Does CEX still honour receipts that said they would expire in 3000~?

I've just discovered an old receipt for credit at CEX that I got around 2012, which says it would expire in 3012. It's a little aged, but I can still see the amount I would be credited for and the expiry.

Do they still honour these credits? It's not a lot of money but it would be nice for a few small purchases if it still is honoured.

TIA!

Quitting being invested in internet drama

I have an addictive personality. I quit drinking and smoking many years ago. I'm AuDHD so I definitely dopamine-seek. I don't go on TikTok nearly as much as I used to, so I know I'm capable.

I quit watching things to do with Gabbie Hanna, she's an energy vampire and I felt that I was wasting a lot of my time engaging with content designed to upset me. So I stopped watching anything about her.

Then recently, some more evidence came to light about her behaviour. Following that, a BUNCH of YouTubers I sort of half watched have all gotten intro a drama vortex and I just ask myself... what am I actually getting from this? I'm just mad about strangers? Parasocial sympathy for people much richer than me? I feel trapped in a toxic environment and yet, I don't know these people at all. It feels really odd.

So, I'm going to be starting to step away from these channels. I'm not benefitting. I just need to make sure I find something rewarding.

Considering getting rid of all my word-heavy books... (with some caveats)

So, I was diagnosed ADHD about 7 years ago, highly suspected autistic by assessors, and I was diagnosed with dyslexia last year.

I was a fairly competent reader until the start of University, I couldn't get through longer texts. I have always struggled with other symptoms like memory issues and difficulty with handwriting, but I find it extremely hard to motivate myself to read. I think my learning disabilities all work against me when I sit down to read.

I'm considering getting rid of any books that I don't think I can realistically get through, but making sure I have a PDF backups. I've been using a lot of text-to-speech programs and audiobooks to finally finish Uni, and it is so much more accessible to me to actually get through literature that way.

My books currently mostly kinda just make me feel guilty that I can't read them. I don't want objects in my house that make me feel guilty. I have quite a few coffee table books and sentimental books that I will be keeping, but anything that's super text heavy, it just makes me feel so horrendously guilty.

TW: Instillations, having "accidents"

I posted a few days ago but things seem to have taken a turn ):

For a small back story: suffering 11 years, nonbinary but AFAB, history of SA, IC came on suddenly after a joint one night and never went away, quit drinking smoking caffeine, don't eat spicy food at all, diagnosed this year.

So I finished my 6 week instillations and honestly everything was looking great before week 5. I was able to hold much more in my bladder and while the urgency was still there, I was able to put it off a little longer.

Before Week 5, I had an event where I had to travel in a car for 4 hours the and back across two days. I also sat on an incredibly uncomfortable chair for the majority of one of the days. After the treatment, I was only able to hold my bladder for 40 minutes which was two hours less than previous weeks. I felt much worse, but by mid-week, things had settled. I had began looking into neuroplasticity and actually I think I was starting to get a grip on my symptoms. For the first time in YEARS, I went to the library and sat down and managed to do some art. Just because, and honestly, that simple pleasure was wonderful. Things were looking up.

However, before Week 6, I made what appears to be an extremely silly decision. I went for a day out in a city. I accidentally walked too much, wasn't brave enough to seek out a toilet, and had to get a traumatic Uber back to the train station. I felt bad, but a bit better by the train and home.

The next day was my treatment. Now I don't know if it's possible to fuck up a catheter on the nurses side, but when I stood up, I felt something between my legs. Waddled to the car, laid in the back seat because I am not able to sit while needing the loo, and then when I stood up out the car, there was definitely something going on.

After I waited the agonising 40 minutes, I went to the loo and the treatment was pretty much just all over my legs and thighs. This is the first time it's happened. However, although I am in absolute misery as my pelvic floor feels locked, I haven't had anymore accidents, which leads me to consider whether the treatment didn't actually make it into my bladder properly?

Anyway, so normally lying down has helped me in the past. It has not today. I am in absolute agony. I keep having to rush to the loo because I think It Is Happening, only to find not much going on, and having a reasonable amount in my bladder, which is not normal for me. I definitely think I have pudendal neuralgia, but idk what to do about the rn :/

I will try and get in touch with my doctor tomorrow, however because it's private via the NHS I'm not sure how much luck I will have.

I'm going to have a bath when my partner can help me, but honestly I feel fucking terrible. I feel humiliated and stupid. I'm probably going to have to miss out on two events I was really looking forward to taking part in as well, which is devastating. I thought I was getting better ):

I've ordered Azo, never had it before but I am in agony. I don't drink a lot of water, haven't since my condition started, but I don't know whether to start?

I hate flair ups like this, it feels like I'll never be normal again ):

Well, that's mortifying...

I just had my last instillation until I switch to monthlies. They have absolutely been helping me hold more liquid, but I think my pelvic floor is to blame, ultimately.

I overdid it yesterday, went for a super long walk in a neighbouring city and upset my pelvic floor something fierce.

Today, as soon as I stood up, I felt something going on. Laid down in the car on the way back, and same thing as soon as I stood up out the car.

I normally do a standing activity for 2+ hours while I wait for it to do it's work, but it was just agony. Had to go to the loo at 40 minute minimum.

Yep, had run out all over my legs. I just feel absolutely mortified that I couldn't hold it :/

Incontinence is not something I tend to struggle with so this is absolutely, I don't even know how to describe how terrible I feel. I'm 33. I've had 11 years of this. I'm in hell.

Lesson learned about taking it easy the day before, but I feel like such a failure :/

Crying on the toilet is pretty tragic but, I'm sure we've all been there. I hope I'm not just incontinent now. That would be incredibly unfortunate. Actually, I would take incontinence over this horrible pelvic tension.

