Hi! Canadian here. I was looking at particulate matter, specifically PM10 (inhalable coarse particulate matter with a diameter of 10 micrometers or less).

Usually this is from forest fires, industrial pollution, or chronically polluting cities, and it's rare to see an entire island lit up like this without there being a reason.

I couldn't find anything when I searched for news; what's up with the air here?
