CZ 83 Magazines failing to feed? Factory new from Numrich

https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1188090

One came with the pistol. Works great, zero issues after 100+ rounds.

Two new magazines from here, and they seem to jam every couple of rounds. Is there a...break in period?

Or are these just fake knockoffs, as I'm now reading? These are the ones to get?

Thinking about getting this, I've heard good things about the Taurus 2TX 22, but how is the deal? Seems these days, it's pricey.

Just picked up a P230SL - Are there any reasonable options for Magazines besides Promag?

I can't seem to find them, though I looked for a little bit. Originals are going for over 100$ a pop...so yeah. I'd like to avoid that if I could, Mec-gar sadly does not seem to produce any...

I see the promags have decent reviews, I see a lot of people having...no issues at all with them, so it's an option.

It's just...you know, Promag...?

Got out to shoot my 1006. Took it apart after to clean it...is this normal or damaged somehow?

Not my first pistol, nor my first third gen, but this kind of damage seemed a tad abnormal for me. This gun was used, but looked almost new. So it had hardly been shot.

We put about 70 rounds of 180gr Magtech through it. It was lightly oiled before use. When I went to take it apart I met resistance and I had to really pull it hard to get the slid off, when I did a thin strip of material, basically thinner than paper fell onto my desk. Like a paint chip.

Is this just the bead blasting coming off? I have a 5906 and and it doesn't show this kind of wear, it was a police surplus though and is only 9mm, so perhaps it doesn't have the power to do this. I'm probably overthinking this because I paid so much for the gun. It can actually catch my nail if I run along it.

I mean this gun had been fired before, but now I'm wondering if it had been outside the factory...

How does this work? I have 130$ in Sezzle Spend for amazon...how do I use it?

I have the app, signed up for the 95% off first month, it wants me to buy a card for the amount I plan to use and charge my credit card? I don't seen option to use the Sezzle Spend.

My friend got new new AP5-SD - weak extraction issue.

Luckily I have a AP5 so we could change lowers and parts in an effort to figure things out. It's definitely his upper after trying a few configurations.

We tried 124g Federal, Sellier and Bellot, and Sig.

Federal ammunition seemed to cycle 9/10 times. Sellier and Bellot was closer to 3/10 and sig was 1/10 times. Figure the Federal was a little more powerful. All that same ammo ran 100% reliably through my own which was ejecting the brass casings quite far.

We noticed his extractor looked slightly different than mine, kind of shrunken. We had to head home for the day, but I had a H&K Gen3 extractor I bought just in case mine was bad when I bought mine last year. We installed it, but won't be able to get back out til next Monday.

I measured his bolt gap, 0.50 slid in with little effort, 0.55 did not. He has a 100 degree RCM locking Piece like me, because MKE supposedly ships with 120 degree. Even with his stock locking piece however, the FTFs were much, much worse, and sometimes even failure to fire. We tried with and without a brace, seems to have no effect on functionality. He does not have a claw mount attached, so no worry of that.

From what I can guess he's just barely in spec or close to out of spec. We noticed my bolt sat farther forward than his did when cocked, by a good amount.

So I'm guessing he needs new rollers, but I don't understand how to decide what size he needs / read the information. We put the extractor in and that'd be great if it solved the issue, but if not we're pretty sure it's the rollers. Thanks for any help.

*The brass on his AP5-SD generally dribbled out the side, with some shooting out 2 feet at best, while my AP5-LT, also with 100 degree locking piece, was shooting them 4-5 feet.

Measuring Bolt Gap? Not 100% clear.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA2JvbvYLps

I watched this video. Got myself a set of feeler guages. My AP5 has been fine for over a year, 600-700 rounds, still running great, but I never measured the gap. My cousin just got one and his is having issues so I decided to stop putting it off. I followed his advice, tried 0.50mm, then 0.45mm. Those two didn't fit. 0.40 didn't fit either, but 0.35 fit if I really try and wiggle in there deep.

There's a guide on this subreddit but honestly it wasn't too clear on the readings, at least to me. Thanks.

Factory AP5-LT besides the 100 RCM locking piece I put in, because I read AP5s came with 120 degrees and didn't want roller dents.

.22 LR Suppressor that doesn't break the bank?

Not looking for anything that needs to handle full auto, not the best at dampening the noise, just enough to not bother the neighbors, just got a 10/22 for my dad to use for hunting varmint around his house.

Thanks.

Took my Kimber DS 1911 DS Warrior 10mm 6'' out today, and had issues with feeding.

Before I took it out I cleaned it and oiled the rails / contact points. Maybe not enough.

It comes with a 15 round and 18 round. Now here's the interesting point.

I ran the 18 first and had a FTF at around 15. Then 16, 17, ran fine and then 18 failed to feed.

Next I moved onto the 15 round magazine and on the last round of the 15? FTF. Happened each time. Last round, always FTF.

What I noticed: When loading that 15th round in either magazine, there's a strange "Resistance", not your typical "This spring is a bitch to push down", but almost kind of like a break? There's a wall and then you feel something give and boom, last round loaded in. Happened in both magazines. We were running late due to issues with another firearm, so only put about 80ish rounds down range, but it was always the last one or the 15th and 18th round of the 18 round magazine.

Ammunition was 180gr Magtech.

Just did another full cleaning and left it very wet inside, all points of contact doused(It's going to be filthy I know), to try and maybe help with the break-in period.

Not really had this issue with a gun before, I suppose I've gotten very lucky with my dozen or so pistols so far, but this is my first Kimber. I know their reputation. But the DS Warrior looked like a screaming deal, and besides this, it shot really well and looks great.

Got a 1911 DS Warrior 10mm 6'' LS on the way...magazines are crazy expensive?!

So I usually go Mec-gar over OEM, but none exist yet..I expected OEM to be 30-35$ perhaps, as they're always overpriced.

Only to be met with the 65-70$ per magazine pricepoint on these. What the hell is that? How can Kimber get away with charging those magazine prices? Mec-Gar makes similar magazines for other guns can can afford to sell them for 18-20$, at the same or even higher quality.
