Hi everyone. I'm currently working on my first webtoon. It's about street racing and is aimed at a preteen/early teen audience. Would love to receive feedback on its first 3 chapters.
What I want to know is:
Do the chapters act as a good hook?
Is the story too dark for my intended audience?
You can read the webtoon here https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/adrenaline-extreme/list?title_no=1144210
(ALERT: MILDLY LONG POST!)
It's probably the Player himself.
Let me explain:
The development of Carbon was heavily influenced by FnF: Tokyo Drift. Now, the cover art of Carbon pays homage to a shot from the final race in Tokyo Drift (You can see it in the 3rd slide). The shot shows the main character Sean's Mustang and DK's 350Z (A Muscle and a Tuner, just like the cover art).
Considering that the Challenger and Kenji's Lancer were featured in a lot of promotional materials compared to other cars, Kenji was supposed to have a much larger role in the game and the fact that he was more emphasized in the marketing unlike Wolf, Angie and Darius (He appears in the intro, his Lancer appears in one of the game's teasers as well as the cover art), maybe he was supposed to be the final boss of the game and confront the player in a final canyon duel, both using their Lancer and Challenger respectively as a homage to the final race between Sean and DK.
Phew, that was such a chore to write ๐
What do you think of this theory?
This is an episode of an X-files type of anthology series that I was working on which, sadly, never saw the light of day. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
How would you rate it on a 0-10 scale? ๐
After falling off cliffs for God knows how many times, this run seemed decent.
I'm a beginner so I kept it slow, pls don't mind ๐

These are 2 pages from my webtoon. What's happening here is that the mc (red-haired one) is chasing a street gang on a canyon road. One gang member uses his supernatural powers to make the road slippery but the mc counters that by dropping the rear inside wheel off the edge of the cliff to maintain grip.
But I was thinking, is this actually possible? In the anime Takumi did the gutter run by dropping either the front tire or both inside tires, but I don't remember him using only the rear inside tires to do it.
For me it is The End of Evangelion. I remember watching Asuka's fight scene before the entire film and that alone made me think "I want to be an animated film director one day".
As for the film itself, I think it's a bit too pessimistic. But it's truly a well-made movie. And I dare say it, one of the few anime films that's worthy of being viewed in a cinema hall.
Drew this back in school.
Created this poster for my comic. What do you think?
Saw this in a video titled "Mysterious Planet Lake Monsters". I'm curious about the original source.
The female lead of my comic, Kyoko Kimura, in her muscle car, the Maharana Fortitudo. She has named it "Dodger".
Hi! I just saw a post by u/leonofanorlondo where they shared about their street racing story idea, so here's what I'm working on. This is my webcomic named "Adrenaline Extreme" that's heavily inspired from Need for Speed: Carbon and Initial D but with a more 'cyberpunk+supernatural' tone. The story takes place in a near future Metropolis in Kanto, Japan. It follows a special law enforcement unit that battles street racers on canyons that are supposedly 'cursed'.
The first chapter is out on Webtoon, so feel free to check it out.
Hello everyone! I recently published a comic on webtoon which is aimed at a preteen/younger teenage audience. How do I make it appeal to my intended audience?
It's a cop vs street racer story heavily inspired from Need for Speed: Carbon and Initial D.
Profiles that I created for my comic's characters and their cars.
I would like to know your thoughts on them.
