Sensory issues… Heavy duvet and heat!

I can’t sleep well without a good weight on me… But in this heat I can’t sleep with my thick duvet.

My thick duvet is the perfect weight, allows me to move without being too light.

I’ve tried a weighted blanket before, didn’t feel as good as I felt more trapped.

Any tips?

Officially diagnosed as combined ADHD today.

I cried. I don’t know why. I keep thinking of that struggling little girl and a family that never understood me.

Equally, I feel like I’ve somehow lied to the psychiatrist and I’m a fraud.

What are your experiences of starting stimulants?
I’ve been prescribed 28 days worth (will pick up later).

Has anyone changed their Ring doorbell for a Tapo one?

Just some questions before I bite the bullet. Hoping to change my Ring doorbell for Tapo. Has anyone done the same? Was it hard? Were the holes needed in the wall the same?

More push notifications when Ring plan cancelled

I’ve recently cancelled my Ring plan in prep to swapping to another brand of camera doorbell due to the privacy and political issues around Amazon and their use of Ring in the US (although I am UK based, I am de-amazoning my house)

Upon cancelling my plan, I noticed I’m getting 10x more push notifications from the doorbell. Has anyone else noticed this?

I obviously can’t watch back now, but it seems as if I’m being baited because I can’t watch the videos back that I’ve been notified about.

Stop the closure of Plymouth's only rope climbing wall

The council and Plymouth Active want to close down the Life Centre's climbing wall and replace it with a soft play area.

This would be a massive shame because we're on the doorstep of Dartmoor with this indoor climbing wall being the gateway into climbing for many (myself included).

Now it's an Olympics and soon to be Paralympic sport means it's something we should be celebrating having the facilities for and pushing for investment not closing it.

The fact they want to replace it with a soft play blows my mind when there're so many vacant properties in the city centre which a soft play would suit as it'd bring more people into the centre.

I've linked the petition that's been going around for anyone who's interested

I can see there’s a deal for Suzuki’s when using Suzuki own service centres - increasing the warranty up to 10 years if serviced with them. However on the website it states: ‘If your car is 3 years or older, we’ll give you an additional warranty when you service it with us – for free! This will cover you through to your next service, for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles – whichever comes first.’

So, does this mean if my car is new, there’s no reason to go to the Suzuki garage, until it’s 3 years old?

Trying to work out if a service plan is worth the money.

Moved away for uni then stayed up north for my job. No longer talk to my parents so I have no where to stay and accommodation is so expensive. Say hello to the motherland for me.

I absolutely hate the paving stones, they’re annoying to weed and look ugly. House is brown brick. Any ideas for a new (inexpensive) path?

This is my front path, so fairly heavy foot traffic

NB: I didn’t put this path in, the previous owners of my house did. It leads straight to the front door.
