Question for BJJ guys as an MMA guy.
For those who have tried or transitioned to MMA, what advantages did your BJJ bring?

Kyokushin is the only full contact karate style I know of. But point style karate, has head shots, sweeps, and throws. So is there anything like that, but full contact?
Not trying to spread hate or anything like that, I just know that people find it annoying, when people call them strong, as a "backhanded excuse" as to why they didn't perform well in the roll.
I think I defeated him on the 3rd or 4th attempt. I just used charged blaster shots to stop his attacks, and the rest was simple. Double oggdo had me in tears though 🤣
A lot of the time in primary school, teachers gave me a really hard time about not using common sense. I was actually trying to do something right, but a lot of the time, I made mistakes that other classmates wouldn't make, then the teachers would then go on to talk about common sense. Looking back at it, it felt that they were trying to call me a dumbass without actually saying it. Did anyone else have this experience?
This has been bothering me for some time now. I pray and pray almost every day for my dad to eventually repent. I saw a verse in matthew saying if I truly believe then it will be answered, but eventually I thought to myself, "if God never changes his mind, why pray" and I found out prayer is about aligning our will with God's. And that "no" is an answer. Now I don't know what to do about my dad. I've debated him, but now it doesn't even seem like he knows I'm Christian. So I don't know how to approach him to bring him to the faith. I can't accept the fact that my dad won't go to Heaven. What can I do?
In this comic, Tchalla and Killomonger fight for days, Tchalla eventually wins, but he is distracted by an ally and killomonger uses that to win. Even though Tchalla would have won, why did the fight last so long, didn't tchalla have the heart shaped herb, and Killomonger only made a synthetic herb after that fight? Did Tchalla have to remove his powers like in the movie?
Should I move my opponents weight to the foot I want to sweep, or the away from the foot I want to sweep. I saw this BJJ guy showing Satoshi his footsweep, he explained that he pushed his opponents weight away from the foot, then he sweeps it, but then Satoshi showed that he should use the collar tie to move weight towards the foot he wanted to sweep. Now I am really confused, and I was looking forward to trying this out in BJJ and MMA. I was going to post this on r/Bjj, but I didn't want to post two things on the same day on the subreddit, and get banned for spamming 😅
This is aimed more to people who compete regularly at a fairly high level. How intense are your warmup, position sparring, and rolls in general going to be?
Aang was injured in his chest area, had to rush down to push the tower, giving him no base, and the tower was actively falling, and gaining momentum as it's kinetic energy increased. This means he was countering the mass and downwards force of the tower. This explains why Aang could only hold the tower for a moment without the Avatar state. Still impressive nonetheless. This was a feat of strength. Toph stuck her arms into the Library, using her arms as an anchor, planted a base using sand bending, and slowed down the rapid deceleration of the library. This library was also being dragged down by the spirit world. Because Toph was using her arms as an anchor, she was dealing more with muscle strain, making it a feat of endurance. You cannot compare these two feats. One is a feat of strength, one is a feat of endurance. That is like comparing Eddie Hall repping 100kg shoulder press, to soldiers seeing who can hold a 20kg plate over their head for the longest.
Combat Sambo is very similar to MMA, just with shorter time on the ground and with a gi, head butt, and groin strikes? So why isn't that considered a Jack of all trades master of none art?
When the topic of SA to men come up, I noticed that some people like to bring up the fact that it's other men that invalidate it. Yes I understand that some men may so "you are so lucky bro" or "should have been me". And that is absolutely disgusting. But is it not also women to? And I feel like people only say this to kind of tell SA survivors "it's your gender that is enabling this", in a way to sort of dismiss their story themselves? I am genuinely not trying to offend anyone and I am deeply sorry if I did, it was on my mind for a bit and I just wanted to express my thoughts. All respect.
Let me explain. I understand that some males will say things like "lucky guy" or "should have been me". And that's also really wrong, disgusting and inconsiderate. But sometimes I feel like whenever a male speaks up about SA, some people feel the need to mention how it's always males who invalidate it. Like, I've seen women do that as well, and not only that, I sometimes feel like people say it to sort of invalidate their experience themselves. Like theh are saying "well it is your specific gender that's the problem". This may be a stretch and I'm genuinely not trying to offend anyone. I understand that not everyone is like this. Apologies if I have hurt anyone at all.
Why did we always use glucose? Infact, fats have more energy than glucose, why not use that?
I get that he is the mind of wukong, but like, how? Is he one of Wukong's clones/hairs or simply a reincarnation?
In the movies, he does have some pretty good feats without the herb, like defeating MBaku, who is basically superhuman, and overpowering killomonger, where he only lost because he held back. But what about the comics?
In the original trilogy, I feel like Vader is shown less as a silent killer and forcefully of nature, but more like a sophisticated warlord, who is still extremely powerful, but doesn't shy away from meetings, sarcasm, and negotiations. For example, his deals with Lando, and his meetings with the Moffs. However, Disney focuses more on his combat side, by making him a silent force of nature. For example, his hallway scene in rogue one, and his fight against Maul, Daki and Devon. Infact, rogue one is a complete balance of this, we see Vader throw out sarcastic comments, like "be careful not to choke on your aspirations", yet also slaughter an entire platoon of rebels without uttering a single word. He's like the sophisticated villain who doesn't want to get his hands dirty, but in this case, he wants to get his hands dirty. This may be pretty obvious but I just thought it was cool!
