My scroll wheel has been working strange since I moved to Linux

Mint Cinnamon, specifically. When I used Windows the wheel worked as expected, one notch up moves up, one notch down moves down, etc. On Linux one notch up moves down, one notch down does nothing, like it's put into a sort of neutral, and another notch down moves down. Same if I need to scroll up. It's not usually a big deal, but when I'm playing games where I need precision and a relatively fast response with the scroll wheel it can cause issues. Is it possible to change this behavior?

I got hold of this thing. What do I do with it?

I'd like to restore this keyboard a bit, clean it, replace the missing keys, maybe even mod it to bring it into modernity (and stop know-it-alls from going "why don't you buy a new keyboard it has this and that feature"). I'm not really sure where to begin though, as I've never actually restored or modded a keyboard before.

It must have taken me like 30 hours or so, but I'm finally done with it.

It could do with some better aesthetics though, so suggestions are appreciated.

Note that it's upside down in the image.

What's not visible in the picture is that the propellers on the sides are spinning intermittently, being connected to what was supposed to be a stabilization system connected to a gyroscope. But the ship spins even when they are turned off.

I've been trying (and failing) to find a Model M in a particular layout, nordic/Swedish, but haven't had any luck. But then I figured I could just get an ISO keyboard and replace the individual "offending" keys.
