A person on etsy custom made me this wonderful patch

I'm currently working on a little project, where I'm trying to find patches from as many of my various interests as possible and sew them onto a denim jacket.

Being a huuuuuuuge Skylanders fan, I wanted a Skylanders one, but none seem to exist that I could find. Then, I had reached out to this seller on etsy about a different patch, and they said they could custom make patches for me, so I asked for this one.

They made me this, as well as a Xenoblade Chronicles and Ace Attorney patch. Their name is Erika Garvin, but their etsy shop appears to be closed at the moment.

Is Brain Age: Concentrtion Training effective?

I remember back in middle school, I played Brain Age Concentration Training, and I felt like it actually helped me a bit, especially since I have ADHD. But now, as a 25 year old, I am wondering if this game is actually effective at improving working memory. I can't seem to find anything on the matter that is about Concentration Training and not the DS games.

Can you get the trophy for getting all the Onryo offerings before the story ends?

I have 4 missions left in the story I think, and I'm trying to get all of the trophies before the final mission. I have all of them except the ones you get through the story, Tazeko, and getting Onryo offerings. Can you get all the Onryo offerings for that trophy before the last mission?

When is the best time to fight Takezo

I only have 4 story missions left I think. When is the best time to fight Takezo? Should I wait until the end of Chapter 2. I want to do it when it makes the most sense narrative wise, but I don't know when the point of no return is.

People told me I wouldn't, but I'm actually really enjoying the story of Ghost of Yotei so far, more than Tsushima

Months ago, I asked on here if the story of Ghost of Yotei was good, and the vast majority of people said it wasn't. I've killed the Snake, Oni, and Kitsune and am about to go to Oshima Coast, and I really disagree, I'm actually really enjoying it. Is it a generic revenge story? In most ways, yes. But I'd argue that isn't a bad thing. The story is following a formula that works. Just because something is generic doesn't mean it's bad, it sometimes just means it's a mechanism. Not every story has to be groundbreaking and 100% original to be good.

A lot of people also said it was very predictable and I disagree with that too. There have been a few plot twists that I really didn't see coming. There are some things I can guess will happen, but that actually makes me more excited to find out. Not to mention, I like Atsu waaaaaaaay more than Jin. I think I like the story overall more than Tsushima, but especially Atsu over Jin.

And in terms of gameplay, I'm looking to make this the first game I will ever platinum. I usually don't bother, but I was looking at the trophies, and realized I already had most of them, and most of the ones left are just collectibles and ones you get through the story, and I've already 100% cleared Yotei Grasslands, Tokachi Range, Ishikari Plain, Nayoro Wilds, and Teshio Ridge, so all that's left is Oshima Coast, which I haven't reached yet.

Obviously, don't spoil anything past the Oni/Kitsune storyline. I just reached where it says chapter 2, and that's where I last stopped.

Beard or no beard?

The picture with the beard is from April, shortly before I shaved it off before it got too hot out. The other picture is from like, a week ago. But I'm thinking about growing it back. My facial hair grows absurdly fast, so it wouldn't take all that long.

I first started using tarot for fun, then I started using it as a coping mechanism, and now it's stressing me

When I first started using tarot, about 2 years ago, I was using it for fun. But then, I started using it as a coping mechanism. One of the things that stresses me out is uncertainty about the future. Will I ever be financially stable? Will I ever find love? Etc.

And now it's stressing me out, because I'm no longer getting direct answers or answers I can easily understand. Why? What do I do now?

Very much an amateur, but I'm gonna try and sew as many patches on here as possible

I recently learned how to use a sewing machine, and I'm making a project out of sewing as many patches on here as possible. I used invisible thread, and you can tell an amateur did it, but the important thing to me is I did it myself. I had one like this in High School, and people would always be like "wow, did you sew those on yourself" and I'd be like "no, my Dad and a tailor did them". This time, i just want to satisfaction of saying I did it all myself, and to put an absolutely unhinged amount of patches on this thing eventually.

I'm very much an amateur, but working on a jacket I'm going to put patches all over

I've started learning how to use a sewing machine, and my goal is to cover this jacket with patches. I used invisible thread, and you can tell I'm an amateur, but my main goal is to just do this myself. I had a jacket like this in High School, and everyone would be like "wow, did you sew those on yourself" and I'd be like "no, my Dad and a tailor did them". This time, i want not only to be more unhinged with the amount of patches I put on, but to be able to say I did it all myself.

How much is Atsu's bounty in today's currency?