[TOMT][YouTube Video] Video about how Game Freak make Pokémon feel individual, which make fans want to hold onto them

I saw a YouTube video a few years ago about how Game Freak added new elements through generations to make Pokémon feel more individual, making players want to keep hold of them.

The thumbnail was three screenshots from Pokémon next to each other.

Please help, I've been looking for years! TIA!

Got a Distinction!!!!

So after many many years of University, I managed to complete my final module with a 79, classified as a Distinction (:

I'm hoping for a 2:1 equivalent for my overall degree grade so that I am able to consider various post graduate options, but I'm extremely proud of myself for conquering my first degree.

Good luck to all others receiving their results!!! Whatever that screen says you should be extremely proud of yourselves (:

What's the trick for drag and dropping songs into a playlist?

I'm currently trying to drag some songs into a playlist and I've had some songs drag in totally fine, but some stuff just opens the album and I don't know what the trick is. I don't know if I need to long hold the song or if that's wrong or if I need to be in edit mode or what.

HIDIZS AP30 Music Boy isn't a console...

I've seen this new Gameboy-style DAP get posted a bunch of times here, but I think it's misleading to post it on this subreddit.

It is a DAP. It only has a Tetris knock-off, and you can't add anymore games to it. My iPods have had more games than that. Until it gets any OS mods, which I'm not sure is possible just yet, it is just a DAP. That's fine, but if that's the case, then it shouldn't flood this subreddit. Post it on the other DAP subreddits.

Anyone else experience rage?

So I have suffered with my symptoms for 10+ years. I am currently undergoing instillations, and the 2nd one has knocked me on my arse.

Something I have often felt when in extreme urgency is rage. It's uncontrollable. I get twitches and shivers up my spine. I feel like I'm going to explode with anger. It's so distressing.

I aim to become fluent / high reading/listening level in the next 1.5 years... where should I start?

EDIT: It is okay if it is unlikely I will reach 100% fluency in that length of time. I am AuDHD and dyslexic, I need a target in order to work towards goals. Please stop telling me it is impossible. That's okay!!!

Hello!

So I have essentially learned bits and pieces of Japanese over the last ten years. I can read hirigana and katakana okayish. I've started recognising some common kanji. Grammar is still a bit of a mystery to me.

I'm 33 and would love to have made decent progress by the time I am 35, so I am mostly able to enjoy Japanese media and navigate Japanese websites.

I have done online classes in the past and I am open to the prospect again.

Where should I begin?

Selling second hand merch?

So after many years of going to cons, I have inevitably developed quite a collection of fan merch that I don't feel quite the same love for these days.

I was considering putting some pins on Vinted (they do not appear to be handmade) and even perhaps offering a second-hand bin the next time I vend.

I just wanted to vibecheck the etiquette on this. For my own merch, I'd be okay with it. I've already been paid. I don't love the idea of someone selling my work for profit, however, but it isn't my item anymore I suppose.

What do you think? TIA!

First of 6 instillations done today...

TW: Catheters, discussions of needing to pee and peeing

I think?? It might be helping??

I was told to hold it for 45 minutes which sounded like a genuine nightmare but once I got home and was kinda pottering around... I was kinda... okay?

Like I went to pee after like 1 hr. 20 min., which is really crazy for me. If I KNOW I need to go it's normally excruciating and I wiggle around and can't walk properly, but like, I probably could have held on longer which is absolutely bonkers to me. So I will be doing that next week!

The catheter was not my idea of a fun day out, but just breathing through the pain / discomfort helped a lot. It has been weird peeing the instillation out. The air-escaping bubbling definitely felt really weird and I got a lot of burning, so I'll be on the painkillers I think!

I am praying after 10 years, this is the start of the rest of my life. The nurse was really optimistic, so I am hoping that I can gain some semblance of life back. I want to be able to travel in cars again for longer than 45 minutes. I'd like to try drinking decaf teas and coffees again. I'd like to go to gigs without worrying about needing to pee constantly. I'd like to eat the occasional chicken korma again. Just the little life things we have to think about.

Crossing my fingers and hoping the next 6 weeks change my life for the better. It's very early days, but I'm hoping for the best.

Any good categorising software?

So, like probably a lot of you, I have hundreds of ROMs that I have collected over the years.

I'm also a music collector and have a organisation method I'm pretty happy with for organising those.

But is there any software that will help identify ROMs and let me rename the titles etc?

Anyone else absolutely starving on omeprozole?

I can't tell if it's something else messing with my diet, but I feel like I'm hungry absolutely all the time now. I've put on a tonne of weight over these past few months, I'm at the heaviest I've ever been at the minute :/

Anyone else feel this?

iPod 5th Gen stuck on Apple Logo

Recently dug my old iPod out of storage. I had it replaced many many years ago as a teen, but I don't remember what I'd actually tried to fix it.

I could see the Very Low Battery notification, but when trying to turn it on, it just sits on the Apple logo. I've tried to restart it, without success. My PC doesn't recognise it at all. I also do not use iTunes but I'll install it on my desktop if necessary.

Is the hard drive gone? I'm not seeing the black marks I saw on my 6th from the battery. Couldn't hear any excessive clicking or anything.

TIA!

15C Max won't connect to 2.4 Hz connection

Yesterday I dug my 15C Max vacuum out of storage and it was a little dusty but otherwise seemed totally fine.

However, it just won't keep it's WiFi sign on long enough for me to finish resetting and connecting the device.

It will flash for about a minute and just turn off the WiFi symbol and sit on a red light. I cannot determine if the red light means anything because it doesn't beep or anything when attempting to trouble shoot.

I tried turning my phone data off and disconnecting from my main router but nothing has helped.

Any ideas?? TIA!
