Got my physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 for Switch 2 today. This is going to be the first time I play a Xenoblade game.

I just ordered my physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 for the Switch 2. Originally planned to buy it in store today, but it seems like this game has low stock everywhere, so I ended up buying it online.

Reading this Quora post literally broke my heart.

What in the fucking world would make this parent think it's okay to get into their son's account without permission nor saying anything and straight up delete it, and even just thinking that YouTube is somehow not a viable career option when the guy already has 12 million subs, and he might even be a content creator seeing it as a fun hobby rather than seeing it as a career. That's a very hard milestone to reach, but I suppose the traditionalist parent doesn't give a fuck about it, which is very sad.

If Star Fox was rated M due to strong language, how often do you think Falco would swear? Also, come up with some quotes for him if strong language and slurs were a thing in Star Fox.

Selling Switch 2 Edition upgrade packs is a big mistake. Shiggy could learn so much from Square Enix and make everyone buy the games they already own again.

Also, did I forget to mention selling Game Key Cards for all physical games?

I've been struggling somewhat with my life over the past couple of months, and my parents are still not fully understanding how I can struggle in my life.

It all started when my dad told everyone (myself included) that we were going to move to another house, and yes I'm still living with my parents at the age of 22. We were told we're moving since March, and we moved to the new house in May, so it seemed like it wasn't going to be a big deal with the time we had, but the thing is that I'm currently studying at the university 100% online, it works much better for me than going in person, but studying has always been one of if not the biggest struggle in my whole life as an autistic person. It takes me far more effort and time to keep up with it. I continue to get very good averages, but still, this makes any additional task or responsibilities in life more difficult for me to do because I already have to take care of a responsibility that is so insanely difficult for me. Studying isn't the only obstacle I had to deal with when getting everything ready to be moved to a new home though, my dad wanted to put the house where we lived up for rent, and he wanted to start listing it and allowing tours right away, even though we were still living there and weren't moving until May. This made the moving process more complicated than it had to be because at least in the area where we live, homes need to look literally as perfect as possible, and there are very strict standards on what looks good for a house tour and what doesn't, and having to do such a thing while still living there made it even more difficult to get everything packed up, and my dad wanted to start doing it so early because he can be pretty desperate with earning money, he's somewhat comparable with Mr. Krabs in that sense.

Back in early May, I was finishing the classes I had, so I ended up with good enough time to get all of my stuff moved to the new house, which is like 10 minutes away from the previous house, so it's not like I moved to a different town, city, or state. Unfortunately, I still struggled afterwards, even to this day. I've been spending time getting my bedroom organized and ready enough to make it a place to spend my daily life comfortably, but my breaks between classes are pretty short (about 10 days), and I'm never told when the upcoming university classes begin. I suddenly started having new courses to catch up on while I was still getting everything organized, and unfortunately I just didn't have time to finish. My car is still filled with a lot of clothes that I have yet to get over to my bedroom, my bedroom is a little bit of a mess, and there are still many boxes with lots of my stuff somewhere upstairs, which I initially left on what was supposed to be the guest room until my parents changed their minds and decided it would now be their bedroom, so my mom ended up moving my boxes out of that room, and my dad seems annoyed about them being where they are right now. I wish I could've continued, but I had to shift all of my attention to the university, otherwise I would've failed, and it's been difficult for me to deal with because I got more assignments than usual, some of these required me to do extremely absurd things, and some of them required me to work with a group from a distance, and working with that group was kind of a mess. I also significantly lost my sleep since the time I was moving to the new house from May because I had to get all of my stuff out before the day in which the house was going to get handed over to the tenants. The tenants didn't even need the house until June, but my dad yet again being so desperate with money didn't give the tenants a choice and wanted the house to be handed over to them in early May so badly so he could start charging them rent asap. Even after that, I still struggled to get good sleep as consistently as possible because of university getting more difficult to deal with, and especially when I had to stay up so late at midnight on Sunday nights, and going to sleep on Monday at times around 4:00-6:00 AM just so I could turn in all of my work on time, and even when I had free days to sleep early, when I sleep late one night, it can be very difficult for me to catch up with a much healthier sleep schedule, ideally before 12:00 AM hits at the very least, but going to bed at around 10:30-11:00 PM is even better for me, but with all the things I've been dealing with, I ended up sleeping past midnight pretty much every night in the new house, and when I go to bed so late, life becomes even more difficult for me to handle than when I sleep any time before 12:00 AM and wake up early in the morning to start off my day.

The reason this has been feeling kinda rough for me is because my parents, especially my dad, completely forget very often how much effort and time it takes me to study when I'm doing very well academically, which I've been so far, so when they see me not doing something productive I should consider doing, they act like I have enough time to do it. As some examples, when it comes to getting a part-time job, they think I can get one and encourage me to get one, and my mom even got to think that I somehow have plenty of time in my life to finally get a job when I actually don't. When I was going to leave for a fun trip to Canada with my dad, the day it was going to start was right after the very last day to submit all the last work I had before my courses closed, but due to some very unexpected technical difficulties I had with some assignments that lasted for over a week, it's been hard for me to get everything I needed to get done that night and pack up everything for the trip at the same time, and when I came out of the house just a bit late that night to go to the airport while still being on time to catch up the flight during midnight, my parents got mad at me for coming out late, they blamed me for it a bit intensely, and assumed that I came out late for reasons that are completely unrelated to what I was dealing with. When they still see all of my boxes with my stuff inside, they assume that I'm being lazy and that I'm just doing nothing while they have done stuff to organize the house. These examples I just mentioned literally remind me of that time three years ago when I reached the extreme point of being mentally burned out, sleep deprived, and chronically stressed and anxious when I graduated from high school because of how badly they've pushed me to do things I simply couldn't do due to my mental health reaching critical levels of distress, like driving my car frequently to practice driving even though I already had a license, and enrolling into college asap.