I'm only a little ways into Ghost of Yotei (at least in terms of story. I've fully explored Yotei Grasslands, Tokashi Range, and Ishikari Plains, and I'm 28 hours in), and Atsu's bounty right now is 5,000 mon. How much is that in today's currency (specifically american dollars)? Cuse I'm assuming mon was a real currency at one point, right?

Niche question: Does anybody know where I can find a good Xenoblade iron on/sew on patch?

I have a very niche question. I am doing a little project where I am gathering patches from all the things I love and sewing them onto a denim jacket, and I want to put as many patches on it as I can. However, I have been entirely unable to find a Xenoblade patch. There are a ton of pins around, but no patches as far as I can find. I thought I would ask here on the off chance that someone knows where I can find one.

Boston Whimsy Meetup - Saturday, July 25th, 4pm

Hello!

Some of you may remember last year when I organized the Boston Frog Meetup. Well, we're doing it again, only this time, we're making it more about general whimsy.

We'll meet over by Frog Pond and do whimsical things adults may not normally get to do, including outdoor games (such as duck duck goose, kitty wants a corner, etc), I think some people are bringing some blankets and board games, stuff like that, it'll be a casual but very whimsical fun time. I also highly encourage you to come dressed as whimsically as your heart desires, but you don't have to.

It will be this Saturday, July 25th, at 4pm, at Boston Common over by Frog Pond.

We have also have a discord server called the Boston Whimsy Society. If you would like to join, just comment saying so and I will send you a DM.

Hope to see you there : )!

Is giving platelets always this bad? Is there something I can do to make it better?

A couple weeks ago, I went to donate platelets, and it was awful. Because you can't move your arms the whole time, my arms were in extreme pain throughout most of it. They put little slits under my arms when I brought it up, but it didn't help much. I also had to pee really badly for most of it, and I couldn't finish it with 24 minutes left cuse I had to pee so badly. If I donate platelets again, is there something I can do to make it better. Cuse if I can't, there is no way I'm putting myself through that again.

I'm in Boston, Massachusetts, USA

As an educator, I really like how they handled chapter 49

If you don't remember, chapter 49 is the one where >! we learn about how Lulucia was assaulted as a child !<

I really like how they handled it. As an educator (assistant teacher at two afterschool programs), I often find that when they do this kind of thing with a backstory in anime/manga, it often goes one of two ways. Either A, it's "ooo, we're so edgy and dark, isn't it cool how edgy and dark this character's past is", or it's the opposite and they don't even really acknowledge how messed up it is, and it often irks me. One thing I really like about Witch Hat in general is how good it is at portraying the children in a realistic light, which is something not a lot of anime/manga stick the landing on. I have seen this kind of situation play out, and I think there is due praise for just how well it was handled, and how it was actually pretty realistic, and not overly edgy, just the right amount for how serious stuff like this is. There is a place for that kind of edgy stuff, but it's also nice to have it portrayed like this.

Boston Whimsy Meetup on July 25th at 4pm

Hello everyone! I made a post about this a while back, but I thought I'd make another one for those who missed it.

Some of you might remember a year ago when I organized the Boston Frog Meetup. Well, we're doing a sort of sequel. Except this time, it's general whimsy.

We'll do whimsical stuff like outdoor games that adults don't normally get to play (duck duck goose, kitty wants a corner, etc), I'm pretty sure some people are bringing board games, etc. It'll be a fun place to meet other whimsical people. We also encourage you to dress as whimsically as you want, but you can wear whatever you want of course.

It'll be on July 25th at 4pm, over by Frog Pond at the Boston Common.

We also have a discord server called the Boston Whimsy Society. If you'd like an invite, just reply saying you want to join, and I'll DM you an invite to our discord.

Hope to see you there :)

Question about short stories?

It's been a while since I've gone back to Strive and actually played it, since I don't really play fighting games (mostly because I suck at them and don't want to pay for Playstation online), but I'm really super into the lore and characters, so I'm excited about these short stories.

I noticed some are not unlocked, but there old archived ones that are. Am I supposed to do something to unlock the rest?

POV: You went finished season 1, but you're autistic/ADHD, and the hyperfixation gremlin must be fed😈

I already had volumes 1-5, but after the end of season 1, I literally went to my local comic book store, which has a great Manga selection, and just bought volumes 6-14. The hyperfixation gremlin must have his meal😈

Was this a smart financial descision? Debatable. Do I care? I probably should, but not really🤣
