Anyone still rocking old Logitech gaming keyboards?
I looked in my local pc shop yesterday and was impressed by the sheer number of different gaming keyboards on the market. Most are these bare mini units.
I'm still using my 15 year old land barge G510. Back when it was either Logitech or Microsoft..
Everything still just works perfectly.
Won an auction, seller immediately cancels order then relists?
I won a VR headset on an auction, not a complete bargain but still happy with the price. Anyway I was about to pay and I get a message saying the seller cancelled as 'Something was wrong with the buyer's delivery address'. Whatever that means...
Anyway the next day the item is relisted (reworded description) as a buy it now for $100 more than what I won it for.
I thought when you won an auction it was some kind of binding contract? I've sold a few things in the past for much less than what is worth but i still shipped it off.
Is the Vkb Gladiator EVO $130 better than the Ursa Minor?
In Australia the Vkb EVO with shipping is $330, the Winwang Minor is $200 shipped.
I've seen many comparison videos but in lots of countries they are similar in price.
I also know Vkb have better customer service and some users have broken the hat switch on the Ursa that looks like a real pita to fix..
Yet in a straight fight both joysticks seem almost identical with similar pros and cons.
At the end of the day what's the better deal factoring in the price difference?
Shout out to Samsung
My Samsung SSD died, it was 4.5 years old and I bought it (new but no affiliation with them) off an ebay seller.
Reached out to Samsung support and after a few emails then sent me a brand new one, express courier. No hoops to jump through, just good customer service.
Winwing Australia?
Just wondering if there are any importers in Winwang joysticks in Oz?
The only somewhat affordable option is Aliexpress but when tax and shipping is factored in they cost more the VXB Gladiators..
X52 Pro still OK?
I know this is a done to death question but I've been using my Saitek x52 for around 18 years and it's never had a problem, all my flight stuff is mapped and I know what all the buttons and dials do. It's just looking and feeling old... My kid and nephews also give if a flogging on occasion.
Now I have the option of buying a new Logitech x52 pro, it's been in storage for 5 years but never used, it's $160au and I'm tempted just because of the familiarity, I also have big hands and have seen a few people say the VKB Gladiator is not great for larger mits.
But should I branch out and try something different? I did buy a TM T16000 hotas setup a few years ago but I just never liked it.
YAK9s are in plague numbers
These things are everywhere around the mid rank stuff. They are completely OP as a CAS and dangerous vs other fighters. Far too lethal vs tanks. I witnessed one Yak with the big boom stick wipe out 3 tanks in a pass. I jumped into my fighter to counter him but he out turned and shot me down… Most SPAA are too ineffective in the mid tiers and when people rush caps, then yolo attack, die and immediately jump into the Yak their is nothing to counter them.

KFS? Kentucky Fried Salt?
I don't eat KFC much these days but twice now in the last month I've had it from different places. Both times the soggy chips were caked in salt, the chicken strips were dry and salty, and the burgers were small, only lukewarm and dry.
What has happened to the gold standard of junk food? It's not even cheap...
Last time I buy it which is probably a good thing from a health point of view.
KFC not what is used to be?
KFC used to be a once every now and then delicacy for me in my younger days. Now its maybe once a year, but last month at a friends place they ordered KFC, a big variety order and it was pretty lacklustre in my opinion, soggy chips, soggy chicken nuggets, the actual chicken pieces were really salty as well. Everyone was rather critical of the quality of the chicken.
Last night we ordered a family combo thing as we were late home from work and the kids were hungry, different KFC, same result, mediocre, soggy chips covered in salt (ew), salty as hell chicken strips and the burgers felt small and generally dry and tasteless. Probably the last time we bother as its expensive for a takeaway junk food. We also picked it up ourselves, not using a food delivery service. My kids ate the nuggets but didn't touch the chips (rare), almost half of it went in the bin.
Subjective opinion but KFC just feels like they taste has gone and it was just disappointing as it used to be the holy grail of unhealthy junk food. Now it just feels like, dry, salty and pricey chicken that is not superior to what Maccers make.
Is mental sickness curable or just treatable?
A good friends younger sister just turned 30. Since she was 15 she's been on medication and therapy for bipolar disorder. When she's on her meds she's super happy, positive, scatty and euphoric, then she peaks, stops taking her meds as she always feels like she's cured and instantly becomes a miserable recluse for the next few weeks before starting again. She's struggled with long term employment, lives by herself in a flat and despite been a smart and very beautiful woman she's never had a relationship. I've known her for over 15 years and have never seen her improve since her first diagnosis. She was always the weird loner at school and only has a small group of friends in adulthood.
Makes me think is mental illness actually curable or do we just treat it conservatively?
A Dr friend said mental health is always 100 years behind other clinics and medical fields as we know so little about what makes people tick. Sedating violent people and giving serotonin to people with clinical depression.
Anyway to check for mould with out house destruction?
We have a 50 year old double brick home. The front is rendered and it has damp coursing. Our main bedroom is on the front part of house. In the mornings both my wife and I wake up feeling blocked in the nose. My wife does have a mould allergy as well.
When we stayed in a new AirBnb house last month we woke up fine also when we stayed with friends in their apartment no issues. But we always wake up in our house feeling a bit meh.
We pulled the carpet up last year and replaced it, just minor efflorescence on the concrete slab was observed.
Suspect their might be mould between the exterior bricks and is there any good measuring or detecting systems that could be used to check?
Flying on Jetstar when you're 6'4
I was dead lucky the seat between me and my 6'2 friend was empty.
What is this creature?
What is this bug? I keep finding them around my house. Google thinks it's a cutworm or Moth caterpillar buy apparently they don't like indoor environments? They seem to disintegrate (messily) when I pick them up with a tissue? It doesn't scream either..
Found one in the laundry today and one dropped through the air conditioner duct yesterday (ew..)
It's not a new thing, found them sporadically over the last few years but recently there has been quite a few popping up.
