Why does Cad Bane have those tube things and sometimes doesn't

I'm rewarching The Clone Wars, and it occured to me, why does Cad Bane sometimes have those tube things on his face and sometimes doesnt?

As a kid, I assumed he had some kind of breathing problems, which was also why his voice sounded like that.

I've never been in a relationship before now, and my girlfriend is poly. Any advice?

I'm 25, and I've never been in a relationship before the relationship I just got into with my now girlfriend, who is poly and in an open throuple. I'm not sure how I feel about it long term, but for now, it's actually going really well. She is just the sweetest person, and has taken every measure to reassure me that the time she spends with me is just as precious to her as the time she spends with her other partners.

But I can't help but feel jealous that she has had so many more experiences with them, and gets to spend so much time with them. She is even moving in with them in a few months, and although she has done everything to try and reassure me this isn't true, I can't help but feel like I'm 3rd place, or something to the effect. The jealousy makes me feel guilty. I don't know how I should be feeling. I've never been in a relationship before, let alone a poly one.

Do you folks have any advice?

My girlfriend did something small for me nobody ever has

I just got into my very first relationship at 25. I am known to be a very loving and affectionate friend, and one of the things I'll do for my friends is learn their favorite candy, and get one for them almost every time I see them. However, nobody has ever done this for me in return.

But I did it for my girlfriend, and the next time I saw her, not only did she get me my favorite candy, she got me a whole CVS jumbo bag of it.

Another thing she did is, a few days later, we were at a comic book store, and I was going to get this Star Wars book, but I don't make a lot of money, and I was like "yknow what, I probably shouldnt spend the money" so I went to the shelf to put it back, but before I could she grabbed it from my hands and said "nope, I'm getting it for you". I was so taken aback, I started blushing and stuttering.

I don't know what to do with myself. I've never felt this cared about, and we havent even been dating that long at all.

I work at an afterschool program, and one of my students, a 4th grader, is into One Piece, and she is on Alabasta, and she was telling me about how she really likes Ace, and she asked if he shows up again, and I was like "oh yeah, he's very important in a future arc, there's a reason they're introducing him now", and she was like "YAAAAAAAAAY!!!"

Oh Lydia, you sweet child. You aren't ready.
