🇳🇿 Anyone from Vijayawada moving to New Zealand this February?

Hi everyone! 👋

Is anyone from Vijayawada planning to move to New Zealand for the February 2027 intake?

I’m also planning to move to New Zealand for my Master’s and thought it would be great to connect with others from Vijayawada who are going through the same process.

Would be nice to connect, discuss universities, visa process, accommodation, flights, and everything else before moving. ✈️🇳🇿

If you're planning to go, drop a comment or DM me! 🙌

Seeking advice: Master of Professional Engineering (Civil) at University of Auckland 🇳🇿

Hi everyone,

I’m a Civil Engineering graduate from India, currently working as a Design Engineer, and I’m considering pursuing the Master of Professional Engineering (Civil Engineering) at the University of Auckland.

I’m particularly interested in understanding the programme from the perspective of someone who has studied/worked in New Zealand.

I’d really appreciate advice on:

  • How good is the MPE (Civil) curriculum for structural/civil engineering?
  • What are the job opportunities in New Zealand after graduation?
  • Is it realistic to get internships or part-time engineering-related work while studying?
  • How does the programme relate to Engineering New Zealand / professional accreditation?
  • What are the current post-study work and long-term residency/PR pathways for civil engineers?
  • What kind of starting salary can a civil/structural engineer realistically expect?
  • Which civil engineering areas currently have the strongest demand in NZ — structural, transportation, water, geotechnical, construction, etc.?
  • Is the overall ROI reasonable considering international tuition fees and living expenses?
  • Which city would be better for career opportunities after graduation — Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or others?
  • How is the overall work-life balance, lifestyle and long-term career growth for civil engineers in New Zealand?

My long-term goal is to build a stable engineering career in New Zealand, rather than simply complete a master's degree and return home.

If you are currently studying at UoA, graduated from the MPE, or are working as a civil/structural engineer in New Zealand, I’d especially appreciate your honest experience and advice.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Anyone interested in splitting a LinkedIn Premium Career Duo (Annual)?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to buy the LinkedIn Premium Career Duo (Annual) plan.

I am comfortable with quarterly plan also.

The individual annual plan costs around ₹5,988, whereas the Duo plan costs ₹8,982 for two accounts. That works out to about ₹4,491 per person for an entire year, which is much cheaper than buying it individually.

Each person gets their own separate LinkedIn Premium account—nothing is shared except the subscription billing.

I'm looking for one genuine person who is interested in splitting the cost 50:50.

We can verify each other first and use UPI for payment.

If you're interested, please comment below or send me a DM.

Thanks!

Need advice: Which Australian university is best for a Master's in Civil Engineering? (International Student)

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student from India planning to pursue a Master's in Civil Engineering in Australia next year. After a lot of research, I've narrowed my options down to:

  • Queensland University of Technology (QUT)
  • University of Technology Sydney (UTS)
  • RMIT University
  • University of Newcastle
  • Curtin University

My goal is to build a long-term career as a Civil/Structural Engineer in Australia, so I'm trying to make the best decision based on career outcomes rather than just university rankings.

I'd really appreciate advice from current students, graduates, or engineers in Australia.

Some questions I have:

  • Which university would you choose and why?
  • How is the teaching quality and course structure?
  • Which university has the best industry connections, internships, and graduate employment opportunities?
  • Does university reputation matter much when applying for engineering jobs?
  • Is it better to study in a major city (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) or in a regional area like Newcastle?
  • Do the regional visa benefits outweigh the additional job opportunities available in larger cities?
  • If you were in my position, which university would you pick today?

I'd really appreciate honest opinions, including any pros and cons that aren't obvious from the university websites.

Thanks in advance for your help!

After a lot of thinking... I bought the complete Year of the Snake 🐍bundle.

Finally decided to treat myself and picked up the complete Year of the Snake collection—scenery plus all hero skins. I know cosmetics aren't everyone's thing, but I genuinely love the theme and the attention to detail. Definitely one of my favorite sets in Clash of Clans. What do you all think? 🐍✨

23M | Looking for a Christ-centered relationship

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm a 23 year old Christian who's hoping to meet someone who genuinely desires a Christ-centered relationship that could, Lord willing, lead to marriage.

A little about my faith:

My relationship with God is the most important part of my life. I rely on Him completely and try to keep Him at the center of everything I do. Before making important decisions, I pray something like:

"Lord, if this isn't Your will, please take it away from me. But if it is Your will, please open the right doors."

