if you don't know Hastur… Consider yourself lucky! As one of the great old ones from the Lovecraft mythos, he is one of the most ancient cosmic horror entities out there. Rather than brawn and overwhelming power, Hastur enjoys seducing, manipulating, and corrupting his victims. He presides over a cursed theater in a city that shouldn't exist and drives people mad just by being known about, so if you ever happen to wander across a book titled, “The King in Yellow,” don’t read it whatever you do! Though… Now that you even know his name, it might be too late... 🦑 👻
If you’re still reading, and have some how managed to survive Hastur’s corruption, let’s talk art! I had a lot of fun with this one. the perspective on the floor tiles, the tentacles creeping in from every corner, that warm ominous lighting inviting you further into his domain! I really feel like this piece was a level up moment for me, especially with the colors.
