they talk like we are still in 2024 "ai makes a lot of bugs" "you can't code good software with ai"

"ai code is unmaintainable" .

ignoring windows ,linux kernel and distros like debian,chromium.

and projects that would have never been possible without ai like anyps5 or artcraft adobe clones ,are being activtly made using ai now.

so why do people or redditors specifically deny ai code is very good now? they seem to think ai will delete all your data if you give it control on your pc. even tho that doesn't happen since literal months ago.

and some other apps i don't really use.

my controller is some generic(no/fake brand) usb only(wired) ps5 lookalike. it works instantly without driver install on both windows and linux. so i think it presents itself as xinput .

however problem is pressing l2 or r2 makes for strong haptic feedback which i want to turn off. feedback exists even on ubuntu desktop itself with no games or apps open.

and same thing in cyberpunk 2077(running in faugus launcher flatpak with latest ge proton)

i want a way to turn hapic feedback off in system wide ubuntu 26.

i tried turning off vibration in cyberpunk settings but it didn't affect it so its a system thing.

(im a new linux user pls don't just suggest complex terminal stuff)

note: this problem didn't exist in windows so don't suggest controller itself is broken.

im thinking purist because it doesn't have clear date for a windows version.

i only used it on windows. and my country doesn't work without stealth. so does proton vpn have stealth on ubuntu?

1 using faugus launcher for pirating games on linux. can i install and run fitgirl repacks and dodi ones? can i apply rune updates over them in linux?

2 can i run hypervisor games ? and if so are they open source so i can verify they are safe for me,and make sure they will run in few years if specific proton version they were made for gets old? (obv games aren't open source ,i mean the linux hypervisor implementation itself)

3 can i run gog games?

4 can i run steamrip and ankergames games? (pre installed games in general)

note: i know fitgirl uwp games like forza horizon 3 are flat out impossible to run in linux. i understand that. so uwp games are out. what else types of games are out?

this question is to people who left windows completely and daily drive linux now. im asking because i want to know if linux is good for me or not.

im thinking that in distros that update kernel fast like arch or fedora,my gtx 1650 driver would break a lot and need dkms ,and if my gpu stops being stops being supported(which i don't think would take long for my gpu) then i can't use it the second dkms can't fix it right?

im not sure whether my thinking about this is correct or not. im coming from windows 11 pov where gpu is expected to work even if its support dropped(until some new windows flatly doesn't accept your driver,which didn't happen to me with windows 11,so i think 12 could do it?)

i think it will be good,but will take many years until it reaches that point. but after that making newer nvidia gpus work with it will be easier.

like devs ignoring package managers such as pacman dnf apt all that and only giving a flatpak

im interested in how you all see it. i personally think its more freeing them from windows platforum. since games don't normally update their directx or apis to new ones once they release. so if they work at all they should work fine forever(unless dev adds some windows specific drm later)
