Whats the Trotsky play style l’île?
Seems like it’s about « exporting the Revolution ». Is it actually good at this? Is this supported by the game mechanics in a way that’s rewarding?

Let’s say I used consol command to creat neutral territories between the Soviets and Germany, Would Germany still go about Barbarossa anyway?
For example, an indépendant Ukraine, etc.
I have way too many hours in this game and I’m a bit jaded.
I badly want to play as the Soviets, but only to fight the Allies in Europe. That’s the payoff I want. Otherwise as soon as Axis front start collapsing, the game is over and the challenge dissipate.
Are the Allies pretty much certain to do it?
I play with a couple of much as as Better Dicisions and Expert AI, among other.
My roomate is leaving in 6 weeks, landlord accepted to do a lease transfer.
Roomate signed another lease last week. Finding A replacement roomate as proven very difficult so now him having to pay two rents in July moving forward is a very real possibility.
He said he would do it but there’s a very decent chance he won’t. I don’t trust him.
We are in solidarity on the lease.
I’m already working on my « mise en demeure » letter.
If push come to shove and I need to bring him to a tribunal to recover the rent he owe, whats the experience likely to be like?
I vaguely remember a dragon, in third edition *I think*, that looked like it lived in swamps and wetlands, and who’s illustrated body matched that environment.
His body looked like it was made of gnarly roots, dead leaves, bark, etc. His illustration was it posing in a smug manner.
Am I tripping? Was that a fever dream of mine?
I got only one visit per week. Whenever there’s a visit they usually dig the place, find it large and cozy. The vibe is good. But I was expecting way more interest. For info, I’m renting either the large double-room, or both separated rooms for someone who wants to make a separated office + bedroom. Is it too pricey? Is the layout a turnoff?
Looking at a time-lapse of real life Opresation Barbarossa, the initial German success was lighting fast.
It would be as if, in HOI4, the borders were defended by 1 Inf Div per province, no more.
My issue is that I was never able to replicate that kind of initial success. I have 1000 of hours yet I only have one méthode as Germany:
Have 4 Med Armors, 10-14 Light Armor.
Breakthrough north of Bessarabia, go south and encircle as many Soviet divisions as possible. A good encirclement for this is 40-50.
After that it’s a game of encircling 4-10 Soviet divisions at a time, cautiously pushing, finish establishing air superiority, and when the Soviet front is weak enough, I « behead » the Bear and do a massive encirclement of the center, and take 60-70 Soviet divisions. This usually out me at end of 1942.
Then I just battle plan into victory.
So my questions are
1- as anyone found a méthode to achieve a historical success for Operation Barbarossa in 1940
2- as anyone found an alternative way of waging war against the Soviets as Germany, that’s fun and challenging?
Layman here.
I’m asking because I’m confused; I thought El Niño meant warm weather in North America. So a poor winter with little snow.
But now I’m reading that it might mean more precipitation in general, and that these night translate into snowfall next winter season? Which is it?
Is there a source I could read to understand what El Niño mean for snow fall?
Or am I looking at this the wrong way?
Context;
Third and last floor of appartment building, in Quebec.
Moved in last year, with a pair of squirrel hanging around
They had found access by vent, to the ceiling above the bathroom
I bought a noise machine, then a trap to transport and displace them, to no effect at all.
Last autumn the landlord installed a one way trap above the vent, and then a cage over a second smaller vent. Solved the problem.
In February they came back, by another unknown access point.
By ear, I can tell they need to navigate through and above a portion of the appartement, to go chill near the bathroom section ceiling. New access point is on the roof I suppose.
Anyway long story short, in light of their persistance, and of the fact that we gave peace a chance, I bought a fancy trap that was advertised as providing a humane death.
And so it did, in 48h, the paire was dead.
Then we realized there was a third, smaller squirrel. Sometime it squeals. I saw it in the cage outside the vent, gray and furry, fist-sized.
I’m concerned it might die up there instead of leaving and living his best life elsewhere.
I just suggested to the landlord to replace the cage with a second one-way trap, to let it out.
Is there a chance that this fist sized critter isn’t old enough to figure out it’s time to leave? Is there anything else I could do?
At face value he sound like a terrible individual; the father of gynaecology repeatedly experimented on slaves, without giving proper pain relief or receiving any form of consent or offering any compensation.
But he experimented on slaves because he was a plantation doctor dealing with medical issues nobody had bothered to treat before.
Therefore, In this time and place, slaves was all he had access to and the nature of the issues (vaginal fistula) made any treatment experimental by definition.
So my question is, could he reasonably have done better? Could he have acted in a more humane way?
- was the poppy-based pain relief he administered sufficient?
- could it have been expected of slaves with crippling medical issues to have given reasonable consent?
- could he have compensated slaves at this place and time?
- could he have achieved the same medical breakthrough on free women?
- his today’s criticism fair or harsh?
Thank you.
I play Sion mid or botlane. I run Lyandries and comet first, with Tear start.
I never lost lane nor have I lost a game.
When I win lane I go full tank with my usual split pushing shenanigans.
In ever case my team tear down and chew me up for going “AP”, even tho it had zerooooo impact on my performance.
I’m sorry but 2-3 E with comets and the burn, and suddenly you got kill pressure against your opponent. Even later in the game.
It’s just extremely effective during laning.
- Unprotected sex last week of March. I was insertive/top partner.
- White discharge from penis by 6 April.
- I got tested for chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and Gonorrhoea on the 7th. Tests all came back negative on the 9th.
- because I was leaving on a 11 days trip on the 10th of April, I went to another emergency sexual health clinic right before taking the plane.
- they tested for clam and gono, and gave me an injection and a a 7-days course of doxy.
- throat swab and urine tests all came back *negative*, again.
- symptoms cleared 6-7 days later, so by April 17.
- symptoms came back yesterday on the 23, I have a small white discharge.
- during my trip I had a dry cough which was a leftover from a small cold, which was made worst by the constant air conditioning during the trip.
- because of the persistant dry cough, during my trip my mom gave me ciprofloxacin. She said it was given by her doctor as a “fix-all” solution if she’s sick when travelling.
- I did NOT take it.
- now I’m considering taking it, since the STD symptoms are back.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.
