance based workout from the watch distance is no longer tracked. I always have my phone on me. It is always connected via Bluetooth. I have wiped the device and have reinstalled the app to no avail.

If I start the workout via the Samsung Health app then distance is tracked fine along with HR, however doing it this way doesn't set the watch to workout mode - so I can't see my progress at a glance via the watch anymore. Not ideal.

I seem to be having the same issue as this person. https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyFit/comments/1efm4zw/after_recent_update_syncing_is_still_bugged/

Would love to get the original functionality of my watch back. I've tried the fitbit charge 6 and Garmin vivosmart5 and both are lacking in functionality compared to Samsung somehow.

Thanks.

I'm a 10 year player whos always been casual so im not sure what people want but i have a lot of other mons. The rarer mons I'd want to trade for more than one pokemon on my list.
I cannot fly, the trader would need to fly to me.

Psycho driver. No wonder people die on Rt. 81

License plate DWN4FAM. Real family man over here. Risking everyone’s lives, including his own, because he was delayed for about 60 seconds. Clearly not in a hurry too if he has time to do this.

I started buying hot wheels again after 25 years and before I knew it I had a collection. How do you guys go about displaying sealed cars?

Should I even bother to keep them sealed? I don't care much about sealed as I just buy what I like. But if there's a reasonable way to showcase the cars with their art I'd love to know how!

The two 8 car boxes are a mix of different boxes together. I give what ever I don't want to my wife to give to children that pass by her job. I buy them from thrift shops too so some are pretty beatup.

Cannot post Image post to ANY subreddit, not even my own profile.

I can only post images to the body like below. When posting inages to the body it does not appear as an image post on a subreddit so this doesnt fix the issue.
I Am not using the desktop site on a mobile device. I exlusively use reddit on desktop PCs. Ive had this account for 13 years or so, so its not a matter of karma.
Even when im on the home page and click the create button I still cannot post any image posts.
This is true on multiple different computers on different networks.

help is appreciated.

No way to set voiced mile alerts during runs? Also can't make sense of this data

This is my first run using a fitbit charge 6. Previously I was on s Samsung Galaxy fit for 7 years.

Is there no way to set a voiced, or at least vibration notice that I've hit a mile? I don't see a setting for this, really the Google health app seems sparce for features.

And this test run I did has odd timing on it. I ran for 11 minutes, but it's telling mey pace was a 9:30? I def wasn't running that fast. My watch did randomly buzz asking me if I wanted to end the run hf way through but I don't see why that would affect the times.

Appreciate the help

Looking to replace my fitness tracker, could use recommendations based on my needs.

Hi all, appreciate any input.

Ive used a samsung galaxy fit 1 for about 7 years now. I love this thing to death and even revived it once by combining mine and another broken one when the screen stopped working.

Sadly the samsung health app REALLY doesnt want me using this thing anymore. You cant start workouts from the watch any longer - wont track in app. If its disconnected for more than a few hours it becomes a pain to try and get it paired again. And the battery life has degraded.
My only criticism is that I wish it could change my workouts from when i do long walks that transition into my runs. I have to manually end the workout and start a run.

I LOVE this tracker as it is tiny. I dont want large screen watches and the new galaxy Fit bands all have comparatively massive screens.

I require a small or no screen, no base features behind subscriptions, and most importantly receive notifications for calls and text, even if vibrations only.

The Polar loop seemed to have fit my needs, However if you manually start a workout the app still creates a second workout due to the auto-tracking. Seems like its Polar ecosystem issue.

The fitbit air also seemed to fit my needs but it doesnt support notifications.

The fitbit inspire 3 seems like it may fit the bill as basically a direct replacement but i want to know what others are using.

thank you again
