I want to ask a fashion question without asking a specific clothing item

‘What jacket or outerwear of some kind do you where in an office that’s actually warm?’

Basically all work cardigans that look good are never warm and my office is freezing.

But the fashion pages I find you have to post a pic of an outfit or something

Annoying that several stores have a ‘curved’ section but it’s not actually for curved people it’s just another way of saying plus size

I get it, they’re trying to avoid saying ‘plus size’ but it’s entirely inaccurate to call it curved, that’s two different things.

When you view a notification/message on a site or app and it still acts like you have a notification

It really irks me to see that red dot or red number 1.

Like sometimes this happens with Facebook messenger or with teams you sometimes have to view it three times.

I’m not a software engineer, idk how hard it is, but darn it just make it work right

Lots of people think wanting attention is a bad thing, I don’t think it is.

*if you disagree, you can do so nicely. No reason to be rude, we can keep this friendly*

First off yeah, if you set fires or act out for attention, not good. If you’re super obvious about it then pretend you weren’t looking for it, kind of annoying.

But in general, it’s not bad. So what if I want other people to think I look nice or am doing great at something? That’s natural.

It’s natural to want others to think well of you and/or be attracted to you. As long as you don’t put others down or completely change your personality in order to do that, who cares?

Some people can say approval comes from within and they don’t care at all what others think of them. Some of those people are lying and for the rest, well, good for them. But it’s natural and not bad for others to care.

And i’ll even take it one step further, this one might be a lot more divisive. Even if a woman dresses more provocatively, it may (or totally may not) be for the male gaze. But it’s not an invitation to ogle or say creepy things or assume she’ll jump into bed with you. You can glance, that’s natural, just don’t be weird about it

When decently nice restaurants have horrible thin toilet paper

Idk how much money that’s saving them, but it pisses me off a little. Idk if they do this at like fancy expensive restaurants, and I can more so excuse it at hole in the wall restaurants. But if I’m paying $30 for pasta or something and the place looks nice and slightly fancy, don’t ruin it with horrible horrible toilet paper that’s see through and thin and feels bad

Men often say ‘we don’t care about things like high heels and nail polish and lashes’ but I think they don’t realize how much it adds to beauty overall

Some men say they don’t really care about that stuff, that women do it for themselves and other women.

But I think they don’t realize how much it adds to overall appeal.

I think if they were shown a pic of a girl side to side and the girl was wearing the same thing but the other girl had a lash lift, mascara, blush, lipgloss, high heels, even nail polish and jewelry, they would definitely say she’s more attractive.

Just my random opinion, feel free to nicely disagree

When you complain about something about a show and people are like “you know it’s just a show, right?” Or “if you hate it stop watching it”

You can complain about some aspects while still loving it overall!

And yeah duh I know it’s fiction, doesn’t matter.

Pen people ask for opinions on Reddit but clearly sway the crowd with something like “everyone says they hate my painting:/ what do you think?”

Why even post if you don’t want honest feedback? That very obviously will get you ‘no girl you’re amazing, screw the haters!’

This is just an example but there’s so many like this. ‘I love this wedding dress but my parents don’t, thoughts?’ ‘My ex said I’m unlovable, am I?’ Stuff like that.

Look, I sometimes want attention too, that’s not a bad thing. I sometimes want a lift me up. But you don’t have to cloak it. There are other subs for that

When people don’t really title their posts with their subject, i.e. ‘I’m going to piss some people off with this but…’

Or ‘is it just me?’ Then the actual thing in the body text.

Somewhat similarly and also annoying, when AITA titles are wildly misleading, like ‘aita for screaming at my wife in front of our kid’ then it turns out the wife beat him up and tried to hit the kids or something.

Those ones I think are probably bots or karma phishing or something, like many of them are

Why in the world does union station not have any seating in the gigantic most empty area where people, sometimes with luggage, await ubers/taxis/etc?

The only thing that comes to mind is the answer that people often give when there is not enough benches anywhere: ‘they don’t want to deal with homeless population taking over’. But it makes even less sense here than it does in other places.

It’s indoors and there’s already security there. People need to sit.

The few measly seats are attached to the cafe/fast food places and are only allowed for people that ordered.

Seriously, why?

When a video platform doesn’t have the option to mute the sound and you have to actually turn your phone volume all the way down

This is why I watch tik tok when it makes its way to Instagram. YouTube has been weird about it too recently.

It’s really odd that they don’t have a button for it. Turning down my volume is a tiny little hassle, and I sometimes forget to put it back up when I’m done.

Possibly why there’s so many obnoxious people in public playing their videos for the world to hear. Jk they could just get $5 headphones they’re just selfish

When a short video shows ‘before’ and ‘after’ clips and the before is too long

I’m talking like 30-60 seconds on Instagram or TikTok. Things like ‘my dog before vs after getting a cat’ and before is complication of clips of him being bored and after is him playing with cat or something, or like ‘before I told my bf I love him vs after’ or something.

Clearly they have to show more than one clip to drive it home, but when it goes on longer than 10/15 seconds it’s annoying. We get it, move on the the after.

And yes I know 30 seconds of my life won’t kill me and isn’t actually a long time 😅 it’s just a little annoying

It’s really weird and it feels weird. Most people don’t do that. It often is used when they’re being condescending or during fights, or when a salesman over uses it.

It’s just uncomfortable

Very specific lol but it’s annoying. A lot of tv shows’ episodes have titles that don’t immediately give away which episode it is. And this is coming from someone who frequently watches shows over and over
