hello everyone, I'm a 27m filmmaker (writer/director) from England
[I'm just going to spit everything rather than try give context as best I can articulate, so if you have any questions, please ask 🙂]
I've been filmmaking for 3 years now, and unfortunately im very much a one man band with it bar my brother.
I'm primarily a writer and director, I can write great scripts, and I know how to direct an actor to bring out their best performance.
For a while I used a simple camcorder to shoot my films - then bought a Blackmagic 6k pocket camera; but never felt confident enough to use it - then bought a Google pixel 6 to kind of bridge the gap between camcorder and BM as I continued to learn the craft
But recently, I DP'd for someone else's film which I co-wrote using my BM
Unfortunately, I'm still not feeling confident enough with all its settings etc - it's like putting me in charge of a spaceship with all its settings and buttons
I'm then finding it also has to have quite a lot done to footage to make it look quite film like; and even though I'm used to editing and using DaVinci Resolve, I know how to use it but by no means an editor
Now leading upto this, I have a Script coming up in which I truly am proud of. The thing is, I'm at the crossroads of this - do I use my Google pixel 6; in which I feel more confident in and thus can utilise with less crew - or do I use the BM; more settings, more chance of footage coming out bad, and more to do in the editing room; and thus would require more crew and a knowledgeable editor
This is an amazing script if I say so, and I only want the best for it. But does that mean using the Google pixel in which I feel more confident, or the BM and lots more can go wrong
But if I shoot on Google pixel, in 6month time, would I turn around and think 'I wish I had've pushed myself'
if you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate all input 🙏🏻
27m from England. Over the past couple days my mental health has slowly been rolling downhill but then it just all crashed last night and I feel so awful.
I have no friends, and no one to really talk to about how I'm struggling, and would just like someone to actually talk to please

So I made this video just to play about really. I was using a blackmagic 6k pocket camera, playing around with cinematography and then colour grading.
I'd be interested to hear some feedback - again, I wasn't fully trying with my colour grading, and just had a go at what may have fit the moment
I'm shooting on a Blackmagic 6k pocket camera - 24fps.
Unfortunately my footage very clearly looks handheld. is there any way of getting stabilisation on the camera?
Also, my footage looks quite pale (not fully white/milky) but quite a pale gleam. How do I fix this issue without darkening the entire shot?

I'm trying to improve the overall look and quality of my title cards - rather than simply choosing a font.
I use davinci resolve for editing. and rather than just choosing a font, maybe adding colour/shading/shadow etc, I actually want it to look like a real title card!
How or where can I do that? is there a way I can create the title card and then place it into my project?
Or is it possible to create a decent title card in deviance resolve?
