Just finished making a playlist of all the songs featured in the MCU. Enjoy! 🎶

Just completed a playlist of all the songs featured in the MCU so far. This includes all of the films and shows made by Marvel Studios and Marvel Animatiin as well as the Marvel Television shows which include Agents of Shield, the Netflix shows, Agent Carter, Inhumans, Runaways, and Cloak & Dagger.

The playlist is organized in release order of the MCU. It’s fun to listen in order, but just as good to shuffle the playlist.

There were some songs I couldn’t find on Spotify, but if you see any I missed, let me know. Enjoy! 🎶

The third season made me lose trust in the show writers.

I absolutely loved the first two seasons. Even though things were updated and changed, the characters felt like real and flawed people dealing with such impossible situations and complicated relationships. It was engrossing to watch how these characters grew and interacted with each other.

Season 3 I felt only had big moments of this. The end of the episode with Lestat recounting Magnus turning him into a vampire. Lestat coming to help Louis with his deranged dynamic with the waitress. The seance with Claudia. Lestat’s band deciding to become vampires so they could experience music like him. All of these scenes were so powerful and moving.

But all of these great moments were bogged down by interactions with half baked characters that felt like they had no depth, meta references in the dialogue, the jarring mentions of Talamasca to remind you to watch that show, and what felt like really important moments that happen offscreen.

Why were we not shown Lestat’s band members turned into vampires? Why is the first time we find out Lestat turned his drummer into a vampire in his dream at the table in the finale? Why was so much of Lestat’s past just glossed over and rushed? So we could get more time of characters just being cheeky and sassy, constantly trying to one up each other? Like, I get it’s fun, but not as much when the time this season is limited.

I remained hopeful throughout the season that my investment of the characters and the story would get paid off, but the finale felt like such a waste of time. The plot did not move at all except for Armand I guess feeling understood by Louis. Lestat spent the whole episode not doing anything but trapped in his head with a cast reunion.

So he finally understands Gabriella is toxic. What’s the payoff of that? When he wakes up he starts yelling at her that he’s not going to play, which then fades out. We don’t get to actually see their argument. We don’t get to see what that time at the dinner table actually built up to.

The cast in this show is amazing, but I don’t know what on earth happened to the writers this season.

After how miserable the new seasons have been, I started watching Project Runway Jr and it’s a breath of fresh air.

It’s so positive and wonderful. Tim Gunn gives great constructive criticism and really cheers everyone on. It’s so sweet.

Water pouring in from neighbor’s yard.

So I suspect this is likely due to a sprinkler head being busted. There’s water shooting up about 8 ft in the air and coming over the fence from their backyard to my backyard. It’s fortunately landing in some bushes on my side of the fence and not causing noticeable damage yet.

The issue is my neighbor passed away a few months ago and no one is currently living on that property that I can talk to.

What do you recommend I do?

3 Bands in a lineup is the perfect amount

What do you think is the best number of bands in a lineup for a live show?

I feel like 3 bands keeps things feeling nice and fast paced. I don’t feel fatigued by the time the headliner takes the stage.

I feel like 4 or more bands I get tired sooner and a bit desensitized. Like going to an art museum where you reach a point of not being able to absorb any more of what you’re seeing.

Marius

I feel the need to express just how disappointed I am with the lack of Lestat’s agency in seeking out Marius in the show.

This issue also includes the adaptation of Lestat and Gabrielle’s history with Armand. He was one of the first other vampires they ever met, who shared with them the story of his maker, Marius.

Lestat was intrigued by Marius. A vampire not interested in being part of a superstitious coven, but one focused on culture, learning, and the arts. In the book, no matter where Lestat and Gabrielle traveled, Lestat would leave notes for Marius to find in the hopes of meeting him one day.

When Gabrielle leaves Lestat, he does choose to rest in the earth until Marius finds him. This aspect was adapted in such an unclear way though. I feel like non book readers would wonder why Lestat was in the ground like that.

The show doesn’t explore how Gabrielle would go out and tell Lestat how she felt so free when she would bury herself in the earth and just want to live in the wilds. They differed in what they wanted from their immortal lives, but I won’t delve much further into how disappointed I was with Gabrielle and Lestat’s history was shown in the show.

After she leaves, Lestat follows her example and waits in the ground. Marius does finally find him using the help of all the power he has at his disposal. He was not sent by Akasha to find Lestat. Marius went to seek out Lestat out of his own curiosity.

I was so excited to see their relationship on screen. To see their fascination with each other and how willing they both were to share whatever they could and wanted to know with one another.

Boy…. That was just not part of this adaptation at all.

They decided to blend Marius with the keeper before him, and what a disservice to the character that was.

I don’t know why the show writers glossed over so much of Lestat’s past that culminates into such a satisfying finale in the book. The book’s cliffhanger would have been perfect as the show’s finale too.

It infuriates me that Magnus was given more time in this season than Marius did.

I waited until the show’s finale before really letting myself voice my opinion because I had hoped these aspects would have been given more time to shine. Alas, here we are.