I begin each day with prayer before getting out of bed and end each day in prayer before I sleep. Reading Psalm 91 has become a daily habit for me, and I'm continually seeking to grow spiritually and become more like Christ.

I'm far from perfect, but I love Jesus, I'm teachable, and my deepest desire is to keep growing in my faith. I'd love to build a relationship with someone who shares that same desire—to encourage one another and grow closer to God together.

About me

● Age: 23

● Gender: Male

● Height: 5'8" (173 cm)

● Open to Long Distance: Yes

● Smoking: No

● Drinking: No

I'm a virgin and I've never even had my first kiss. I'm intentionally saving those experiences for my future wife. I know that isn't very common today, but it's a personal conviction rooted in my faith, and I hope to find someone who values that as well.

Outside of faith, I'm a Civil Engineer who enjoys learning, improving myself, and building a stable future.

I love traveling and exploring new places—whether it's a carefully planned trip or a spontaneous adventure. I'm a huge foodie who's always excited to try new cuisines. I enjoy long conversations, especially the ones that start with something random and somehow end up talking about life, dreams, and God.

Some of my hobbies include:

● Traveling

● Gaming

● Badminton

● Table Tennis

● Chess

● Trying new food

● Meaningful conversations

I'd describe myself as calm, loyal, honest, dependable, and someone who genuinely cares about the little things. I'll remember your favorite coffee order, ask if you got home safely, celebrate your victories, pray for you, and stand beside you during difficult seasons.

To me, love isn't just about chemistry or emotions—it's about commitment, friendship, sacrifice, grace, and choosing each other every day.

What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a woman who loves Jesus and sincerely wants to keep growing in her relationship with Him.

Someone who is:

● Kind and compassionate

● Emotionally mature

● Honest and loyal

● Communicates openly

● Wants marriage someday

● Believes that Christ should be the foundation of a relationship

I'm hoping to find my love of my life —someone I can laugh with, pray with, encourage, grow alongside, and eventually build a Christ-centered home together.

If any part of this resonates with you, I'd genuinely love to hear from you.

Tell me about your testimony, your favorite Bible verse, a place you've always wanted to visit, or simply what brings you joy.

Maybe we're just one conversation away from something beautiful that God has planned.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5–6 ✨

May God bless everyone who's searching and waiting according to His perfect timing. 🤍

22M | Looking for my soul mate, my wife, my best friend, my everything.

I know that might sound old-fashioned in a world full of casual connections, but I'm genuinely here looking for something real. Not just someone to text when I'm bored, but someone I can build a life with. My best friend, my biggest supporter, my partner in crime, and hopefully the person I get to call home.

I'm someone who values loyalty, honesty, trust, and genuine effort. I believe the strongest relationships are built on friendship first—being able to talk about anything, laugh at random things, support each other through difficult times, and celebrate life's little victories together.

A little about me: I love traveling and exploring new places, whether it's a planned trip or a spontaneous adventure. I'm a huge foodie and always excited to try something new. Long conversations are my thing—especially those late-night talks that somehow go from silly topics to deep life discussions. I enjoy gaming, badminton, table tennis, chess, and pretty much anything that brings good company and good memories.

I'm the type of person who will remember the small details, check if you've reached home safely, listen when you need to vent, and stay loyal even when things get difficult. I believe love isn't just about chemistry—it's about choosing each other every day, through both the easy and challenging moments.

What I'm looking for is someone kind-hearted, emotionally mature, genuine, and ready for a meaningful connection. Someone who values communication, trust, loyalty, and wants a relationship where both people grow together while still being themselves.

If you're looking for something real, something that has the potential to last, I'd love to get to know you. Tell me about your dreams, your favorite memories, the places you want to visit, or simply what makes you happy.

Maybe we're both just one conversation away from finding something special.

M.Tech Civil Engineering Interview at NIT Warangal Tomorrow – Anyone Else?

Hey everyone,

I have my M.Tech Civil Engineering admission interview at NIT Warangal tomorrow.

Just wanted to know if anyone else from this subreddit is attending as well.

Also, if any seniors or current students have gone through the interview process, I'd be grateful for any last-minute advice regarding the questions, interview pattern, or things to keep in mind.

Thank you!
