Talk me out of possibly moving to Philly or Chicago

As the title says. Why should I not move there?

Early 30s male in finance who leans liberal. A good dating life is important for the move too

Super Bowl quarterback rematches

Over the course of the history of the Super Bowl there have been four quarterback rematches. Here is how they have played out.

Roger Staubach’s Cowboys played against Terry Bradshaw’s Steelers. Both time the Steelers and Bradshaw beat Staubach and the Cowboys. Bradshaw would go 2-0 in those super bowls. Both would go on to become hall of famers. Bradshaw going 4-0 in Super Bowls while Staubach went on to go 2-2

The second time was when Troy Aikman’s Cowboys played against Jim Kelly’s Bills. Aikman would go on to win both games. Ultimately going 3-0 in his total Super Bowls as Jim Kelly would ultimately go on to be 0-4 in the Super Bowl. Both would go on to make the hall of fame

The third time around was when Eli Manning’s Giants played against Tom Brady’s Patriots. Eli Manning would famously beat the undefeated Patriots in what is considered the greatest upset in football history. A few years later they would meet again and one more time Eli would march down the field and lead a game winning drive to beat the Patriots and Brady. Eli would retire as a two time Super Bowl champion and two time Super Bowl MVP and Tom Brady would ultimately go on to a 7-3 Super Bowl record. He is considered the greatest player of all time

The fourth and final match up is between Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. In the first match up the Chiefs and Mahomes would go on to beat the Eagles and Hurts. Hurts would go on to tie and set multiple Super Bowl records in a losing effort. In the rematch the Eagles would beat the Chiefs and Mahomes. Both of their careers are still being written. Hurts has seen some regression but looks to bounce back this season. While Mahomes is coming off an acl injury. Mahomes is still considered the best quarterback of this generation.

Let me know what you think of this Super Bowl trivia facts

What places do you not recommend?

I see a lot of places on here recommended a lot. Chicago, Philly, Austin and Nashville.

Has anyone here moved to one of the popular cities and not liked it?

I want to hear why someone shouldn’t move to a particular popular city.

More championships to come

I honestly think we get at least one more championship out of Jalen before it’s all said and done. The loss in Super Bowl 57 might have lit a fire that keeps pushing him. Excited for the next few seasons

Top 10 career rushing touchdowns in Super Bowl history

Seeing as how the game of football has changed and is a passing league. A record that has been surprisingly close to being broken several times is the career rushing touchdowns record in a Super Bowl held by Emmitt Smith

Here is the list of the players with at least three rushing touchdowns. I stopped at three because after it’s a 16 way tie for two total rushing touchdowns

Will we see this record get broken?

Yes, I also realize I messed up the title

  1. Emmit Smith - 5
  2. Thurman Thomas - 4
  3. John Elway - 4
  4. Franco Harris - 4
  5. Jalen Hurts - 4
  6. James White - 3
  7. Terrell Davis - 3

Chiefs true rival?

I know buffalo, cincy and Baltimore are more often viewed as the modern day rival to the Chiefs. But do you feel like we are their only real threat? We have faced off twice in the Super Bowl and three times in the regular season. Each time we give them their toughest game and we currently are 1-1 to them in the Super Bowl with a real possibility we meet again in the big game in the next four years

Wanted to say thank you

Just wanted to say thank to this community

I made a post about a week ago. In the post I vented about my frustrations with dating and with how I have been feeling burnt out.

After the post I had a few people reach out. One of them was /u/theasianplayboy. He offered some words over text and asked if had some time for a call later in the week.

I didn’t know what to expect. It felt like I had someone who was listening to me and understood my frustrations. I was offered genuine advice and encouragement. It was just something I needed to hear and I felt like someone understood how I was feeling. There was no sales call or pitch for a business. Just someone who saw that I was hurting and wanted to offer a helping hand.

I wanted to just say thank you /u/theasianplayboy. I appreciate you listening and talking with me. I’m going to take the things we talked about and use them to move forward

I waited tables for 6 years in my early 20s and worked construction while I pursued a career as a professional athlete.

I had no money, was lost and felt like I was stuck when my athletic career fizzled out.

Then I decided to go back to school after dropping out of college twice. Got a degree in Finance and Accounting. Turns out I really like it and enjoy the problem solving and the legal aspect of it all

Now all I hear is we’re going extinct and being replaced by AI. Sometimes it makes me sad and I worry because I love what I do now. I worked so hard to get to a point I never thought I would reach. I can pay my bills and get extra guacamole when I go out to eat.

Just a rant

Hi, looking to get out and socialize a bit more. I wanted to ask what some good bars were for a bit of an older crowd?

A place I can go by myself and talk to people or make friends.
