I think my aid was put in consideration for my ED college

I was straight out rejected from a t50 need blind college after doing ED. I was kinda surprised because I got waitlisted from three t50 during the regular decision round.

I think my aid was put in consideration because I am a us citizen living abroad. I received my portal at early november and I needed to submit everything before NOV 15. Also when I email to admission officer they mentioned that aid for international is limited.

Was my aid taken in consideration? Should I sent an email to confirm?

I just spilled water on my new g14

I bought it 2 months ago to use it for college. Today I was cleaning the keyboard and I spilled my glass of water in all of the keyboard. What should I do? The laptop was fully turn off when it happened. I flipped the laptop into an inverted v and put it above a towel because gemini told me

Edit: I am gonna start college on the 31st and I can’t afford another laptop as it was a gift from my grandparents

How bad will affect me to transfer in spring 2027?

I am starting college fall 2026, and I am applying to TCU for spring 2027. If accepted I am thinking about attending because a lot of people from my country attends there and it has good parties. The reason I am asking this question is because TCU is not my first option I want to attend a well regarded college to study applied mathematics such as CWRU. How bad it would affect me to transfer on spring 2027 if I am planning to transfer again?

Forgot to mention I am us citizen but I grew up abroad

Is aid good for transfer students?

I was rejected after being deferred of EA. It was a surprice because I was expecting atleast a waitlist after being waitlisted from Santa Clara University, Case Western, and University of Florida. My HS stats at the moment of applying were 3.1 gpa ( now 3.3) and 1340 sat. Also I didn’t submit a loci after being deferred and didn’t send my css. Maybe they rejected me due to a lack of interest.

I am applying as a transfer for spring 2027 and wanted to know if they give good aid. I can only afford 15k per year + the max pell grant and federal loans. My father income is around 150k before taxes. Considering my father income I am scared of how much is gonna cost me. Someone know if it can become affordable?

Edit: I just did the npc and will get 50k aid. I still can’t afford it but I will if I get the transfer tcu scholarship of 25k. What are the requirements for that scholarship?

Will I be judge the same as a new applicant?

I was waitlisted and got rejected last week. I just reactivated my app to transfer for fall 2027. Will I be judged the same way as someone who is his first time applying to transfer?

Influence my college list for fall 27 and help me to prepare.

I am an incoming freshman at a liberal arts college. I want to transfer because my current institution doesn't have the program I want: Biomedical/electrical engineering or a rigorous applied math program.

I am not sad to attend this institution because I already have friends who attend. I attend this institution with a open heart and trying to get the best out of it.

My HS stats are 3.3 gpa ( 3.87 senior gpa ) 1340 sat taken the summer before my senior year.

I can only afford 15k per year but have the max pell grant

This is my list of colleges I want to apply for fall 2027(the first 5 are in order of preference).

  1. Tulane University

  2. Boston College

  3. Boston University

  4. Case Western Reserve University ( Was waitlisted, and I am reactivating my application)

  5. Wake forest university

  6. Umiami

  7. Lehigh

  8. Vanderbilt

  9. USC

  10. Villanova

If you are thinking why tulane is my first option is because

  1. Party school

  2. New orleans

  3. Father lives in louisiana

  4. great bme program

  5. Got friends there

  6. Great location to visit family and friends in different cities

What to do on fall to have a solid chance of transferring?

I am gonna start college this fall as an undecided major because I can only declare on my second year but I want to major in either math or biomedical engineering.

I will take on my first year

Fall

Physics 1
Discrete Math
Intro to cs
Weird liberal arts course

Spring

Physics 2
Calc III
Idk
Idk

I applied ED last fall and was rejected. My hs stats are 3.3 gpa (3.1 when applying) and a 1340 sat ( not submitted).

my whole application was based on studying BME.

My reason to transferring is because my school, a t100 liberal arts, doesn’t offer the rigorous courses I want to take, also my father lives in lousiana and I wanna be close to him.

My goal is to work on mathematical modeling and also have a solid foundation of what it is mathematics. I will achieve this by taking the hardest courses available and then do a masters degree in applied mathematics ( I would love do it at tulane).

What should I aim on my first semester to have a solid chance on being accepted for fall 2027?

Can I apply for spring 2027 as a transfer? if yes should I do it?

I was waitlisted after applying rd.

I am enrolling on a 4 year institution and will be majoring in applied math. I will have 28 credits finishing my first semester. 12 from ap courses ( Calc BC and span lang) and 16 from college.

My current institution accept a 4 on calc bc while CWRU only accepts a 5. I will be taking multivariable calc on spring so Idk how is gonna affect if I apply for spring and I get accepted.

It is possible to apply for spring 2027 if I am starting college right now?

I am gonna take discrete mathematics, what should I know before hand?

I am gonna start college on fall of this year. I am gonna be an applied math major and my first math course will be discrete math, I got ap calc bc credits but I will calc 3 until spring.

My knowledge from calc 2 is pretty basic I really don’t know how I got a 4 on the test.

What should I know before starting college?

Can I bring alcohol to the US?

I am a us citizen but I am 100% latino. I have lived abroad all my life.

In my country there is a rum that is more expensive in the US.

Can I bring it when I travel to study? I am gonna start as a freshman

Establishing residency as a us citizen living abroad

I am a current HS senior who lives internationally but I am a US citizen. I don’t have residency in any state. I am gonna attend augustana college to study applied math.

I was wondering if I can establish residency on illinois to later attend UIUC as a transfer student.

How does my freshman courses affect my chances of transferring for fall 27?

My HS stats are 3.3 gpa (3.9senior) 1340 with rigorous coursework

- Ap physics 1, Ap Bio, AP Calc Ab (took BC exam), ap environmental science and ap Spanish language

Took Ap calc AB, physics, and bio during my senior year. Averaging 95 in calc, 87 physics, 83 Bio.

I only took four test

11th grade: AB (4) APES (1) Spanish Lang (4)
12th grade: BC (4)

- Took AB while in pre calc.

Didn’t took biology and physics because I wasn’t gonna get credits for physics ( I would only get for calculus-based physics) and I didn’t need Bio credit.

I am planning to double major in applied/pure math and statistics/ cs.

I already got my freshman fall 2026 schedule

- Foundational physics 1
- intro to computer science
- Intro to anthropology
- First year course required to graduate.

On spring 2027 I am planning to take

- Multivariable Calculus
- Discrete Mathematics
- Foundational physics 2
-Undecided

I couldn’t take calc 3 or discrete math on fall due to classes being full.

Will taking those courses affect my chances on transferring to a t50 for fall 2027?

I am planning to apply to these schools.

  1. Vanderbilt
  2. Notre dame
  3. Boston University
  4. Tufts
  5. Northeastern
  6. Lehigh University
  7. Wake Forest University
  8. Emory University
  9. University of Miami
  10. Tulane University

I am prioritizing tulane out of all of them due to family.

Passed calc bc self studying unit 9-10 two weeks before the exam🤑🤑🤑

Almost failed algebra 1 and 2, and didn’t took geometry. I started self-studying calculus back in 11th grade to prove myself I could be good at math ( got a 4 in calc ab), now I can say to myself that I have done it🥳

Heading to college to study applied mathematics, something that I couldn’t even think off when I was a sophomore.

If I could do it everybody can do it!
