What happened with COS Gas Prices compared to the national average??

I'm not here to complain about gas prices or the reasons for them. I'm just genuinely interested on what caused Colorado to jump way ahead of the nation average? Blend change? We've historically been a few cents cheaper than the national average (Blue Line)

What's a good place to go to for a weekend getaway?

A friend of mine recently lost her mother and I want to take her somewhere for the weekend. She lived with her and needs to get out of the house. Somewhere quiet to just relax for a few days. Preferably very close. Thanks!

Pikes Peak summit

My husband, teenage son and I are visiting soon, and plan to visit the summit of Pikes Peak via the shuttle service. I have an extreme fear of heights. Anyone have insight or experience on how “bad” it is from the perspective of fear of heights? Do people have panic attacks, pass out, get sick or other unpleasant symptoms of fear of heights? Gathering info about what to expect helps me prepare for facing my fear, but I also need to decide if this excursion is a smart choice for myself. Thanks.

Coffin Races/City Council

Watching the work session from May 12th...

they believe the event that has been going on for 30 years now is now at a huge risk for some kind of political/terrorist attack and has decided we need 1 cop for every 100 attendees. the cost on that is ridiculous and they are considering cancelling the event bc they cant guarantee safety/theyre worried about a lawsuit if something happens.

i think theyre bored narcissists who think they should be able to dictate the lives of others bc they dont have one of their own.

what are your thoughts?

Reddit repeatedly deleting my anti-data center posts....

Reddit has deleted my posts multiple times regarding the data center town hall this evening. Anyway, im going to keep posting and encouraging all who can, to attend. If this data center gets pushed through. It has larger implications, and won't be the last one. It sets the precedent that Colorado Springs residents will accept these atrocities with huge power and water demands, as long as nobody makes noise about it. Developers are counting on people not showing up. Peter Thiel is pumping billions into pro-data center propaganda, so it will be an uphill battle. Prove them wrong! Our city is not something that can just be carved up behind closed doors for corporate expansion!

Rainy day so I decided I’d stay on the porch, grab a two by six and learn the old bonk. Well wouldn’t you know despite all my gear for safety I think ( the amazing ketamine giving nurse said) blew my Achilles. I loved the short trip but this shit sucks. I didn’t even get enough distance for it to count on my daily thing.

Wish me good thoughts fellow floaters

Hey there, today I saw a Gray Hyundai Santa Fe use police sirens and flashing blue and red lights at the top of their front windshield on I-25 today. Flashed and used audible sirens at a person speeding past them on the right while they sat in the left lane, almost like they were trying to entrap. The Hyundai followed them until they got over into the right lane and then when it looked like the car was going to pull over and stop completely the Hyundai got back into the middle lane and turned off their lights.

Is there any possible simpler explanation other than this is a person who’s police impersonating? I’ve googled Colorado laws and it seems like the answer is yes, and if found the car could be impounded.

I have the license plate, is there any point in calling this in at all?

Went to the dump on my Onewheel today and got refused service for not having a county sticker. The guy said I needed a sticker issued to my car. No other way around it. I then made a trip to the country office and ask if the one wheel counted as a vehicle. 🚗 Surprisingly they approved it and issued me a sticker. The people in the office had a laugh about it. About a hour later I returned to the dump with my sticker and dropped off my used oil and coolant! :D

Saw it this morning when I stepped out the front door for my morning run. I live north of the OCC area near Thorndale park. I know there was a recent sighting near the library not far from here. Might keep an extra eye on your pets if you're in the area.

(edit: Should have mentioned I already reached out to CPW)

I’m looking for two women who climbed the incline around the same time as me on Saturday, 4/25. They were in town from Georgia and one of them it was her 43rd birthday. They helped me and my husband when I fell on the way down and broke my ankle. I never got their names and would like to thank them.

Also the search and rescue team who carried my sorry ass down Barr trail were amazing if anyone knows any of them send them my eternal gratitude. 💛

my name is Papaw Frawg and i am the founder of INCLINE PALS

i got a message from one of the facebook pages, "Living in 80829" asking me to limit my posts there to twice a week becasue

"Everyone picks up trash we just dont take pictures"

I call BULLSHIT, yes i said it,

see all those people walking over the trash outside the restrooms?

yea it happens daily, people are self absorbed and just used to walking over used toilet paper.

I AM BEING THE CHANGE I WANT TO SEE

i have asked for OFFICIAL designation so that i can more easily recruit people to help my cause that is not funneling money to a private charity with a cute name.

I am there daily doing what i can to make a difference

I will continue to be there each and every day bending over and picking up what so many people just walk right over.

if you want to support the INCLINE PALS please join in and LEAVE NO TRACE

photo yourself being the solution and the wifey will make you a graphic for your shirt or a sticker for your car?

inclinepals on facebook

https://www.youtube.com/@constitutionalinfidel

that is my media channel. I AM MEDIA. i am a first amendment investigator among other things.

but yeah look at the pic, thats 30 people that ignored the trash. im there daily doing my clean sweep and very few people actually do anything to benefit the hill they claim to love so much.

be the change you want to see in this world

leave no trace
