The context behind this is that this poor girl accidently made contact with Yog Sothoth and now he's trying to manifest into the physical world through her.

Made this at my college.

Here are 2 pages I made to get better at drawing backgrounds in comics. I tried to make them look like pages for a potential horror comic in the veins of films like "Wrong Turn" and "Jeepers Creepers".

This time I used a solid pen (The soft dip pen in Ibis Paint) unlike my previous works in which I used a lighter pen, in order to avoid making the art blurry. Just used the airbrush for the "Vroom!" sound effect.

What areas do I need to improve upon to draw better backgrounds? And also make the comic feel more atmospheric?

I'm working on a street-racing comic and I'm trying to make a fictional technique called the "Cliff Hook" as mechanically plausible as possible.

The car in the comic is AWD. The driver initiates a handbrake turn and deliberately lets the inside wheel contact the raised edge of the road. The environment is a canyon road with heavy rain.

My initial idea behind this was that it would create additional tire grip, but since that is practically impossible I came up with a different principle to make this scene work: that physical contact with the edge prevents the car from sliding farther toward the cliff and helps the driver maintain a tight line.

The inspiration came from Travis Pastrana drifting on the edge of a dock.(You can see the picture in the last slide)

How plausible is this? What would actually happen to the tire, suspension and chassis? Would changing the road edge to a shallow drainage lip/berm make it more realistic?

His backstory is that he was a terminally ill boy whose parents (scientists) unwittingly gave him the powers to transform his body into wax while trying to cure him. He currently uses his powers to fight crime.

Abilities:

1. He can transform himself into wax and regulate his body temperature to shape-shift. For example, he can make his wax-body colder to get rigid and durable or warmer to get malleable as liquid depending on the situation.

2. He can transform his limbs into weapons.

Weaknesses:

1. He cannot change his body's volume, meaning he can only shape-shift into things that are equal to him in size.

2. Environments with extreme temperatures.

3. The change in temperature during shape-shifting causes him immense pain, but he gets used to it.

Heavily inspired by characters like Clayface and the T-1000 from Terminator 2.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Just a 2-page comic I made, based on a scene from the anime.

This is a standalone horror manga-style panel I drew, based on a scene from Ju-on: The Grudge. First made a base sketch using pencil, then finished it up with a ball-point black pen.

Is this effective enough in conveying horror? What areas do I need to improve upon?

Here's an artwork that I made by using a Pinterest picture as reference, to practice lighting and poses. What areas do I need to improve upon?

I've had dreams of creatures in the deep ocean and tried to capture that feeling through these digital sketches. I made both of these artworks in Ibis Paint.

The previous version of this scene was not as dynamic so I added stuff like additional panels and made use of light trails, speed-lines and motion blur to better convey a sense of speed.

Is this better than the previous one? Are there any other areas that I need to improve on?

2 pages depicting Usui canyon (inspired by Usui pass), a location in my comic's story. Many locations in my comic are inspired by real locations. There's one small twist here: the roads in my comic are haunted.
