Argan Oil is a HG for the skin on my body. I apply it before lotion and it really does a bangin job. There are two different brands of 100% Argan Oil with vastly different prices. Josie Maran is $39 for 1 oz. while The Ordinary is $7.80 for 1 oz. So, I purchased both at the same time and tested them myself. Applied JM to the left leg and The Ordinary to the right.

-Both smell exactly the same, not much of anything
-The Ordinary is a little thicker
- The Ordinary is more yellow while JM is more colorless
- Needed the same amount to cover a leg

Took a photo an hour after application and both look the same. Online reviews do sometime state that The Ordinary has a bad smell. I didn’t notice any though.

After a failed attempt at Retinol from a beauty store that destroyed my skin barrier I took a step back, learned from my mistakes, and restarted Retinoids with Tretinoin instead. Over time built up the routine cautiously to ensure the skin could handle everything that was thrown at it, and hydrating as much as possible to counteract the regenerative actives. Pushing back against any invasive procedures for as long as possible. Trying to repair the skin after many years of Florida sun bathing and past addictions that surely aged me.

-Wash with Paula’s Choice Resist Perfectly Balanced Cleanser
-Tone with GLOW recipe PHA+BHA (just to use it up before switching to Paula’s Choice exfoliating toner)
-Vitamin C serum
-Numbuzin #3 Skin Softening Serum
- Sunday Riley Good Genes
- PTR Skinjection moisturizer mixed with a few Isle or Paradise light self-tanning drops
- sunscreen

PM:
-Wash
- Tone with Numbuzin #9
- Biossance Copper Peptide Serum
- Haruharu Wonder Bakuchiol eye cream
- Bakuchiol Serum
- Tretinoin
- Biossance Ectoin Overnight Rescue Moisturizer

In the PM there’s a 30 minute wait time between all of the serums, Tret and moisturizer. I do chores and stuff with/for my kids in those 30 minute windows.

Byredo is so expensive, so I’d like to save any way that I can. I see that SHEIN sells Bal d’afrique and worry I’ll unintentionally end up with a perfume from them instead of the real deal.

I recently tested some skin tints in store and really loved the Hourglass. But, I’ve been eyeing the Gucci because it has Bakuchiol. I only tested on my hand and not my face (regrettably), and the Hourglass melted right into my skin flawlessly. Curious about the longevity and possibly oiliness for anyone that has tried these?

I detest returning things so really want to get it right the first time.

When I googled the Rouge Celebration Weekend it showed a link to the Sephora website for more info. When I clicked it I was brought to my Sephora app with NO information at all. So I used my kid’s iPad (there’s not a Sephora app installed there) and I found this. I also found something about RSVPing to a special in-store event. But, when I try to get more info on that it just says I have to log in and then it’s another dead end

I absolutely love everything about Amlactin, except for the smell. I’m lhoping to find a body lotion that is just as effective on the skin with a similar percentage of Lactic Acid, but that has something to cover up the horrible pee smell. The other exfoliating lotion alternatives I’ve found also have scent issues.

Speks has restocked their official website with a ton of Gumps in all sizes and colors weeks ago. They still have quite a few options on their website right now. MSRP is higher than NeeDoh but they’re amazing and easy to get.

I’ve never checked out Sephora at Khols before the glitch. There are some wonderful items on sale exclusively at Khols, and it looks like they have some Sephora Favorites bundles that are also specific to Khols. Certainly worth a look!!!!

This month’s Extra had its downfalls, but to get a $85 full size bottle of Good Genes 1oz for $18 makes up for it all.

42 years old with aging skin.

Sol De Janerio Body Wash - absolutely love the scent. It takes more product to properly wash as it doesn’t layer well and seems to disappear from my washcloth quickly. Everyone in my home comments about how nice the bathroom smells after my showers.

Paula’s Choice Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser- this is my HG. I’ve tried at least 3 other cleansers this month but keep coming back to this one, so had to get another. It is so soft and creamy feeling and doesn’t strip the skin. I’d like a cleanser with some other nice things like Squalane but none are as nice as this yet.

Not Your Mother’s- it works well without drying out the hair. Purchased several other of those powder dry shampoos but they make my hair feel like straw.

Peter Thomas Roth Skinjection- my HG that I’ve been trying to get away from due to the controversy with him but none match up to how well it moisturizes my Tretinoin-treated face. It’s refillable but the refills don’t go on sale like the original does.

Rare Beauty Lip Butter- one of my top 3 lip products. Hydrates and is not sticky. Own several shades.

Glow Recipe toner- really dislike this and had a hard time getting through it over the last 3 months. Don’t care for AHA/BHA toners in general.

Isle of Paradise Light self tanning drops- have never tried any other tanning drops but I love these. Already using my back stock. Just 2-3 drops mixed in with my moisturizer every AM gives my face the perfect glow that lasts for several days. It stains your skin in a good way.

Sensodyne - I’m old with old people teeth. Don’t notice a difference between this and my husband’s Crest that I’m using now.

Dr Jart Vital Hydra masks - went through 4-5 this month but threw some away on accident. There’s a lot of essence in each packet so you can use the mask one day and save the essence leftover to use for another 3-5 days. Hydrates really well.
