Anyone in this same situation?

I started dating this guy and he told me he has/had Bipolar, but at the same time told me the doctor “mistakenly” diagnosed him. What are the odds that a doctor would diagnose you with a serious condition by mistake? He did say he has seasonal depression. He said he was diagnosed with it when he was younger. Has anyone experience this from their significant other?

Has it happened that you upload a photo and it’s not seen on your Snapchat icon?

I was just testing uploading pics and then usually it would show the latest snap you had uploaded but this time, it didn’t. Any experience?

Have you ever introduced your partner to your narc parents?

My mom is probably the root of all evil in our family. By default, we should follow everything she wants and become what she wants us to be. If not, we’re bad kids.
She’s inconsistent and unpredictable. Whenever I highly like something, I observed that she would discourage me about it. I grew up with her not allowing me to do things and without giving any context. Most likely a projection. I was never allowed to have a boyfriend and even when I was done in university at 21 years old, hanging out with a male friend means they will explode from anger because how dare I.
It gives me anxiety thinking that I would need to introduce my boyfriend to them someday especially we want to get married and I will move to his country. It causes me stress sometimes because my mom wants us to be successful, but not more successful than her which means she would prefer it if you’d always need her help and you’re within arm’s reach - because she loves the control. I’m actually embarrassed of her and my dad. Probably because if I didn’t move out, I wouldn’t have learned so many things on my own. At my age (almost 30), they would still snap or explode from anger whenever. Just a few months ago, I moved into their apartment that they own (I’m living alone) where I would pay them the rent, I shipped back their stuff to them and my mom messaged me calling me “a child who doesn’t care about her parents” because I should just have their stuff here and I’m a bad child because I basically think of their house as a “garbage bin” because I shipped back their stuff so they can have them as I don’t need them in this apartment. I literally forgot how narcissistic my mom is because I haven’t live with them for a while, but wow, I didn’t expect that at this age. This even causes me anxiety now whenever my boyfriend is here in my apartment because my parents are embarrassing. I’m anxious because if she knew about my boyfriend, she might be obsessed with the thought that he’s European and that he should help me or she would expect something from him. Or worse, he would be against him (not that I care what she thinks) because she will think of the most ridiculous things because she wouldn’t want me to have a better life than her.
The issue is that, I don’t want to move out from here yet. I would need to save up for a while and it’s not so soon that I will have that kind of money to afford moving out. Worst comes to worst, I would just borrow money.

Those who got married to their LDR partner, where did you marry?

My bf is European but I’m not.
We have met each other months ago, and I’m not a big wedding type of person and I don’t have a dream wedding. We are still talking where we want to get married. How about you guys? Probably where I’m from is where we will marry.

Talked to a professional… disappointed again

Few weeks ago, I called a doctor because I told her I was burnt out and if there is anything she could prescribed. I also told her I was just focusing a lot sa work ko, nothing else. She kinda laughed pa when I told her that and said there’s really nothing to do besides doing something else other than work and exercising/finding other hobbies…. This reminds me of a time that I also went to a doctor (a psychiatrist) and she was literally forcing out information from me that I didn’t want to share to the point na that I felt uncomfortable. To me, asking help from professionals never made me feel better. I was introduced sa medicine and I was advised to eat healthy and exercise, but when you are depressed, it feels like a chore. You can’t even get up. I was the one that mostly helped myself. This actually encouraged me not to get depressed again because even other people wouldn’t truly understand you and your situation.

Fully moving on from the past

I’m in a healthy relationship now, but I still cannot help the fact looking back into my past ‘relationships’. I feel like I’m somehow stuck, but I don’t want it to affect my current relationship. Until now, I have this anxiety of deleting everything from my past ‘relationships’ because ‘I need to remember things’ when I want to. I want to fully move forward and not look back on things that are irrelevant but I still cannot.

To be free

I’ve been working in this company for 2 years now. It has been terrible due to the heavy workload and toxic management. ‘Yung hindi mo alam kailan na naman magagalit manager mo. Not to mention, taking a sick leave is considered a major thing, when I was a new hire, I was called 11 times kasi sabi ng manager ko she should know ano symptoms ko and why I’m taking the sick leave. Right now, I truly want to leave but at the same time, I have no job offer yet. I honestly can’t work at this job because the stress is not worth it at this point. Currently, I’m bombarded with messages/calls due to me taking a sick leave. I’m getting anxious because I honestly want to be free from this.

Still having narcissistic parents as an adult

Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to have a boyfriend. My mom said “after university” I can have one, but they would still blow up when I hang out with my male friends after I graduated university and I was 21. Now that I’m pushing 30, I pay them rent and live in the apartment they own. One day, my parents visited me. My dad was almost making a scene asking for the keys because he said he needed to use the “restroom”. There was also a restroom in the lobby while they wait but it had to be the one in my apartment he wanted to use. I’m honestly not sure what the goal was, to catch me having a man inside the apartment? Or was that simply for control? I cannot fathom parents that act as if they’re kids when they have adult children. Mind you, I really didn’t plan to move in here, it’s just more familiar and it’s the city I grew up in. Before that, I was living on my own in a different apartment that I forgot how narcissistic and controlling my parents are. I think I’m just gonna move out again and never seek any help from them ever again. They never change.

Struggles in finding a job in Norway as a foreigner?

In the long run, my bf and I plan to settle in Norway. He’s Norwegian. He has been telling me that it might be hard for me to find a job in Norway. I’m not from Europe at all. My current job is in IT/Business Operations and focuses on data automation. He told me I might need to get any job just to start especially I am not fluent in Norwegian yet.
Is the job market over there that competitive right now?