My recent experience from the past couple of months has also been rough as my daily life has been feeling like a big mess because I've been getting less sleep as of lately, and it's been affecting me somewhat, especially when planning out what to do each day, the amount of time I spend taking care of my responsibilities, going to places like the library to study and the gym, and free time activities I enjoy the most, planning all of that has been difficult for me lately, and I also struggled to focus recently when studying. The situation also made me hold off for some other things I want to do in my life, getting a part-time job and getting into a relationship, I kept taking those two slow due to my current way of living being a mess and being too busy with the university, but I don't want to hold off on both of these things for far too long, and now I have new courses at the university to work on, so I may end up busy once again. Some of you may think I'm expecting a bit too much with the idea of seeking a part-time job and a relationship, and given my current situation this is why I'm still holding off to both of these things, but I would definitely look into finding the opportunity to get into either one of them, one at a time, whenever I actually can. For now, I will focus on getting much better sleep from now, and hopefully spending better days than what the ones I had recently.

So that basically sums up what I've been dealing with lately. There might've been certain things I didn't mention about what I've been experiencing recently, but this is pretty much what I've been dealing with as of lately. I do want to say that even though my parents still have a hard time understanding the things I'm struggling with and that my dad can be a bit of a cheapskate with certain things, they both are very supportive and have done many good things for me. Hopefully I can figure out how they can understand me and my struggles better, although I don't know how I will be able to get my dad to empathize with me any better because he's already very bad at empathizing with everyone else, not just me. I also want to say that even though I have been struggling quite a lot as of lately, I'm still doing fine overall, I just felt the need to share my experience here, and I would be interested in reading your comments down below for any advice or support you'd like to share, and I would very much appreciate it.

Anyone else feeling very annoyed about how Square Enix and some other companies refuse to sell Switch 2 upgrade packs for most of their games, and instead sell completely separate Switch 2 versions?

I want to start out by saying that I really appreciate that we're getting upgraded versions and updates of Switch 1 games so they can take advantage of the Switch 2 hardware and run with much better performance, and even though Nintendo and many other publishers do charge a small amount of money for Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack, at least it still remains an accessible way to get a much better experience out of these games, which I appreciate especially now that I own a high end OLED gaming monitor.

That being said, I'm noticing that some companies straight up refuse to make Switch 2 Editions, and sell two completely separate Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions instead. For newer games, it doesn't feel too much like a big deal for anyone who already owns a Switch 2, although it is much less convenient than a Switch 2 Edition, but some of these games have already been released some time before their Switch 2 versions came out, in which case many people had already purchased the Switch 1 versions, but are forced to buy the games as a whole again just to own Switch 2 versions that run much better. Some of the most annoying examples so far are Sonic X Shadow Generations and the Octopath Traveler I & II games. I also noticed how Square Enix and Sega do sometimes make upgrades for the Switch 1 versions of some of their games while releasing other games as separate versions, which really makes me scratch my head.

I'm personally going to suffer this one real bad with Octopath Traveler I & II. I bought both of them digitally as a bundle last year when they went on sale around the time of Black Friday for around $45. They're currently still sitting in my backlog to this day, so I haven't even played them yet. When I saw the Switch 2 versions getting announced as separate games instead of Switch 2 Editions, I was hoping the upgrade from the Switch 1 versions to the Switch 2 versions would be very minimal considering these are HD-2D RPGs, and although nobody knows how the Switch 2 versions run, looking at the differences in performance between the Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions of Octopath Traveler 0 made me feel like I will probably end up being forced to buy them again but for the Switch 2 this time, and end up leaving the Switch 1 versions I bought completely unplayed, and it just feels awful how the money I spent on those two games seems like it's just getting flushed down the toilet for such a greedy practice. For context, the Switch 1 versions of all three Octopath Traveler games run at 720p 30fps in docked mode, while the Switch 2 version of Octopath Traveler 0 runs at 1080p 60fps, and it seems like the same will apply to the Switch 2 versions of Octopath Traveler I & II. It's possible many of you won't find this difference to be anything substantial or think that the Switch 1 versions already look very good at 720p 30fps, but for me personally, the jump from 720p 30fps to 1080p 60fps is massive, and I would love to enjoy these games running the best way they can on the hardware I currently own, but forcing me to buy them again instead of getting an upgrade pack is just nothing but an unacceptable anti-consumer practice.

I would be interested to read your thoughts in the comments.

My local Walmart somehow managed to get in stock what seems to be a European Switch Pro Controller, even though I'm in the US.

Dodging Gorgon's tentacles is very difficult on the Switch 2 remake.

I tried somersaults, and it's possible to dodge them this way, but sometimes you can still get hit. It's especially hard when playing in Expert Mode like I did.

Dodging Gorgon's laser by staying at the bottom right corner doesn't work on the remake.

This is arguably the best way to play Star Fox on Switch 2. N64 controller and an OLED TV or OLED gaming monitor.

Getting ready to take my Switch 2 on a trip for the first time.

I got the Switch 2 last year, but only played it docked. Star Fox just came out, and this is one of those games I wanted to play around the time of its release. I'm leaving soon for my trip, and I wanted to keep playing, so I went to buy a carrying case and bought a power bank as well, and I will bring my Switch 2 along with my 3DS.

I was playing last night at 2:00 AM, and didn't see this scary looking cutscene coming. First time playing the game btw.

At this point, I think we can all agree how much of a toxic Nintendo hater and grifter Lord Frogmire is.

All he really does is talk shit about pretty much everything Nintendo does, even when it's something good. He even talked shit about some third-party games that are really good and beloved by many people like HK: Silksong and Expedition 33. This guy is nothing but pure toxicity and negativity.
